The Lost Princess Of The Lycans Chapter 116: My First Fight

Sarahs POV

I was in the nursery when Ray called for me. I wondered what he wanted to talk about with me. I had just been in his office. It must have something to do with Caleb. That was the last person who entered his office. I walked to his office and knocked on the door. He started asking me about Chrissy, Alpha Mark's daughter. I gave him my honest opinion. She was always kind to everyone.

She even defended the slaves and stopped them from getting beaten. She left the pack when she turned 18. She did not approve of her father's actions, so she went to the human world. As a precaution, Ray did not want me in the office with them. I believe that he thinks she has cast a spell on Caleb. After all, Ray is going to name him Alpha.

Chrissy had alpha blood in her veins. Caleb did not. But he was going to be named Alpha anyway. I believed Ray was going to have Donald perform some ritual or something. I didn't know what he was going to do about that. But the match between Chrissy and Caleb was a good thing.

I went back to the nursery to check on the pups. I had some more training to do today. After checking on them, I went to our room to change into some baggy clothes. I was meeting Brittany in the training yard again. We were going to transform into our wolves and train. I know that Karina has been itchy to run.

She also wanted to see the pups with her own eyes. After all, they were her pups as well. Because they were lycans, and they would eventually transform into her pups. I finished dressing and headed to the training yard. She was there, and she had walls all around her. That was not normal.

" Brittany, what is with the walls?" I asked.

" They are for your privacy," she responded.

" Ray would not appreciate it if everyone saw you naked and stared at you," she stated.

Everyone in our clan has seen me naked briefly. Before, I was ushered behind a curtain to get dressed. That was just part of being a Lycan. But I will let her do that. I did not want Ray to get upset with her. He was not nice when he was upset.

" Alright, take off your clothes and shift," she instructed.

I did as she instructed. I was waiting for her to shift. But she did not. I looked at her. She could tell what I was asking.

" I will shift in a minute," she stated.

" I'm waiting for my mate to let me know he is here. He will stand guard while we practice and train," she stated.

That was sweet of him. But it was not taking away from his duties that he needed to take care of. I know Ray had everyone on double duty. I was deep in thought when I heard Brittany start to shift. I turned around, and she transformed into her wolf Sheba. She then mind-linked me.

" Now we are going to run. Running is an important skill. She stated that it would help with attacks and lead other wolves into traps," she stated.

" Alright," I responded.

So we ran and ran. Karins was grateful for the chance to stretch her legs.

" It's been a long time since I was let out," Karina stated.

" I know," I responded.

We were enjoying the exercise when Sheba stopped suddenly. I almost ran straight into her.

" What is it?" I asked.

Her ears are perked up, which means danger is near.

" There are rogues out there," Sheba stated.

" I will mind link Ray and have him come to where we are," she stated.

" Alright, what do you want me to do?" I asked.

" Just watch and protect yourself," she responded.

"Alright," I responded.

It wasn't long before the rogues burst out of the trees. They immediately went for me. I dodged them, and then Karina's instincts kicked in. Through her eyes, I saw her tear a wolf's throat out. She was using her paws, head, and every part of her body to fight. Within a few minutes, Nash was there. So was Ranger Caleb's wolf.

All three of them positioned themselves in front of me. I mind-linked Nash.

" Let me fight, too," I stated.

" Very well, but the moment you get overpowered, I will step in," he stated.

There were ten of them. I was able to take down three of them, and everyone else took down the others. There was an injured one. Nash was going to interrogate that one. He ordered everyone but myself to shift back to human form. I started running back to the house.

I was covered in blood, but that was normal after fighting. I wanted Karina to see the pups before I shifted back to human form. We ran into the nursery. There were guards posted outside the door. They recognized my wolf and did not try to stop me from entering. The nannies were shocked at my appearance, but they knew it was me.

Karina went to each of their cribs and looked at them. I felt tears falling from her eyes.

" Are you OK?" I asked her.

" Yes, they are beautiful," she responded.

" I cannot wait to meet my pups when they are of age," she stated.

"I bet," I responded.

She stared at them for a few minutes, and then I returned to my human form. I then turned on the shower and got in it to bathe and wash the blood out of my hair. The hot water felt amazing on my sore and bruised body. I took a couple of blows from the wolves I was fighting. I closed my eyes and enjoyed the water running over my body when I heard the bathroom door open. I immediately recognized the scent. It was Ray. He did not say anything and just got in. He got behind me and wrapped his arms around me.

" You did well out there," he stated.

" Thank you," I replied to him.

" Babe, you are making great strides," he responded.

" I know you have come a long way," he stated.

" I have, haven't I?" I stated.

Today was an amazing day. I learned how to control my powers and fight in wolf form. I was exhausted, but it felt good. Tomorrow, I will be just as busy. But I will be helping sit up for the ceremonies and helping with the ex-slaves. I will talk to them and see if we can reconnect them with their families and clans.

I already knew that some of the children were probably born into slavery. Their mothers were perhaps raped, and that is how they became pregnant. That did happen. Slaves were not allowed to have mates even if it was their true mate. However, I hope that there are mated couples that have just kept it a secret this whole time.
