The Lost Princess Of The Lycans Chapter 52: War

Sarahs POV

We were ending our mating ceremony. Then war broke out. I couldn't find Ray. He had ordered me to find Brittany, which I did. In the chaos of everything, I had lost sight of him. After being able to see clearly again and with the weather returning to a normal state. There were wolves impaled on trees. Surprisingly, none of our guests had gotten hurt in the chaos. They had all shifted to their wolves. After I realized that I had somehow got the tress to impale wolves, I was scared.

I wish Izzy had been here to tell me how to use this power. I had no idea. I could have hurt innocent people. I had grown weak from the attack and I shifted back to human form. I was lying on the ground. Brittany and Caleb were still standing in front of me.

Wolves were still fighting. Brittany quickly shifted back to human form and got me my clothes. I threw them on as fast as I could.

I could no longer hold my wolf form, but I could fight with my hands.

I grabbed a chair and tried to run into the fray. But Brittany stopped me. She told me that it would be best if I stayed on the balcony and helped the injured as they were brought to me. Then out of the corner of my eye I saw Nash. He is alright. I ordered Brittany and Caleb to go help him. He had three wolves trying to attack him.

They shift back into their wolves and run toward Ray. There are wolves everywhere. Then I get grabbed from behind. I swung the chair and hit whoever grabbed me. It was one of the enemy wolves. He was trying to drag me off. When Nash jumps over me and lands on top of him, he rips out his throat and blood squirts everywhere.

Then Nash puts his mouth around my hand and pulls me to the back door of the palace. I stop him. I want to help. He looks at me and nods. I promised him that I would stay further away from the fighting. He rushes inside and returns moments later with that evil bastard of a king of alphas. He had shifted to his human form.

All three of us go to the gazebo.

" Stop your people now." Ray demanded.

" Never," he replied.

" Do it." Ray demanded again.

Finally he relents. He orders all his people to stop fighting.

" I invoke the right to one on one combat," Ray states.

" Really" he states.

" Fine" he replied.

Everyone forms a circle. The rules are simple. Whoever kills the other one wins. I have never seen such a thing. I was not happy that there was a possibility that I would lose my mate. Brittany and Caleb are by my side. I know this is going to be hard to watch, but I intend to stay until the end. I know there is a possibility that he could lose.

I will accept whatever fate there is. If he gets defeated, then I will be with my subjects. I know life will not be easy if he loses. If he wins, then he will be the king of all the lands and that brings more responsibility and more land to manage. Either way, I will be at his side.

" Your majesty, if he starts to lose, we have been instructed to take you to your brother." Brittany tells me.

" No, if he loses, I will stay with my people." I told her.

" That is his last wish," she stated.

" No, I will stay with my people and, that's final, I am the queen, and you will do as told," I stated.

" Yes your majesty," she responded.

I doubt she will follow what I have ordered. I would not go without a fight if it came to that. They are circling, watching each other. Nash lounges at the king and attacks and lands a blow across his face. The king then leaps and lands on Nash's back. He digs his teeth deep in. Nash yelps. I tried to rush in, but Brittany held me back.

Nash lounges at his throat. He tears a huge gash in it. The king is bleeding profusely. The king drops to the ground. He transforms back into his human form. He then dies. Everyone is happy that Nash has won. All the wolves that were with the king transformed into human form and bowed down to him.

The dead king's son comes up to Ray. He bows.

" Your majesty, I beg for mercy. Please do not kill me or my family," he begged.

" I will not kill you, but you are stripped of all power, and you are sentenced to be a rogue," Ray responded.

" Thank you your majesty." the ex-prince then left.

I was shocked that Ray banished him, but it was better than killing him. I knew Ray wanted to. I was happy about the outcome of events. The war happened when I didn't want it to, but it was over. There was no longer worrying about it. That would mean we could enjoy each other. Longer than a few days. But now we have a lot more to do. I'm sure he wanted to travel to that kingdom and see what kind of place it was.

I know I wanted to. He ordered Caleb to go ahead and go to the Great Plains where the palace was. I was kind of sad because he wouldn't be there for the feast that I was going to have tomorrow. But for now, everyone needs to go get cleaned up and rest. The injured needed tending too. Both our injured and their injured. I would make sure that they were given an opportunity to swear allegiance or be rogues. Since Ray doesn't believe in slaves.

I'm sure the ones that don't want to do either will be held in the dungeon or something like that. I would leave that business to Ray.
