The Lost Princess Of The Lycans Chapter 197: An Impostor

Sarah POV

After a crazy afternoon of practicing with Izzy, I was prepared for the coming war. I knew we were leaving in the morning, and I was sad because I had to leave the pups. But I understood why. It was for their protection. I had some new tricks regarding my part in the war. Izzy taught me a couple more things. After that, it was lunchtime. I sat on Ray's lap while we ate lunch. He still had business to attend to with the other alphas.

He went back to dealing with them. I went back to practicing. After I finished that, Ray found me, and it was time for dinner. He said he had a surprise for me. We enjoyed a wonderful evening together. When we returned to the house, we learned we were urgently needed. We left shortly after that. When we arrived, Darren and his mate Mandy greeted us. After making introductions, Mandy and I went to the dining hall. We left the men to discuss things. My part in the war was controlling the weather.

Mandy had a meal prepared for me.

" I know being pregnant can make you hungry," she stated.

" Thank you," I responded.

As I was sitting down to eat, I heard a massive explosion. The witches were attacking. I could not believe it. I wanted to get to know Mandy. But it will have to wait for another time. We ran into the hall where we had left Ray and Darren. Ray told me to get ready. Mandy and Darren ran out of the room as well. I heard clothes ripping and roars as soon as I was sure they were out of the building. I started by throwing my hands up. I took deep breaths. I needed to control myself. I made sure to keep my focus on doing what was required.

Izzy was outside in front of where I was standing. I knew she positioned herself there for a purpose. When it was time, she would tell me, and I would get to use the new thing I had learned. While practicing, she taught me to throw a fireball while controlling the weather. I did it once while practicing. I made sure that I could do it. But this evening was going to be hard. I needed to keep my composure. I was afraid of missing things and being unable to do what I needed.

I could hear the wind outside getting worse every time I concentrated on making it stronger and stronger. When I could feel the place shake, I knew it was strong enough. I held it there. I closed my eyes, so I could astro project and see what was happening. I could see that the witches were on the ground. I also noticed that Donald had a group of witches around him. Izzy was not ready yet. She was firing fireballs at the witches that were trying to attack her. She was doing well.

I started to cause thunder and lightning. It was scarring the witches. That's what I wanted it to do. They were afraid of fire. The dragons were using fire against them as well. I could see Ray, and he had a witch by the throat, and then he killed him. He died a bloody death. I was so lost in using my powers that it felt safe for the first time. I was not worried or upset. I then heard Ray's voice behind me. When I turned around, the look he had on his face was scaring me. He acted like I was not me. I have no idea what I looked like, but it must have been scary. I toned down my powers. He then ran out of the room.

As he did, I could see he was going after Donald. That is when Izzy yelled. I fired a fireball through the weather, and it hit him. He was down, then Ray ran over to him. He killed him. He was dead, and a lot of the witches were retreating. I started to let the weather go back to normal. The witches retreated, and the dragons did not take any prisoners. Any injured witch was beheaded and then burned. I felt bad that they were unable to defend themselves. But this was not something I could say anything about. King Darren was the only one who could stop it, and I would not interfere with anything. I have done my part.

After the weather returned to normal, I went to find Ray and everyone else. I was told that they were in the infirmary. To my surprise, there were only a few injured, and nobody had been killed. When I walked into the room, everyone went silent. What was going on? Why were they all staring at me? Then they started clapping. Why were they clapping? Then Darren and Mandy came up to me.

" Thank you for helping," they said at the same time.

" You are welcome. Thank you for letting me help." I responded.

I knew that I and my powers scarred the other clans. I did not want them, but I have them. I have decided to use them to help and not hurt people. It's what you do with what you have, whether it makes you good or bad. Most people think witches are always evil, but they are not. But you do have evil witches. Izzy is a good witch. She was cast out of her coven because she wanted to help people and not hurt people. I know she was very inexperienced when she tried to help me. But that is no reason to cast her out.

I'm going to talk to Ray about making her the palace witch. She would be good to have around because she can help with spells. Also, she can continue to train me. I have a lot of training to do, such as with my powers and hand-to-hand combat. Also, I learned how to fight in my lycan form. But that would have to wait until after this pup was born. I knew I would have to see Doctor Bernard when we returned to the White River Clan. After getting the ovation that I received, I was happy. Mandy then came up to me and guided me to the kitchen. I was starving.

" Ray did not tell us you had powers," she stated.

" It was an accident the witch that I helped cast a spell to protect me, and it fused with my blood," I stated.

That was odd. I knew Darren knew that I had powers, but why did he not tell her? I'm so confused. I then looked into her eyes, and they were a different color—not the same color as the first time that I met her. I acted like I overlooked that.

" I need to go find Ray," I stated.

" But aren't you hungry?" she stated.

" Yes, I am, but I need to talk to Ray," I stated.

She then grabbed my arm.

" You are not going anywhere except with me," she stated.

I fired a fireball at her. Then I ran out of the room and down the hall. I was not paying attention to where I was going, and I ran straight into Darren and the real Mandy. Ray was with them.

" Sarah, I'm so glad we found you," Ray stated.

" I'm glad I ran into you," I stated.

Darren explained to me that he found Mandy locked in a closet. I turned around, and the impostor was being carried down the hallway. But now she was changing into a witch. The spell was wearing off.
