That evening, when she had returned, she was weak. I had no idea how she escaped Donald and returned with a bump on her head and her legs hurting. That night, before we went to bed, I tied a rope around my ankle and then tied the other end to her ankle. I was going to make sure nobody could take her in the middle of the night without waking me up. She did not feel me tie it around her ankle. She had woken up several times at night to go to the bathroom. Each time she walked to the bathroom, I could feel the rope tighten around my ankle as she walked to the bathroom. It woke me up several times. The plan worked. I was supposed to be woken up.

The next morning, when we woke up, she realized a rope was around her ankle and did not react much. She asked me to untie it so she could get dressed. She had a smile on her face that said she understood why there was a rope around her ankle. After she got dressed, she waited for me to tie the rope around her ankle. She waited patiently for me to get dressed. Then we began the day. We stopped by the pup's room, and then we went to the kitchen, got something to eat, and she sat on my lap. Then I went to the war room.

Every clan has one. Usually, we did not let women in there unless they were alphas of their pack. Everyone saw that the queen was there when I walked in, but they were unhappy. I did not care. Sarah chose to sit in a corner. While I was busy informing everybody about the attack plan, she escaped the war room. I will deal with that later. I then mind-linked Henry to follow her every move. The only place he was not allowed to go was our room. Because if she was getting changed, he was not allowed to see her naked. But he was to knock on the door and wait for an answer. If she did not answer, he was to bust the door down.

I also put cameras in our room. So they would automatically turn on with movement. So, she was protected either way. I also summoned Izzy last night. There was no way anyone was kidnapping her again. She was going to be watched at every turn. My phone started buzzing twenty minutes later, and I could see she was in the bedroom. Izzy had gone in first and searched the room, even cast a spell to ensure no uninvited people were in there. After she cleared it. Sarah was left alone. I could hear her talking to Ruby. She was asking questions about Donald. After, I was satisfied that she was OK. I returned to my meeting.

I informed everyone that this was going to be bloody. We did not know where Donald was and that Lycans were already inside the dragon's kingdom, helping protect the stone. Sarah had her protection detail. Darren then went over where the egg was. He said that there were booby traps and to be careful. I was pleased that he had thought about having booby traps. He also witched-proofed the hiding place. He was a good king. I was still in shock about this egg. He said it only works on weak-minded dragons. Mainly young dragons that were learning to shift.

I knew they would be on Donald's side if he got his hands on the stone. I told him I would have my men take the egg to a hiding place. They would inform us in an hour if they had it and if it had been taken. He was not as pleased with that idea. But he understood and allowed it. We waited for an hour to hear from them. When they sent word, they had the egg, and the booby traps had hurt some of the men, which was acceptable at this point. We were trying to save and keep humans out of our world. We have only ever included humans in our wars once in my lifetime.

It was a shock to them that the monsters that hid under the bed were actually real. They knew that some of our mates were among their people, but they never fought us when it came time to claim them. We finished our plans and then went to get lunch. We were going to go over everything after lunch. We were going to have attacks from all sides. Also, the dragon's palace would be completely surrounded by lycans and dragons.

The witches were going to have a long war. Sarah was going to cause the weather to be bad, and they could not fly. She and Izzy were going to be our secret weapon. Sarah would be inside the dragon's palace while Izzy was out helping people attack the witches. Every witch was going to be burned alive. I knew Donald was going to be there. He wants to get the egg and Sarah and try to combine her DNA with the dragons.

That combination would be dangerous for whoever held that kind of power. Dragons did mate with witches. Some of the dragons that were here had mates that were witches. They disapproved of what their king was trying to do. They wanted to live in peace, and they were going to defend their mate's people. That is just how it is. Eric had ordered his best warriors to come here and help. All of Caleb's warriors were going to help. All the alphas had their best warriors here.

It was going to be a long war. Witches did not care if they lost people or not. Lycans did. I went to find Sarah. Everyone was eating lunch, and I needed to know she was OK. I could feel she was, but I needed to see with my eyes that she was. I found her out in the garden with Izzy. They were practicing. All the guards that had been assigned to her were there. She was learning to use the trees and branches to capture people. I sat back and watched for a while. I knew she could sense that I was there. I enjoyed watching her practice. She needed to practice.

If she kept getting good at that, she would need to learn how to fight with her hands and in her lycan form. But she risked a lot to help us fight in the coming war. She was risking losing the baby she was carrying. She was risking losing her sanity. I do not know if witches lost that, but she was not just a witch; she was also a lycan. She was strong and beautiful. The way the sun was shining surrounded her in a golden light. It was highlighting her features very well. Even her baby bump was starting to show.

I looked away for a moment, and when I turned around, she had her hands on her stomach. A white light was coming from her hands and going into her stomach. I ran to her.

" What are you doing," I asked.

"I'm casting a spell of protection on the baby," she stated.

I let her do it. The baby was already going to have her DNA, and it was unsurprising that she wanted to protect it.

" I think it's time you ate some lunch," I stated.

She agreed with me. We walked into the house together.

" Also, young lady, you are in trouble for untying the rope I had around your ankle," I stated.
