I woke up when I heard the pups start crying. Sarah was not budging or acting like she was going to wake up. I must have worn her out, I chuckled to myself. I knew it was a combination of things, but I was pleasantly surprised that she slept so soundly after our first session in trust. I want her to trust me with her whole being. Which included her emotions, mental state, and body. She needed to know that, no matter what, I would never hurt her.

She has come so far in such a short time. But I wanted to push her a little. The faster that she trusts me with her whole being, the better. I have been patient, and I might want more than she was willing to give at this point, but if I did not think she was ready, I would not be doing what I was doing. She may feel that she is not prepared, but if my instincts are correct, then I will continue to push her gently.

She will never be ready for some things because of what has happened to her. I understand that she will always have nightmares, and I'm perfectly fine with that. But she has not had a nightmare in a while. I was expecting her to have nightmares after what we did, but she did not. Which I was delighted about. She snuggled up to me and fell asleep. The war is over, and I believe she will start eating again. If not, I would force her to eat. I'm going to see what today brings. I know that Mike has been cooking a lot of food for our warriors, guests, and everyone else. I need to hire someone to help him. I will address that issue with him today.

He is my chef. I take him everywhere I go, so there are always cooks around when we leave the kingdom, which I could not wait to get back to. I did miss mine and Sarah's little apartment. Also, there was much to do about setting up the pup's nursery when we got home. I commented that her stomach was growling, and she agreed with me. I then asked her how she was feeling after last night, and she was fine.
