The execution had begun without a hitch. My beautiful mate was still trying to find a way to save Leanne. I don't know why she wanted to do so, but the first couple of executions were textbook. Nobody had tried to rescue the ones that had been brought out. As they were brought out, some were just beheaded. Some were made to run through the gauntlet and then beheaded. When Leeann was brought out, there was a ruckus in the corner. When I looked up, I was pretty surprised that several members of the shadow clan had appeared.

What were they doing here? Caleb and I left the platform that our chairs were on. I quickly made my way over to Sarah and ordered her to get back on the platform. She was confused, as you could tell by the expression on her face. I had some of my warriors seize them. Then, one of them asked to speak to me. He was brought over to me so he could talk. Once again, Sarah took it upon herself to ask questions before I could ask. It irritated me a little, and I glared at her. I learned he was the alpha and was out hunting when he smelled a chocolate and strawberry scent, and his lycan yelled mate. Also, his name is Jeremiah.

He followed the scent to her and was shocked that his mate was in chains and was about to be executed. I was shocked that Leanne was mated to the Shadow Clan Alpha. She had never mentioned that she had a mate. I thought that this was a game to save her own life. But from what Jeremiah said, this was the first time he had seen her.

The Shadow Clan was a clan that we didn't deal with because they were classified as rogues. I knew they were in the kingdom, so I did not invite them to anything. Occasionally, we would contact them if we needed more warriors when going to war. But other than that, they were not members of the clan. They mainly stayed in the shadows and were used to frighten our enemies. If we ever needed it. So I was very shocked that they were here for the execution.

I had not kept track of their politics or who the current clan alpha was. But I could tell that Jeremiah was not lying as he was the biggest one in the group. So, it would make sense that he was the alpha of that particular clan. After learning that he was there for his mate, he would take Leanne peacefully or fight for her. I decided to offer Leanne the same deal as before: to be whipped, and she would not be beheaded. She was still crying, and she was still begging not to die.

I briefly discussed it with Caleb. He agreed that if she decided to be whipped, she could leave with him on the condition that she never return. I pulled Jeremiah to the side and gave him the same speech I had told Leanne.

" I know you will do anything to protect your mate," I stated.

" Even if I have to go to war with you right now to get her," he stated.

" That will be unnecessary, "I stated,

" She is sentenced to die, "I stated.

I then told him why she was sentenced to die. She said she had tried to kill Luna of the clan and attacked the Lycan queen. He was shocked by the announcement, but he also seemed to have a pleased look on his face.

"It's about time someone took over this clan that is not mean and sadistic," he stated.

That pleased Caleb immensely with his reaction to the news.

" Now, getting back to my mate, as you already know, I just found her, and she just found me. I do know it's a crime that she has committed. What do we have to do for her to be able to come with me? "he asked.

"Well, it's straightforward. She agrees to be whipped, and you don't try and stop it. I will put silver chains on you to ensure that you do not stop her punishment". I stated

" That will not be necessary. I will not break the chain, but I will watch," he stated.

" She will have ten lashes, and yes, they will leave a mark so that she will need medical attention. "I assume you have a doctor," I half asked, half stated.

" Yes, I do. Very well, then you need to explain this to her."

" My queen will be quite pleased at this decision," I stated.

" She has been trying to save this girl," I stated.

We put the chains on him, but Sarah was perplexed, and then I guess it dawned on her that he would allow this to happen to his mate to protect her. After putting the chains on Jeremiah, I had the guard bring Leanne over to him. They talked for a moment. Then Leanne accepted that he was her mate. They both had huge smiles on their faces. Which I was delighted about. She sadly agreed to the terms that had been negotiated for her to live. She knew she was going to be in pain, but this was a way to save her life. She was so strong enough that it would not kill her. She was sentenced to ten lashes. I knew they would hurt as I knew who wielded the whip.

Sarah had excused herself and returned to the building where the trials had occurred. I knew she knew exactly how it would feel to be whipped. I knew she did not want to watch, which did not bother me after ten lashes. Leanne was quickly released. So was her mate. He ran to her side, picked her up, and carried her off. Ezekiel was brought up next. I needed time to gain my composure and to check on Sarah. He was taken back to jail, and I went and talked to Sarah after a conversation with her about how I did not understand how she wanted to save her. We went to the house.

We then returned, and I announced that we were breaking for lunch. We went back to the house, and Mike prepared lunch. He made sandwiches, and I had Sarah sit on my lap again. That is where she always belongs. I enjoyed having her in my lap. We ate our lunch in comfortable silence. After eating our lunch, Caleb went to check on Chrissy. She was lying in the guest room of the house. We were sitting on the couch in the living room when Caleb screamed. Sarah and Ray come quickly. We quickly ran into the room.

When we got to the room, Chrissy was in labor. Her water broke. She was lying on the bed. You could tell she was uncomfortable. The contractions were five minutes apart. Caleb carefully helped her get up and get to the car to take her to the hospital. Today was a very special day. Two miracles happened today. Leanne was saved, and Chrissy brought a new life into the world.
