The Lost Princess Of The Lycans Chapter 53: The War Is Over

King Rays POV

She looked beautiful standing in the doorway of the palace greeting our guest. She was truly made to be a queen. The way the sun caressed her body. The light from the rays outlined her figure. The cream-color of her dress fits right in the proper places. It was a beautiful contrast to the sun. The sun's rays outlined her, making her look like an angel.

Her smile was so bright that even the grumpiest person would smile. She greeted everyone with warmth and appreciation. She was truly preforming well. My concern was when the ceremony started. How would she handle being marked? We already had a plan in place if she fainted or got sick.

The bouquet of flowers she chose was tulips. She had pink, white and yellow. The flowers looked amazing with her dress. I will have to get her the same dress after today because it is going to be stained with her blood. There was no getting past that. It was time for the ceremony to start. I took my spot waiting at the gazebo.

Usually, when people get marked by their mate, it wasn't this extravagant. They would come before the alpha or king and would mark their mate. But since this was a queen, things like this had to be done. Me personally, I would like to make love to her, then mark her. It would lessen the pain. Being a king sucks sometimes.

There was no music, just a simple drum roll. Everyone stood up and watched her walk down the aisle. She looked beautiful. Everything about her attire was almost magical. As she is walking up to me, I can not help to think how lucky I am. Her hair was up in a bun. The sun made it glisten. I don't know what she put in her hair, but it made it sparkle. She looked stunning.

The officiate goes into his speech about being life mates. I barely listen to him. I'm so focused on her. I did not notice it was my turn to answer the questions. She had to squeeze my hands to get my attention.

" Princess Sarah, do you take King Ray as your life mate?" he asked.

" I do." she stated.

" Do you, King Ray, take Princess Sarah as your life mate?" he asked.

" I do" I replied.

" You then may mark her your majesty," he said.

I then gently tilted her head to the left. I inhale her scent deeply. I wanted to have it ingrained into my soul. I start kissing the spot where I'm going to mark her. I licked and nipped at first, hoping to deaden the pain she was about to feel. I could tell she was getting turned on. I would have rather been doing this in private.

But as king, this is one thing that has to be done in front of everyone. She began to shake even before I bit down. I then elongate my teeth and bite down. I can taste her. She tastes so sweet like vanilla ice cream. I savor the moment for a minute longer than necessary. I then whispered in her ear.

" If you want, we can skip the next part of the ceremony,"

" No, I want to show everyone that I can be a strong queen and luna." she whispered back.

I was taken aback by what she said. I was proud of her for wanting to be a proper queen and Luna. She then goes and changes into the outfit she had chosen to get destroyed. She runs and leaps into the air and shifts into Karina. She comes back and I get on her back. I try to position myself where there's not too much weight on her. She goes around in the circle and comes back to the center.

I then shifted to Nash. Our wolves run to each other and officially meet. I can see that Karina's coat has gotten much healthier and her eyes much brighter. We then circle everyone and greet our subjects. Everyone was clapping and cheering. Then out of nowhere there were wolves everywhere. How dare they ruin our ceremony?

" We are under attack," Nash states.

" What do you mean we are under attack?" Karina asks.

" Get yourself to Brittany NOW." I ordered Karina.

I ordered Karina to go find Brittany. All my warriors appear. They have already shifted. I growled in a warning. The attack begins. I lounge at one and grab him by the throat and throw him down in the ground. I ripped out his throat. Then I turned and ran to another wolf that was attacking a guest who had shifted into their wolf form. I help him out.

I then look over and see that a wolf is trying to drag Sarah off. She has a chair and is trying to fight. I leaped over her and knocked the wolf down. I have him pinned, and I rip out his throat. I then lightly bit Sarah's wrist and pulled her towards the back entrance to the palace. She stops me.

"I want to help," she states.

I growled in disapproval. But she is not budging on this, so I relent and motion for her to stay put. I then rushed inside. I transformed into my human form and ran to the dungeon. I ran to the cell that had the king in it. I grab him and drag him out, so everyone can see that I am holding him hostage. Sarah, the king and I are in front of the gazebo.

" Stop your people now." I demanded.

" Never," he replied.

" Do it." I demanded again.

Finally he relents. He orders all his people to stop fighting.

" I invoke the right to one on one combat," I stated.

" Really" he states.

" Fine" he replied.

I could see fear flash in Sarah's eyes. My people already have their instructions on whether it appears I'm losing. I know Sarah will refuse to leave and Brittany has my permission to knock her out and get her out of danger. Everyone forms a circle, and we enter the middle of it. After a very short fight, the battle is over. Now what is left is to deal with everyone who attacked.
