The Lost Princess Of The Lycans Chapter 187: Romantic Dip

King Rays POV

After discussing who had overthrown Donald, we decided to devise a game plan to take back his throne. He had been overthrown because he had been helping us more than he was there in his kingdom. It was our duty to help him. By helping him, we would assist the dragons because he would stop their attacks. We all agreed to meet in the great hall at nine in the morning. Caleb and I sent some warriors to help them to hold the witches at bay for now.

We knew that it would help. But mainly, the dragons would be using all their forces, and our warriors would help with the witches on the ground. They could set up a defense line. Then, they could prevent their castle from being invaded. Yes, witches could fly on broomsticks, but they get knocked down. After everyone left, it was Sarah and me. I was glad that it was just time for me and her. I also enjoyed watching her get jealous when that dragon kept staring at me.

That told me that she was one hundred percent in love with me. That she would fight for me, even if it were another female. I had not even staged that. The only other time that Sarah showed that much protectiveness and possessiveness was over the pups. It made me really happy that she was willing to fight over me. Some mates do not show that. They know that the mate bond will take care of any thoughts of cheating, but they will not fight over their mates.

I'm still getting used to having such a fantastic mate as Sarah. She has been through so much and continues to love and fight for what is hers. She was going to take that dragon outside and fight her. It would have been interesting to watch, but she would have killed that dragon. Then there would have been a war between us and them. I did not want that. I knew that Darren would punish the girl. I hope not too harshly, though. She did not look that old.

I knew the pups were in bed and asleep. I wanted to enjoy the hot tub with just Sarah.

" Baby girl, go get changed into your swimsuit," I stated.

She went and got changed. Her swimsuit was baby blue with an open back. She came out of the bathroom wearing a T-shirt over her suit.

" Baby, why are you wearing a shirt over your swimsuit?" I asked.

" I still have the scars on my back," she responded.

I walked over to her, slowly lifted her t-shirt over her head, and threw it aside. I then walked behind her and ran my fingers along her scars. I then kissed each one and then wrapped my arms around her.

" Yes, they are still there, but they are beautiful," I stated.

She started to cry. I knew her scars bothered her. But they don't bother me. They are beautiful. Everything about her is gorgeous: her body, mind, and soul. She is everything that I want in a mate. She is an excellent mother, a great mate, and a fantastic queen. The fates knew precisely what they were doing when they made her and matched us. I held her while she cried. She needed to cry those tears. I knew they were not sad tears but happy tears.

" Why are you so good to me?" she asked between sobs.

"My job is to love and care for you," I responded.

She finished sobbing, then we went to the hot tub. She did not put the T-shirt back on. I knew she was still a little uncomfortable about the scars. But I was not. I was ready to show her off. She had a beautiful body. I was proud that she was my mate. I had put towels out there earlier for this date. I brought her favorite drink out and set some snacks by the hot tub. I wanted to enjoy her company and did not want any interruptions. There was even a bathroom set up outside.

The moon was full, and the stars were bright. The hot tub was the right temperature. Everything was perfect. We got into the hot tub. I had Sarah sit on my lap. She looked up at the stars with a big smile. I then kissed her on the shoulder. She turned towards me and kissed me. Then she laid her head on my shoulder, and I held her. She looked up at the stars and enjoyed it.

" You know, when I was a captive here, I would watch the couples sit in this hot tub and wish for my true mate to find me and that we would be able to do this," she stated.

Well, her wish came true. I found her, and we were sitting in the hot tub she wanted to be in. She had a smile from ear to ear on her face. I was enjoying it just as much as she was. I loved feeling her body so close to mine. Whether we had clothes on or not, with all the chaos of everything up to this point, I have never gotten the chance to hold her. The first time I held her, she was hurt and unconscious. Then, the second time was awkward. Then, after that, I only got to hold her when we were traveling places or making love.

I enjoyed this a lot. Nothing was pressing that needed to be tended to until the morning. I was going to enjoy this time I had with her. She was enjoying it as well. I was so lost in enjoying holding her that I did not notice that she had fallen asleep. She was gently breathing. I chuckled to myself. I knew she felt one hundred safe with me. That she could let herself fall asleep while we were outside. A tent or a building didn't protect us. We were out in the night air.

I almost hate to wake her up. But I needed to get her inside and in a shower to wash the chemicals that kept the hot tub clean off her. It will dry out your skin if you do not shower after sitting in the hot tub.

" Baby, you need to wake up." I gently stated as I shook her a little bit.

" Sarah princess, wake up," I stated a little loudly.

She slowly sat up and shook the sleep from her head.

" I'm sorry, babe, for falling asleep," she stated.

When will she learn that she does not have to apologize for being a person? We all get tired and fall asleep. That still irritated me, as she always felt the need to apologize. But from what Doctor Bernard had told me, the mental would take a long time to heal. Physical things can recover faster than the emotional and the mental. I will continue to work on that. It will take some time. I would happily spend all my time in the world with her. She has improved so much, but there is still much to do. Depending on what the doctor says, tomorrow is whether she will continue her training.

I also don't know what her health is. She has put a lot of meat on her bones because she eats three times a day, sometimes more, but she did breastfeed the pups until recently. I need to know if she can go through another pregnancy and birth.
