The Lost Princess Of The Lycans Chapter 160: A Family Dinner

King Rays POV

After visiting Eric, I sat in my office and watched him and Sarah in the garden. The clouds started to turn gray, and I knew Sarah was getting upset about something Eric told her. I ran to the front door and was by her side in less than a minute.

" What is wrong, princess?" I asked.

"Something Eric told me about my mother," she stated.

I looked at Eric, and he shrugged his shoulders. I knew what he told her without him even saying anything. It was how her mother died. They had to pry her fingers open to take Sarah from her. She has been through so much it was a wonder she wasn't bitter and crying all the time. I then took her into the kitchen and held her for a while. She finally quit crying, and the sun came out again. I then got a bottle of wine and a soda. I poured mine and Eric's wine.

We all talked briefly, and then Sarah checked on the pups. I knew she was spending as much time with them as she could. I also knew that she wanted to make sure everything was ready. The luggage was already loaded up and ready to go. The pup's car seats were by the door, so when it was time to leave, they could be put in them, and we could go. I'm glad that she left to go tend to the pups. I wanted to talk to Eric about approaching the subject of their parents cautiously and leaving out details of their deaths.

I knew he knew about her powers, that they could be dangerous, and that she could easily get upset.

" Eric, I know you have a lot to tell Sarah, but be cautious about telling her about their deaths, " I said.

" I can tell I need to be careful," he responded.

" So, how are you, Amy, getting along," I asked.

" She is expecting a pup," he responded.

" That's wonderful," I responded.

That is fantastic news—he's going to be a father. We will have to celebrate the wonderful news, but we will do that at the palace. They are members of the royal family and will be given all the proper treatment. I will discuss this with him at a later time. Right now, I want to go over the plans and make sure that things are in order.

" Eric, let's go over the plan again," I stated.

" Alright," he responded.

We went over the plans again, and everything was in order. He would ride in the first van with six of his warriors. Then, six more would ride in the second van. Caleb would be in the third van with five of his warriors, and his warriors would also be in the fourth van. Sarah and I would be in the fifth van with the pups and nannies, who are also warriors, and there would be three more of my warriors in that van. Then, the last four vans would have several warriors in them.

We would be very well protected. There is a chance of rogue attacks at night, but if they attack, they will have a fight on their hands. If anyone else attacked us on our way, they would still have a fight on their hands. I was not taking any chances. We had to go back to the White River Clan, but we were going to be safe on the way there. It was almost dinner time. I decided to go and check on Sarah.

I walked into the nursery, and the nannies were getting the pups ready to travel. They were wearing the pajamas that Sarah had ordered. They were eating their dinner. But Sarah was not in the nursery. I then went into our bedroom, and on our bed was a long-sleeved blue dress. It was the V-neck one that I had bought her. She also had her blue undergarments set out and her knee-high boots. The rest of our things would be moved to the palace after we left.

Brittany had already had people in place to pack everything up. The rooms would be thoroughly cleaned to make sure nothing was missed. Mike would be traveling with us. So would Doctor Bernard. Brittany had her doctor. She was at the hospital going through everything she would need to run the hospital and clinic. She was taking her responsibilities seriously. She had been at the academy, seeing what she would need to train warriors.

Things were falling into place here. My work was done. All the prisoners that needed to be dealt with had been dealt with. Brittany would see to any executions. I left a list of the prisoners who were to be executed and the ones who had a jail sentence. It was up to her to determine the jail sentence. I heard the shower going in the bathroom. That was a good idea, but I will take mine after dinner.

Sarah walked out with a towel wrapped around her. She looked breathtaking. Her hair was dripping wet from the shower, and her cleavage showed just enough to tell that she had no bra on. I knew she had no undergarments on. I could feel my cock getting hard, but I surpassed the urge to make love to her. I was sitting on the edge of the bed when she walked over to me and stopped in front of me. I place my forehead on her stomach.

She dropped her towel to get dressed, and my breath caught my throat. She picked her towel back up and covered herself back up. We then discussed how beautiful she is and what she does to me. I also joked about if I had my way, she would be naked all the time so I could stare at her all the time. I then helped her with her clothes. She ran a brush through her hair. She looked amazing. She did not put her hair up or blow dry it. She let it hang naturally, and it suited her.

She did not put on her socks or boots. She went to dinner barefoot. When we got to the dining room, Eric stood up and pulled out her chair before I could. I let out a little growl and told him that she was my woman. He understood where I was coming from, and I also understood where he was coming from. There was a lot he did not get to do when she was growing up, and he wanted to make up for lost time.

I would have to be patient and understanding. I would let him enjoy his brotherly duties in my absence. But I will set clear boundaries with him when we are together—what his duties are and what mine are. Most of all, we both needed to protect her and the pups. Mike served us dinner, and we had a delightful conversation. Eric brought up how he was raised, the silly things we did as children, and so forth. I could see it was making Sarah happy.

After dinner, he excused himself. Sarah and I sat in the dining room for a moment longer.

" You seemed to enjoy having dinner with him," I stated.

" I loved it," she responded.

It's good that she enjoyed it. We will have many dinners with him while we visit the clans.
