The Lost Princess Of The Lycans Chapter 41: The Hard Decision

King Rays POV

Well, I guess I need to tell her about Bart. After checking messages in the office, I headed upstairs to her room. When I got to the door I could hear her and Stacey talking. I tried not to eavesdrop, but I wanted to know what they were talking about. I turned my super hearing. I could hear Stacey talking about Bart. That was all I wanted to hear, so I decided to go to the gym. I would hit the punching bag for a bit.

I heard the door to Sarah's room open. I stopped Stacey in the hallway.

" What did you tell her about your husband?" I asked,

" That he was a traitor and I did not support him and that I turned him in," she stated.

Everything she said was the truth. I could tell by the tears in her eyes that she was still saddened by what had happened. But so were I and Brittany. It was one of the hardest decisions I had to make. I was still angry about him using rogues to attack me. Some of them were still waiting for execution. I let her go. She didn't need me interrogating her any longer.

I went to my room and changed. I didn't take a shower. I decided to talk to Sarah in the office instead of her room. We still had other things to talk about as well. One of which was the meeting ceremony. I needed to invite her brother and several other people. I also needed to invite the king of all alphas, and I didn't know when he would be available. He's the king of all the lycans. I was just a king of this land.

I knocked on her door. She answered and tried to invite me in.

" Will you please meet me in my office," I asked her.

The look on her face told me she was confused. I really needed to talk to her about this. Because I didn't want secrets. I was nervous about this particular subject. I didn't want to lose her. As a king, we were forced to make tough decisions. Even if they were family members.

There was a light knock on the office door.

" Come in," I stated.

Sarah entered and sat down.

" You were asking about my brother Bart," I stated.

" I know he was your brother and that he was a traitor," she stated.

" Yes he was," I stated.

" Bart was my younger brother. He always wanted to be king. I truthfully didn't want that job nor responsibility. But I'm the oldest, so the duty fell to me when our father passed away due to a broken heart. My mother died from poisoning. So, for the longest time, it was just me and him. Until he found his mate, Stacey," I stated.

" We announced their mating ceremony and everyone, including the king of all the alphas, came to it," I stated.

" They were mated and for the longest time they were on me to find my mate," I stated.

" About a year ago there was a rogue attack. My brother had paid them to try and kill me so he could take over the kingdom," I stated.

" Stacey told me of the plans. We planned an ambush, and I was devastated when I found out that he was actually leading the rogue attack." I stated.

" Usually we have to kill the whole family but since Stacey fought on our side and did not support her husband she was spared as long as Rebecca," I stated.

I could see the sadness in her eyes.

" This topic is very difficult for me to talk about," I stated.

I could see the understanding in her eyes as well as the pain. She could feel my pain and I could feel her pain.

" Know that you know what happened. I hope you don't think any less of me," I stated.

She stood up and came and sat down on my lap. She pulled my head to her chest and held me. Her scent was comforting. Also, her embrace was tender and caring. I was enjoying this moment in time. She finally let go of me, and then she kissed me. That told me she understood what I had done. She may not accept it but she understood.

" I know you did what you had to do," she stated.

" You had no other choice," she stated.

She was definitely born to be a queen. She knew what had to be done.

" But I don't see why she wants to be a servant," she stated.

" It was not her fault that her husband wanted to overthrow you." she stated.

" With your permission, I would like her returned to the status of princess and given a house and a monthly allotment," she stated.

Wow, she is definitely a queen. To look past all that and want to care for them was amazing. She never stops amazing me. I will do this to please her. I will talk to Stacey in the morning. Right now, I want to enjoy her company. I kissed her and held her. She was sitting on my lap when the phone rang. I answered it.

It was the king of all alphas.

" Hello your majesty." I stated.

" Hello King Ray," he stated.

" I heard you found your mate. Is this true?" he asked.

" Yes," I replied.

" Very good then," he replied.

" I will be there in a few days," he stated.

He then hung up the phone. Which was unusual. Why would he be here so soon? I didn't even give him a date for the ceremony. Sarah and I haven't even decided on that yet. Something was off. I needed to figure this out. I didn't want any harm to come to anyone in my kingdom. Especially my Sarah. I mind-linked Caleb to come to my office.

" Will you excuse me," I asked Sarah.

"Yes babe." she replied.
