The Lost Princess Of The Lycans Chapter 90: Feeling Selfish

Sarahs POV

The guest house was just dusty and by the time I got done there was no dust to be found. I then had Nina help me rearrange the furniture and take the plastic off it. It was all brand new—the whole house. It didn't take long for it to be built. It had four bedrooms. It was going to be for important guests when they came to visit.

We will be staying in the house for a couple of weeks. I will ask Ray for some artwork and things like that to hang on the walls. I know at our home palace there were pictures of former kings. I'm assuming that there will be those here, but I do not know. He was disbanding this kingdom and making it a clan.

So, our picture will be hung up here since we are the new queen and king. I still wonder who he was going to make the alpha of this clan. That was his business. I was putting away the cleaning supplies when Ray walked in.

" Hey baby," he states.

" Hey," I responded.

" I see you have been busy," he stated.

" Yes," I replied.

I cleaned everything and took the plastic off the new furniture. The new dishes were unpacked. The beds had been made with the new sheets. The only was missing was food. Nobody had bought groceries yet.

"I'm starving," I stated.

" I thought you might be," he responded.

"Let's go to the kitchen and get something to eat," he stated.

" I was thinking that we could have dinner here," I stated.

He looked at me with a smile. I wanted some alone time with him. I wanted to eat dinner with just him. Mike was an awesome cook but now and again it was nice to cook.

" Ok I'll have someone run to the store and get what you need," he stated.

" That would be great," I responded.

I made a list and gave it to Nina. It was around five in the evening. We will be eating late tonight. Which I didn't mind. I wanted to cook some steak and potatoes. I loved steak and potatoes. Being able to eat regularly was good. I started craving food and from what I heard about being pregnant that was normal.

Ray went to the kitchen and got some drinks for us. He brought water, soda, and hot chocolate. He also brought some tea over. He also brought some coffee. We sat in the kitchen of the guest house and drank some coffee. Nina got back from the store with the groceries. She got everything on the list.

Ray helped us put the food away then I started cooking our dinner. I baked the potatoes in the oven. I cooked our steaks and made a salad. I sat the food on the table. We ate our dinner in a comfortable silence which was nice. We did not have all the noise of the palace. We finished our dinner when there was a knock on the door.

It was Caleb.

"I've come to inform you I'm going back to the White River Clan," he stated.

" Yes, you will be but not tonight," Ray stated.

" What do you mean not tonight," Caleb asked.

" I will talk to you in the morning," Ray stated.

Caleb then bowed and left. I wondered what was going on. I'm sure he had something in mind. But tonight I wanted to be with just my mate. I did not want to discuss royal engagements or alphas. I wanted to just enjoy Ray's company. Ray had come back from walking Caleb to the door.

" I need to talk to you about something," he stated.

" Yes, what it is," I asked.

" The White River Clan," he stated.

Well, it looks like just having him to myself was not going to be possible. I did not hide my face. I had a look of disappointment on it.

"What's wrong," Ray asked.

" I just want to be us tonight. I don't want to discuss royal duties or anything like that." I stated.

" OK then we won't," he responded.

I half expected him to get angry. But he didn't he just said ok. He had a smile on his face. I guess he was tired of not getting alone time. We were always getting interrupted or rushed with our plans. He picked me up off the couch and took me to the bedroom. I giggled. I wasn't expecting that.

There was a bathroom attached to the master bedroom. I cleaned it well earlier. Some of the items I had Nina get at the store were toiletries. So I knew we would have what we needed to bathe. Also, I had her get some towels from the palace earlier. Everyone was busy boxing things up there.

Tomorrow they would start tearing the palace down. Everyone else will be sleeping in tents until the pack house is ready. Also, there will be warrior quarters for the single warriors. There will be a house for the females and the males. The pack house will be for the high-ranking warriors and their families.

We went into the bathroom. He placed me on the chair that I had in there. He started running the bath water. He put some lavender bubble baths in it. It was like he could read my mind. He was so in tune with me. I'm slowly learning him. I can now feel how is feeling. I wish I could read his mind. But I cannot yet. Maybe one day I will be able to. He helped me undress and then he undressed himself and got in the tub first.

I climbed in and sat in between his legs and laid my head against his chest. I loved feeling his skin next to mine. I loved it when he touched me or I touched him it would send small bolts of lighting all over my body. I know it helped soothe him being close to me. It helped me too. We were enjoying the quiet when the bathroom door burst open.

It was two people we had never seen before.

" Your majesty excuse our intrusion." they started.

Ray jumped out of the bathtub punched both men and knocked them out.

" Ray you didn't allow them to speak," I said.

" I don't give a damn what they wanted." He stated.

" You don't burst in the bathroom and then look at my naked mate."

He picked them up by the hair and drugged them out of the bathroom.
