The Lost Princess Of The Lycans Chapter 135: The Final Count
King Ray's POV
We were discussing what we were going to do to interrogate him. We were unsure if anything could be used against him besides a cross and God. Witches are afraid of what humans worship as God. More or less, they belong to the devil in the human world. Witches are, after all, humans that have acquired magic. I am unaware of anything that could stop them besides killing them, and neither is Donald. I know that Donald and Izzy are powerful enough to cast a spell that would prevent him from using his magic.
But for how long could they hold that? How long could they be able to cast that spell? I know Sarah is more potent than Zorro. The interrogation would be much easier if Sarah, Donald, Izzy, and Juanita combined their powers. But I do not want to put my queen at risk. She is far too precious for that, and she is a mother. She needs to be able to tend to her pups. This whole deal with Zorro and everything else has been taxing on her. I am unsure of how to proceed, and Donald is too. We then decided to take a couple of hours to think about what we would do and how we would interrogate Zorro. In the meantime, he will stay in the dungeon under the protective spell that Donald has put on his cell.
I'm going to take this time while we are waiting to decide what to do to go over the losses and find out the families I need to notify of any deaths or injuries. Some of the warriors were from the palace, my kingdom, and the other clans. I also need to speak with the king of dragons and see if he has suffered any losses and if any of his people are injured. I am happy with them. Their help is greatly appreciated.
The vampires, however, are sitting outside the gates, waiting to be spoken to. I had no desire to talk to them because they did not help in the capture of Zorro or help with the battle at all. Like always, they sat back and watched. The vampires only get involved when it affects their people. I do not know if they knew if Zorro was allowed to continue his reign of terror if it affected them in any way, shape, or form. I returned to the bedroom and checked on Sarah and the pups, who were still sleeping, which was nice. They'd had a long night, and I still needed to finish some things.
I exited the house and headed towards where the dragons camped out. They are strange creatures. They don't care to be indoors very much. They prefer to be in tents or outside. This makes sense; after all, they are just giant lizards and lizards like the sun and the cold. But I was still worried that they had suffered severe loss. I saw some dragons fall during the battle, but I was unsure what they lost or what had happened. As I left the house, Brittany came running up to me. "Your majesty, your majesty," she said,
" I'm afraid I have some bad news. There's a group of witches hiding in the forest. They're talking about regrouping and attacking." she stated.
What did she mean by regrouping and attacking again? That's just not feasible. There's only gotta be at least a few hundred of them, if that. All the other witches have been detained who aren't injured or killed. This is going to be a very long day and night. We will still have small fires, such as these witches hiding in the woods. But that will have to wait for now.
I'm sure Brittany and the Warriors will handle it just fine. Right now, I need to find Darren and find out what kind of casualties he has suffered. I walked into the dragons' camp. There were dragons in human and dragon forms. They also had a medical tent set up. That was the first place I would check to see how many were injured. I then walked into the medical tent. Their doctor was standing by a patient looking at a chart.
I waited until he was done and then approached him.
"Your Majesty," he stated as he bowed to me.
" Hi, as you know who I am, but I do not know who you are," I responded to him.
Which is true. I knew he was a doctor but did not know his name.
" My name is Connor," he responded.
" Nice to meet you," I stated.
"I was on my way to see your king when I stopped in here to get your report first," I said.
" Yes, sir," he responded.
He explained that only three dragons had been killed and only five injured. That was very impressive. Of course, they can fly and breathe fire. I thanked him for his report. I then went to find Darren. He was sitting at a table eating. It looked like he had a couple of bruises and cuts, but that was all. I'm glad they did not suffer too many casualties. Unfortunately, I could not say that about the lycans.
We lost far too many.
" Darren would like to help interrogate the man responsible for this chaos," I asked.
He just shook his head, yes. But the look in his eyes told me that he was more than ready to help. When I asked him to help with the interrogation, his eyes went ruby red. Now that things were settled with the dragons, I went back to the house. I then went to our bedroom, stood in the doorway, and watched Sarah sleep. I needed her to help with the interrogation, but I was so scared that she would be hurt again.
I was at a standstill about how to proceed. I then walked over to the bed and climbed in with her. I pulled her close and just held her. She started to wake up. I did not want to wake her, but I'm glad she started to wake up. I needed to see her beautiful eyes and feel her touch.
" What is wrong, Ray," she asked.
" I need your help," I stated.
" What do you mean you need my help?" she asked.
I then explained my plan to her. I would have extra glycans in the room during the interrogation. She would be surrounded so that nothing would happen to her. She agreed that the pups and the nannies would be in the secret room just in case anything went wrong. That was her first priority: making sure that the pups were protected. That is what a true mom does.
I then hugged her and held her like that for a long time. I told her to get up and get ready. I went to the office and wrote down all the information. I then kissed her and left the room. Izzy, Doanlod, and Juanita were waiting for me when I got to the office. I then went over the plan. They all agreed with the plan. I then started to write down the numbers. The loss of life was ridiculous. I was upset about that. This was a foolish war that lasted less than a day.
