The Lost Princess Of The Lycans Chapter 46: So Much To Do

Sarah POV

We were sitting on the couch enjoying each other's company.

" Are you in any pain, my love?" Ray asked.

" No, not really." I stated.

I had some discomfort in my stomach but not much. My leg was throbbing. But I wasn't going to dwell on that. Truth be told, I was healing a lot faster. The wound on my leg had almost closed already. I probably could get the stitches out tomorrow or the next day. The doctor had given me an IV with more of that medicine that was flushing the silver out of my body.

In a way, I was glad that I didn't get very far today. I was not happy about getting beat again. This time, though, Ray saved me. I'm definitely not running away again. Now is the time to change my thinking and face my fears. I can't let that dictate my life. I was going to be a queen and I needed to be an example.

He was not approaching the subject of the mating ceremony. I decided to start the conversation.

" What do we need to discuss the mating ceremony?" I asked.

" I have my tux and I know you have the dress you want to wear," he stated.

" Yes I do." I stated.

"We need to invite anyone you want," he stated.

That would be easy for me to do. The only person I wanted there was my brother because I had no one else to invite.

" So you know what you will be required to do?" he asked.

" No" I stated.

He then explained to me that I would be required to shift and carry him on my back while in wolf form. Also, that I will be marked in front of everyone and that it might hurt. He was concerned that, in my weakened state, it would be a lot for me. I was ready to do this. Also, after everything, there will be a ball and dancing. There will be a banquet and I will meet the important people of the kingdom.

I also needed to pick any decorations that I wanted. But I really didn't care what decorations there would be. There was a lot of work that needed to be done. We needed to have the ceremony as soon as possible. We decided to have it two days from now. We knew a war was coming. We wanted him to mark me as soon as possible.

When a war happens, anyone can be taken prisoner. If the captive wasn't marked, then they could be marked by the captive's clan and forced to live a life that wasn't appealing as somebody's mate. I didnt want that. He didn't want that either. We have a lot to do. Tomorrow he wanted me to pick out flowers, food and music for the ball. I decided to leave that up to him. At that point, there was no reason for me to be picky.

We weren't going to get the traditional time away to be a couple. Also, I needed to learn what powers I had that the witch gave me. How to use them? He set up a meeting with her tomorrow. My head starts to spin and I feel dizzy. All this is giving me a headache. He notices that I'm not feeling well.

"I know it's a lot," he states.

"We will get through this together," he states.

That night we discussed so much. By the time we had finished talking, we had five pages of a notebook filled with a list of things to do and what we needed for the ceremony. The next few days are going to be very busy. He then lights a fire. He makes some hot cocoa. We then snuggle up on the couch in front of the fireplace.

The nights were getting colder as summer was ending and fall was beginning. Fall was my favorite time of year. I loved the changing of colors. The changing of life as well. This fall was going to be different. I would be a queen and help to defend my kingdom. Also, there ws the possibility that I could be a mom. I don't know. We don't have periods like humans.

I was thinking about all this being held by Ray. I wondered what he was thinking. Was he as happy as I am? Did he want this? All these questions ar3e running through my mind. He hadn't said anything since we had finished our discussion. He was just holding me with a smile on his face.

" Ray, are you truly happy?" I asked.

"Yes, my love," he responded.

That made me so happy that I was crying happy tears. I rest4ed my head against his shoulder. He ran his fingers through my hair. Then slowly down my back. He was gently caressing my body. He tilted my head up and kissed me. I wanted to do more than kiss. But we did need to get some sleep.

"Let's go to bed.," I stated.

" Yes princess," he stated.

He carried me to bed. I didn't mind it. I could walk, but I'd let him carry me for as long as he wanted. It was nice to be pampered and cared for. I couldn't wait until the mating ceremony. Then I would be his forever. I was dreaming about our life together when Karina popped into the dream.

"Where have you been?" I asked.

" I was mad at you," she stated.

" I know." I responded.

" Are you ready to learn everything about you?" she asked.

" Yes." I responded.

" Listen carefully to the witch," she stated.

Then she was gone. Ray and I are running through a field of flowers again, when he picks me up and spins me. Then I woke up. I felt a draft. Ray had gotten up and out of bed. Where was he? What was he doing? I saw a light coming from under the bathroom door. I crept near the door and listened. He was on the phone. He was ordering a ring. I don't think I was supposed to overhear it. So, as quietly as I could, I crept back to bed.

" I know you heard my conversation," he stated.

" Yes I did." i replied.

" How much did you hear?" he asked.

" I heard you didn't know my ring size." I replied.

" Yes, I don't know your ring size, but we will find out tomorrow. My jeweler is coming over in the morning," he stated.
