The Lost Princess Of The Lycans Chapter 42: Danger

Sarah POV

The king of all alphas is coming in a few days. I have met him on several occasions. He was one of the people who had abused me. I wasn't pleased that he would be coming. I didn't want to tell Ray. But he needed to know. I decided that I would put it off for as long as possible. I didn't want to upset him. He was already pretty upset.

I know why he was coming so soon. It was to see if I had told him anything. King Ray is among several kings in the land that are against abuse and against slavery. I know I'm not ready to see him again. I'm going to run away. I don't want to be anywhere near him. He was worst than Roland. So I decided to pack a few outfits. I'll get the birthmark covered with a tattoo. I sat down on the bed.

I have tears in my eyes. I'm running away from someone who has been nothing but loving, kind and understanding. Where will I go? I would have to go to the human world, but I don't know where that is. I then go to the library. I found the maps. I find the border of our world and the human world. It looks to be about 10 miles from here.

I didn't realize that we were that close. I know some lycans and werewolfs have lived among humans. They get permission. I know that if I do this I will become a rogue. That is something I definitely don't want to become. I will have to face the king of alphas. I went back to my room and sat down on my bed. I had a lot to think about.

Stacey came back into the room. I was going to talk to her about her feelings about being moved back to princess status. Although I don't know why, since I was planning on running away. I'll just leave it be for now. Right now I have to plan my escape, if you want to call it that. I wasn't really escaping.

She left the room and I grabbed the duffle bag and packed the few outfits that I had chosen. I will wait until right before dinner time. I noticed that there was a changing of the guard about that time. I then act like I'm going to the garden, and then I will run to the forest. I was waiting in my room when the whistle blew for dinner.

I headed to the elevator and down to the first floor. Ray was still in his office. I then went out the front door. There was no one around. I headed to the gate. I hid behind a pillar and waited for the guards to pass. I then ran as fast as I could. To the forest. I was stopped by this enormous pain in my chest. It came from nowhere. I dropped to my knees.

I didn't know what it was caused from, but I picked myself up and kept going. I got dizzy, and my legs were starting to give out. I was able to lean against a tree for support. Then all of a sudden I was hit on the head. Everything was fuzzy. I could make out wolves, but that was it. Then everything went black.

I was coming around when I noticed I was chained to a chair. What is going on? Then the king of all alphas came into the room. The one person I was trying to avoid was right in front of me.

" We meet again, princess," he stated.

" Not like I wanted to see you again," I stated.

" What have you told King Ray?" he demanded.

" Nothing," I stated.

He then slapped me across the face and shouted.

"LIAR."

" I haven't told him anything. I don't know anything," I stated.

He then slapped me again and punched me in the stomach. He then stabbed me in the leg with a silver knife. He left there. I could feel Karina trying to come to the surface. I closed my eyes because of the pain. When I opened them, everyone gasped in horror. They were all afraid of my eyes. Why, I wondered?

" So it's true," he stated.

Whats true? I don't know what he is talking about. Then, without warning, Karina burst through the barrier, and I was shifting. I was halfway through shifting when I started to shift back to human form. The knife was still in my leg, which was preventing me from shifting into my wolf.

I was about to black out when the door was thrown halfway across the room. Nash and four other wolves burst into the room. They all create a blockade in front of me. I black out. I was coming around again when I was in the hospital. What happened? How did I get here? All these questions were flooding my mind. Then I heard his voice.

" Why was she out there by herself? " Ray stated.

" How did they know she was there? " Ray asked.

" I don't know." I heard a female voice.

I was lying there listening to their conversation. I really didn't care what they were saying. I needed to get my head cleared, so I could talk to Ray. He needed to know what kind of animal the king was. Also, I need to find out what everyone was afraid of my eyes. So many questions and so few answers.

I lay back down because my head was hurting. I have had a long day and just want to go to sleep. I can't believe I tried to run away. I'm glad that I didn't make it far. I wasn't pleased the way I was caught. But Im safe now. Now is the time to tell Ray about the king of alphas.
