King Rays POV

After lying her on the bed and covering her, I left to talk to Donald and Caleb. As an alpha, I now need his permission to visit his clan. I had briefly discussed visiting with him but never got to finish. The only time I do not need his permission to go to his clan is if there is a major concern for his clan's safety or if they commit a crime against the law.

I went to the kitchen to get a drink and found Donald, Issy, and Juanita there. They had washed up and changed clothes, which I had not done yet.

" Donald, what are you going to do with his head?" I asked.

" I'm going to put it in a jar, cast a spell on it, and seal it in there forever," he said.

I was pleased to hear that. I knew that he could not be resurrected then. They were discussing going home in a few days, which was long overdue. But Donald reassured me that he would be back to help Sarah with her power, which I was grateful for. I knew Sarah would practice using her powers while he was gone and continue her warrior training.

After finishing my conversation with Donald, I went to find Caleb. I haven't checked on any of the injured or the prisoners. Right now, I am not worried about that. The war was over, and now was the time to rebuild and regroup. It was time to send warriors home and console the families that needed it. There were also executions to deal with and to find the alpha of the lost pack. Then there was the issue of the injured.

There is so much to do and not enough time in the day. As I was walking to the hospital, I ran into Caleb.

" There is the man I wanted to see," I stated.

" Yes, Your Majesty," he states as he bows to me.

" What is it, your majesty?" he asked.

" I wanted to ask you for your permission to come to your clan," I asked.

" You are always welcome," he stated.

I then dismissed him. Now, it was time to go back to Sarah. I was craving her touch and her scent. When I walked into our room, she was still asleep. She must have changed her clothes. That blue thing that she was wearing was not flattering to her figure. She had changed into my shirt. She looked so beautiful lying there in bed. Her hair was a mess, wearing my t-shirt and her tan skin. I could feel myself growing hard. I then walked over to the bed and lay down on it.

I lightly move a strand of hair out of her face. I then slid my hand down her face and under her shirt. I started playing with her nipples. She started to move around. I had no idea what time it was or what part of the forest I was in.

Sarah was all I could think about, and how badly I messed up.

" You are stupid," Nash stated.

" I know, Nash," I responded.

" Karina isn't talking to me either," Nash stated.

Well, that is just great. Now, both of them are mad at us. Nash did not do anything. This is not what I had planned for the evening. Nash was craving his mate, too. I'm sure Karina wanted to be close to him as well. But my stupid actions have messed that up. Now, what am I going to do? I have to fix this.

I then turned back towards the house. There was no need to continue walking around aimlessly. This was the first time I had messed up, and it wouldn't be the last time either. I then called Mario, who specializes in flower arrangements. He answered on the first ring.

" Yes, Your Majesty, please forgive me, but it is late," he stated.

" I know, and I apologize for it being so late, but I really messed up with my girl," I said.

" That does happen from time to time," he stated.

" You need an apology gift," he asked.

" Yes," I responded.

"Consider, it is done," he stated.

I then hung up the phone and knew the flowers would be taken care of. Now, I need to get the chocolates and a teddy bear. But where would I find that? I have to wait until the morning for that. I will sleep on the couch for now. I will take a peek and see if she has gone back to sleep or if she is awake.

I finally made it back to the house and opened the door slightly. I was pleased she was asleep. So were the pups. The nannies had closed the door between our room and the nursery, which was fine. I wanted Sarah to rest. I thought about just staying in my clothes and climbing into bed but decided against it. I will go to sleep on the couch.

I did not know what to do at that point. I wanted to talk to my father, but that would not happen. Where to turn to for advice? I had no idea. I don't think anybody had a mate like Sarah. She has been through so much that my horny ass goes and does something that probably triggered her. I was sitting on the couch when I heard the nursery door open. It was one of the nannies. She had a knowing smile on her face.

" Is everything all right, your majesty," she asked.

" Not really. I messed up with Sarah," I stated.

" It is okay. She is your mate and will understand," she stated.

I knew she knew what she was talking about. She lost her mate due to illness a while ago. They have been together since they found each other. She is old enough to be a grandma now. She then went back into the nursery. I laid down on the couch and closed my eyes. It wasn't long before I felt her body next to mine.
