The Lost Princess Of The Lycans Chapter 178: Final Decision

King Rays POV

I was shocked when Sarah jumped off the stage to talk to Leanne. I knew she was going to beg her to take a whipping instead of being put to death. I had not yet been able to speak to Caleb about what Sarah had brought up. I was going to have Leann choose between being put to death or being whipped. Sarah took it upon herself to speak with her. That was good because it came from Sarah, whom she had tormented for years.

Which showed that Sarah wanted to show her mercy. That was not just coming from me and Caleb. We could hear the conversation. It was not going very well. Leann was being rude and said things to Sarah. And then, in less than a second, Leanne attacked Sarah. She kicked her in the stomach and knocked her to the ground. I thought she had been seriously injured. Sarah then rolled to the side and got Leanne off her. She kicked her in the stomach several times, then backed up. Sarah then started to position her hands to fire a fireball at her.

I then stepped in between Sarah as quickly as lightning. She yelled at me to get out of the way, which I refused. I told her this is not how we handle things. Then Leeann said she should've killed her when she had a chance. That was a significant mistake on Leanne's part. I grabbed Sarah and held her back. Now, there was no trying to redeem her. She tried to kill Chrissy, but she also attacked Sarah. As king of the Alphas, I would not let Leanne choose anymore. I would be merciful, but Leanne had learned nothing from jail.

Sarah was distraught as the weather changed from a sunny day to gray clouds and thunder. Sarah's rage towards Leanne was so intense that the thunder shook the building. I had to get Sarah calmed down as quickly as I could before Sarah caused a strong storm that could destroy the village. I got Sarah back up on stage and in her rocking chair as fast as possible. She started rocking, and the weather began to calm down. Then Caleb asked if anyone had anything to say about the accused. Sarah said no, she did not. She was then sentenced to death, and she started to beg for mercy.

Did she think we were only joking and were doing this to scare her? Everyone knew the law regarding trying to kill the Luna of the clan. Then, it was Ezekiel's turn to be judged. Before anything could be said, Sarah jumped up and had Caleb and me go to the back of the stage. She said he could fight all three of us, but Sarah was in no condition to fight anyone after her fight with Leanne. There was no way I was going to allow her to do that. He was given his sentence, which was to fight me and Caleb and then be quartered and then to be beheaded.

If he survived long enough to be beheaded, I would be shocked. We took a break from the trials. There were still some prisoners that needed to be sentenced—they were petty crimes such as stealing and being drunk in public. We then went to the house to have lunch. Mike, the cook, had already prepared lunch. Chrissy sat by Caleb, and he was holding her hand. I then made a plate for me and Sarah. I did that intentionally because I would have Sarah sit in my lap while we ate. I just needed her to be close. After Sarah had finished, she went to the pups' room.

" Sarah has gotten better and stronger since she has been with you," Caleb said.

" I know; tell me about it," I stated,

" She gets stronger and stronger every day," I stated.

" I cannot believe that she wants to try and fight Ezekiel in her weekend state," Caleb stated.

" Neither can I," I responded.

We finished our lunch, but Chrissy was not feeling very well. She went to lie down.

" How much longer does she have before she gives birth," I asked.

"According to the clan doctor, any day now," he stated,

" I was kind of shocked that you had her attend the trials in her condition," I responded.

" She wanted to," Caleb responded.

" She wanted to show that she supported me in my decision regarding the clan members," he stated.

Given that her father was the previous Alpha, I could understand that. It was good that she wanted to show that she supported him. A good Luna could make or break a clan. I've seen it many, many times when the Alpha and Luna could not get along with each other, and it destroyed the clan. I did not want that for Caleb's clan. After lunch, when Sarah came to us, Caleb and I were sitting in the living room.

" Is there any way to save Leanne," she asked.

" Sarah, I know you are the queen of the Lycans. There is no way to save her. Now she has made her choice." Caleb responded to her.

" Are you a hundred percent certain?" she asked.

" Yes, I'm not trying to override you or undermine you in front of people, but there's got to be something that we can do," She stated.

" I will speak with Chrissy and see what she has to say on the matter," Caleb said.

" Yes, that would be good," I responded.

He then left the room, and it was just me and Sarah.

" Sarah, baby. Why is it so important that you save Leanne?" I asked.

" It's not as important to me to save Leanne but to show mercy," she responded.

" Again, honey. Why is it so important that you show her mercy?" I asked again.

" Because she tormented me all the years that I was here, and she got me whipped more times than I care to count. As you know, this is Caleb's clan, so the ultimate decision is his," she stated.

" Yes, I understand that," she responded.

I then got up to find Caleb. There was still so much to do here, and I didn't have enough time to accomplish anything. Sarah still has not talked to the orphans to find out what clan they came from. Tomorrow, people from other clans are going to be here. Hopefully, some of these children were theirs. The children that had not been reunited with their parents were still in the orphanage, the new one that had been built with much nicer accommodations, and then Caleb and I still had executions to carry out that evening.

Caleb came out of the guest room.

" Chrissy said no. She wants her put to death," he stated.

" I understand," Sarah stated.

Sarah sat down on the couch and looked defeated. Females who were sentenced to death were beheaded. Then, their bodies were burned. Because we did not want their bodies defiled, they were also kept in a different part of the jail so they did not get raped by other prisoners and guards. The guards were females who looked after female prisoners. Caleb and I decided it was time to get the executions over with. We informed the girls that it was time. Chrissy chose to return to her house, and Sarah went with us to the executions.
