The Lost Princess Of The Lycans Chapter 172: I Found Her
King Rays POV
We were getting closer to a building one mile from the village when Sarah's voice cut into my mind. She was using the mind-link to tell me where she was.
" Ray, I'm in the shaking building," she stated.
"I'll be there," I responded.
I looked to the left, and I saw a building shaking back and forth. I could see the thunder and lightning striking almost on top of the building. It was violently shaking. I knew Sarah was causing the earth to shake. She had centered around the building to draw attention to it. We found it without any trouble. We walked around to the front of the building. The door was made of wood, and it did not look like it could handle the shaking.
I kicked the door in. It shattered into several pieces. I was horrified at what I saw. Sarah was chained to the wall by the neck, and Ezekiel was on top of her. She was fighting him with all her might. He was banging her head against the floor. I ran over to her and threw him off her. I jumped up to attack him, but Eric stopped me.
" What the hell are you doing?" I asked.
" Go to Sarah, and we will take him to the jail," he stated.
I was fighting against Caleb and Brittany. I wanted to rip his throat out. But Eric was right. He needed to go to jail and face a trial. But he was guilty. It was to decide his punishment. I then went over to Sarah. She was knocked out, and Doctor Bernard was examining her. She was slowly coming around. After begging her to wake up, I gently broke the chain that was around her neck. Her neck was raw from where it had been. I could tell she was in a lot of pain.
I gently picked her up and ran to the hospital. I then gently laid her on a bed. The doctor put an IV in her hand to give her medicine. She has two black eyes. Her lip was busted, and she had a mark on her neck from where the silver chain had been. I left the room and was in the hallway, wanting to hit something. I was ranting and raving when Eric came up to me.
" HOW THE HELL DID YOU NOT NOTICE SHE WAS NOT BEHIND YOU ANYMORE," he screamed at me.
" I wasn't paying attention," I stated agitatedly.
" YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO PROTECT HER," he screamed at me again.
" LISTEN YOU SON OF A BITCH I DID WHAT I COULD," I screamed at him.
He then pushed me, and I pushed him. Then we were on the floor wrestling back and forth. We had knocked several things over. We had gotten to our feet and were throwing punches at each other. Before we knew it, the door to her hospital room opened, and Sarah stood at it. I had him in a headlock, and he was trying to reverse it. We froze in place. She was not happy. You could tell by the expression on her face.
"IF YOU DON'T STOP FIGHTING, YOU BOTH CAN LEAVE," she yelled at us.
She then turned around and slammed the door on our faces. She was pissed off at us. I don't blame her. We were acting like idiots.
" I'm sorry for losing my cool, your majesty," he stated.
" I'm sorry too," I responded.
He did get a couple of good hits. I knew that I was going to have a black eye and bruised knuckles, and he was going to be hurting, too. In all the commotion, I did not have a chance to examine Sarah thoroughly for any bruises. We then settled down, and Sarah opened the door again. She asked if we were going to calm down and be civilized. I could tell she was still pretty upset. We then went into her room.
She walked over to her hospital bed and lay down. She then started to order us around. We both did as she commanded us to. I was surprised that she was being so bossy. It was turning me on, but I was not even going to approach that subject with her. She might end up tearing my head off my shoulders. She wanted to go back to the pack house and see the pups, which was what I expected.
I had mind-linked Jeremy, my new driver, to go ahead and pull a car to the front of the hospital. We then waited for the doctor to discharge her. While we were waiting for the doctor, I looked at her hands. Her knuckles were bruised, and I could tell that her ribs were hurting her. The swelling around her eyes had started to go down. They were still swollen, but they were getting better. Her healing ability was kicking in. I was pleased that she was healing fast.
The doctor examined her and wanted her to rest and take it easy. He said that she would be sore for a few days and wrote her a prescription for pain medication. Jeremy had the car waiting for us. I gently picked her up off the bed and carried her to the hospital's entrance. There was no way I would lose track of her if I were carrying her. I then sat her on her legs while I got in the car first.
She then got in the car and sat on my lap. I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her close. While we were in the car on our way back to the pack house, she asked about Ezekiel, and I told her he was in jail. She also stated that she wanted to be there for the trials and executions. After this evening, there was no way she would be out of my sight again. Ezekiel could have killed her. I would not have been there to stop him from doing it. Then I would have been without a mate, and the pups would be without a mother.
We returned to the pack house, and I scooted towards the car door. I then got out with her in my lap, and when I was moving, I wrapped my arms around her. I carried her to the pups' room and sat her on her feet so she could see the pups. They were still asleep. The nannies apologized to Sarah for not protecting her. She wasn't upset with them. Their primary purpose was to protect the pups, which they did. We both kissed them good night and then went to our room.
I felt she blamed herself for what had happened to her. But it was not her fault at all. I will deal with that later. Right now, I was going to get a shower ready for her. The hot water would feel good on her body. While I was preparing the water for her, she looked in the mirror. She was not shocked by her appearance. She expected it to be a lot worse. I then helped her undress. We got in the shower, and I leaned against the wall, and she leaned against me.
She finally started to cry and shake. I think she finally realized she did not have to be brave anymore. I then gently turned her around and pulled her close. She put her head on my shoulder and started bawling.
" You are OK, my beautiful queen," he stated.
" Let it all out," he stated.
She cried in my arms until the water started to get cold. I then got out of the shower and got us some towels. I helped her dry off and get dressed in some warm pajamas. The morphine was going to wear off. I had already had Brittany run to the pharmacy to get her prescription. When we left the bathroom, there was a knock on the door. I walked over to it and opened it. It was Brittany. She had her medication. I then closed the door, returned to bed, and gave her a pill and a drink.
