The Lost Princess Of The Lycans Chapter 71: The Great Plains Kingdom

Sarah POV

We arrived at the palace of the Great Plains Kingdom. The palace was in need of repair. The former king did not take care of the palace. When we walked into the palace, Ray was appalled. There were slaves all over. They barely had any clothes on. One young lady had no clothes.

" GET THESE PEOPLE SOME CLOTHES," Ray shouted.

He was really upset. Then the queen came from the back of the palace with guards. That infuriated him. I have never seen him move so fast. He had her by the throat pinned against the wall. I quickly rushed over to him. I didn't want him to do something rash.

" Baby let her go." I pleaded.

" No I won't, she deserves the same fate as her mate," he stated.

" Put her in the dungeon." I pleaded.

" Fine, Caleb put her in the dungeon." he demanded.

" Yes your majesty," Caleb responded.

Caleb took her away. I knew that Ray was upset. I could feel it. I just wish I could read his mind. I haven't learned how to do that yet. We then went to where the bedrooms are. This palace was run down. The bedrooms looked horrible. I really did not wish to stay here. We went to the third door and, to my surprise, that room was really nice.

It had a king-sized bed with nice sheets and a comforter. There was a nice couch and some nice furniture. It was modern, like our room at our palace. We chose to stay in that room. Ray had ordered everyone that came with us to pitch tents outside. He then ordered everyone to meet him in the main hall.

I went with him. Everyone in the kingdom was in the main hall and there was not enough room for everyone. All the people in the former king's kingdom all looked horrible. Everyone was skinny and looked male nourished. I could feel Ray getting angrier and angrier by the minute. He did not take care of his people.

The former queen was in the dungeon. Ray ordered everyone to break off into groups of ten. This was going to be a very long day. Ray and I were sitting on the throne. When, all of a sudden, 7 people appeared with weapons. They had knifes, swords, and clubs. They were ready for a fight. From the appearance of these men, they were well cared for.

They started moving toward us. Ray got a smile on his face. I knew what was coming. I stood back. Within minutes, the fight was over. All but three men were alive. I could feel that some of Ray's rage was gone. He was still pissed. Caleb took the remaining men to the dungeon.

Ray got his phone out of his pocket and called his people. He wanted over a hundred warriors here by the morning. We decided that we would deal with everything tomorrow as it was pretty late. We went to the kitchen and met the cook. She was a jolly old lady. She was plump. Mike came in with us and started rummaging through the cabinets.

" These cabinets are pretty stocked, your majesty," he stated.

" Good is there enough ingredients to make a meal for everyone in the kingdom?" Ray asked.

" Yes your majesty," he replied.

The cooks then went to work making a meal for everyone. I helped serve everyone. We had set up a line of tables and gathered all the bowls and dishes in the kingdom. It was almost eight at night when we finally finished serving everyone. Some servants started washing the dishes. It was going to take them all night.

I finally headed to our room. I was about halfway to our room when I heard a girl crying. I stopped and looked into a room.

"I'm sorry your majesty," the girl said.

" Sorry for what?" I asked.

" This." she stated as she stabbed me in the stomach.

I grabbed my stomach and started to back away slowly. I was leaning against the wall when I felt someone pick me up and start carrying me. I thought I heard Rays Ray's voice. But I blacked out. The next thing I knew was that I was in a hospital. There were IVs in my arms. The stab wound must have been terrible for me to be there.

" My babies, are they OK?" I asked.

" Rest now, my love," Ray stated.

" Are my babies OK?" I asked again.

Why won't he answer me? What is going on? I was starting to panic. The heart rate machine was beeping faster and faster. Then I started to feel funny. That ment that I was injected with something to calm me. I fell back to sleep. It was hours later that I woke up again. Ray was sitting in a chair asleep. I struggled to sit up.

Ray sensed the movement and woke up with a start.

" Easy now, little mate," he stated.

" Are my babies OK?" I asked.

"Yes, they are fine, but you lost a lot of blood," he stated.

" The knife that stabbed you was made of silver," he stated.

That would explain why I was bleeding so much when the girl stabbed me. I'm just glad that my babies are OK. Why did she stab me? What happened to her? Ray had blood on his shirt, but was it mine or was it hers?

" What happened to the girl that stabbed me?" I asked.

"She's in the dungeon," he responded.

"What's going to happen to her?" I asked.

" She will be put to death," he stated.

" Ohh." was all I could say.

She was so young, maybe twelve or thirteen. Such a short life. Maybe I can talk to her and see why she did what she did. She was so young. She didnt deserve to die.

" Ray, let me talk to her before you kill her." I stated.

" Baby no." he responded.

" Yes, I'm going to talk to her." I stated.

" No you're not," he stated.

I just shut up after that. I was going to talk to her before she was put to death. A girl that age doesn't try and kill a queen unless she has something to lose. I started to pull the machines off of me and the IV out of my arm.

" What are you doing?" Ray asked.

" I'm going to talk to that girl whether you approve of it or not," I stated.
