The Lost Princess Of The Lycans Chapter 48: Preparations

Sarahs POV

I hope I didn't ruin his surprise. When we went back to bed, I had a hard time falling asleep. I knew we were going to get up early in the morning. We had a lot to do. The jeweler was coming in the morning to get my ring ordered. Ray told me last night that he was going to bring some with him. If I liked what was there, I could choose that one. I already knew I would like any ring. I have never had much jewelry.

I was going to get my ears pierced this morning as well. I wanted to be able to wear jewelry. Earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings. I couldn't wait. I was excited and nervous about all the things that were going to happen.

The next morning, we got up around six. The jeweler was going to be there at eight. I wanted to have eaten breakfast and be dressed. I choose to wear a pair of my new jeans. I liked how they hugged my hips. Ray loved them because they showed off my butt. Since I have got here I have put on some weight. I wasn't skin and bones anymore.

I was healthy finally. I was healing like i was supposed to. Yes, I was kidnapped and hurt, but things were getting better. We ate breakfast in the kitchen. The jeweler showed up at 7:45. He was early. He had an ear piercer gun and pierced my ears with white little diamonds. He then showed me catalogs of rings. He had some with him. I picked one of the rings that he had with him. It was a small diamond ring. It was size seven. It fit perfectly on my ring finger with a little wiggle room. The band was white gold.

I didn't like yellow gold. It seemed too noticeable. I then choose a necklace and bracelet set to go with it. Also, it came with earrings, but I wouldn't be able to wear those just yet. I had to let my ears heal. Which wouldn't take long. Then there were the jewels of the queen of the Lycans. I was shocked that there were actual jewels that the queens would wear. To formal events. All this was a lot to take in.

There were things that were expected of me that I had no idea about. I did not know that once a year we would go from kingdom to kingdom and mingle with the people there. I was learning as I went. I wish that Ray would have told me about all this. I wasn't prepared. Then came the royal tailor. Instead of going to the mall to get my clothes for these events, they would be making them. I was blown away.

Then came the florist. They wanted me to pick flowers. I had no idea which ones to pick. I choose tulips. I have always loved tulips. Next, the decorations for the ceremony. I chose the simple ones because I didn't want anything to be extravagant. At one point, I would have to shift and when that point came I chose some clothes that I wouldn't mind if they got destroyed. Because when we shift, our clothes get shredded.

For the first part of the ceremony, it would be like a normal wedding. Then, when it was time to be marked, he would tilt my head to the side and mark me in front of everyone. Then I would go change into clothes that I didn't mind getting shredded. Then I would shift. After that, I would carry him on my back and go around in a circle. Showing that if he got injured I would do my best to save him and get him to help.

Then, after that, I would shift back to human form. Then I would change into my party clothes. Ray and I would sit at a table and people would come pay their respect. Then we would have a great feast and then there would be dancing and mingling. After that, Ray and I would retire to our room.

Starting today, our rooms will be combined. We will be staying in the guest house. It is right next to the palace. We will stay there until the renovations are done. We will be having a few days away so we can have time alone. Because when we get back we are going to prepare for war.

Hopefully, after all the arrangements and things are done this evening, we can rest. Stacey helped me move my stuff over to the guest house. I didn't have time to look around and explore the guest house. I know from the kitchen window you could see the garden. There were several types of gardens on the place grounds.

The flower garden, the vegetable garden and the fruit garden. I was looking forward to enjoying time away from the palace. There was always noise coming from somewhere in the palace. I needed some peace and quiet. Every part of the palace had people in it. Whether it was guards or warriors or the staff. I wasn't used to so many people. Yes, I was a slave formerly. But the people I was around all the time I knew.

I knew what to expect most of the time, since every day was about the same. There was the occasional visitor from other kingdoms or clans. They would stay for a day or two, then leave, and if you were a slave that had been beaten, you were kept in the bunk house so they didn't see you.

But this was different. Everyone was here to see me. It was a ceremony for me and Ray. Cementing our love for each other. We got all the arrangements made and the food ordered. Tomorrow they will decorate and sit up. Then, the morning of the next day, the ceremony would begin. It will be an all-day event. Tomorrow I'm going to a nail salon and hair salon, so that way I look good for the first part of the ceremony and for after shifting.
