The Lost Princess Of The Lycans Chapter 123: A Run In The Forest

Sarahs POV

After Ray left, I got out of the bath, got dressed, and went to the nursery. The pups were sleeping. I then sat in a rocking chair and just watched them sleep. I was almost asleep when I heard a commotion outside the nursery door. I wondered what was going on, so I got up and opened the door.

Brittany was standing outside the door.

" What is going on," I asked her.

" There is a dragon in the house," she responded.

" What dragon, and do they exist?" I asked and was in shock.

I have heard stories about dragons but did not think they existed. There has never been any interaction with them that I knew of. But then I was always in the barracks when there were guests at the White River clan. When important guests showed up, the slaves were kept in the barracks because they did not want news to get back to the king. So, I had no idea that they existed.

" So why are you outside my door," I asked.

" Are we under attack," I asked.

" No, Your Majesty, this is a precaution," Brittany responded.

" Ray has ordered a protective detail," Brittany stated.

That was the way he was. Very protective and very concerned about safety. He wanted to ensure we were always safe and that nothing could harm us. I then returned to the nursery and informed the nannies of the situation. They immediately shifted into their wolves. They stood by the door and would not let anyone enter. The pups woke up. I picked up Isabella and then Raymond. I grabbed the nursing pillow and laid the pups on it. I undid the buttons on my shirt and positioned the pups in what they call a football hold, so I could nurse them.

It wasn't long before they fell back to sleep, and so did I. The next thing I knew, Ray had come in. He picked up the pups and placed them into their cribs. He then carried me to bed. I thought he would crawl into bed with me, but he grabbed some clothes, and I heard the house's back door open. I knew exactly what he was doing. He was going to let Nash out so he could run.

Karina has been begging to be let out. She needed to stretch her legs. I informed the nannies and the guards that I would let Karina out. To really think about it, a lot of the kingdom has never met Karina. I was always in human form. I decided that I would let the nannies meet Karina. I shifted into Karina in the nursery.

After shifting into Karina, she went to the cribs and admired the pups.

" Karina, let's go," I stated.

"OK, I just wanted to see the pups," she stated.

" I know," I stated.

Her pups are in their tiny bodies and won't meet until they are twelve. I sometimes forget that. We then exited the house and went for a run. We ran into Nash, which was on purpose. Karina wanted to see her mate.

" Sarah, what are you doing," Ray asked.

"Karina needed to be let out," I responded.

" She also wanted to see her pups," I stated.

" Yes, I wanted to see my pups," Karina stated.

" Yes, I want to see my pups as well," Nash stated.

" You will get to meet them tonight," I stated.

We ran through the trees, and Nash and Karina tackled each other. They spent time together as mates. I just sat back and enjoyed her enjoying herself. Ray was doing the same regarding Nash.

It was nice not to do anything or think about anything. Nash and Karina enjoyed some intimate moments, and then it was time to return to the house. It was getting late. Depending on how you looked at it, it was at least two in the morning, possibly later or earlier. When we returned to the house, Nash did not shift immediately. This was the first time he had seen his pups.

Ray wanted to let him enjoy the moment for as long as possible. He first went over to Raymond's crib, nudged him with his nose, and was satisfied that he was OK. Then, he did the same to Isabella. After Nash licked each pup, he was content to shift. I did the same. Ray and I then went to take a shower.

Ray turned on the shower, and we got in. We washed each other and just held each other. Enjoying each other's naked bodies. We were not doing anything to turn each other on but enjoying the skin-to-skin contact. Which we seldom get anymore. We then dried each other off, and he carried me to bed. I was still naked.

The nannies were still in wolf form, watching the pups. I'm sure they will feel safe enough to return to their human form with Ray in the next room. I already had Stacey bring them some clothes, so when they did feel OK, they would shift back and have clothes.

After all, I did not want two naked females in the nursery. I know Ray only has eyes for me. That was not a worry. I did not think it was appropriate for them to run around with no clothes on. They were old anyway, and I doubt they would put up with any nonsense, even from their king.

They were beautiful for their age. Lycans did not age like normal people. They wouldn't look old until they were at least 500 years old or so. We lived for a very long time. That is unless we were killed in battle or someone just murdered us. Finally, after everything was settled and taken care of, we settled in bed and lay beside each other. He was holding me, and I fell asleep in his arms.

When I wake up again, the sun is coming up. I can hear Ray tending to the pups in the nursery. Why did he not wake me when they woke up? He can't nurse them. I did have some milk bottles in the refrigerator in the nursery so he could feed them if he needed to. I got out of bed and grabbed my robe, which was hanging on the bathroom door.

I walked into the nursery. Ray has his back to me, holding Isabella and Raymond. I wrapped my arms around Ray and lay my head against his back.

" Good morning, beautiful," he states.

" Good morning, handsome," I responded.

" Why did you not wake me up," I asked.

" You looked so beautiful and peaceful I did not have it in me to disturb you," he responded.

That was sweet. He was always thinking about my comfort, and he treated me very well. Even after having the pups, he was always willing to help with them. Most glycan males leave the child-raising to the females.
