The Lost Princess Of The Lycans Chapter 162: Where's Sarah
King Ray POV
I took a final walk around the clan borders to check on things. Brittany had done a fantastic job securing the borders. I then checked her training school and the training grounds. Things were going well. I then checked on all the repairs and ensured that Brittany's name was on the bank papers. She was going to have to come up with a way to earn money as well. I knew she would have great ideas about that.
I then walked back to the house. It was bitter-sweet to be leaving here. Brittany came with us, and now I was leaving her behind. My heart was breaking because it felt like I was losing my sister. But that was not the case. She is an alpha now. I would see her again. It was not like she died or anything. We grew up together, and we spent a lot of our time together as well. But now it was her time to shine.
When I got to the house, I slowly walked up the stairs. I stopped at the door and refused to open it. I was not ready to say goodbye to her. I sat down on the stairs and thought about our time growing up. There were so many fond memories that I started crying. It had started raining. I knew that it was because of Sarah's powers. She was sad. Brittany was her first friend after we rescued her. I will have to get myself together to be there for her.
I knew she would be there for me as well. The pups are too young to understand what is going on. We will be leaving here soon. Brittany already had a cleaning crew ready to go when we left. They would box up everything we had here and send it to the palace. I was prepared to finish this visit and return to the palace. Also, I had business to tend to there.
I finally regained my composure and opened the front door. I saw Brittany and Sarah in the living room, fighting back tears. I walked over to Brittany and hugged her. When I let go of her, tears were in my eyes. I knew Sarah had noticed them. Her mate Randy was by her side rubbing her back, trying his best to comfort her. She and Sarah exchanged some sweet words. I said my final goodbyes and gave her my last-minute instructions and wisdom.
We then went to the van and headed out. Sarah had positioned herself where she could lay her head against me and take a nap. We were halfway into our trip when we were attacked. The van hit us in front of us and then drugged out of the car. Within minutes, we were surrounded by our warriors. We started fighting. These glycans looked like they were rogues. There were also witches fighting with them. I looked over to where Sarah was. I had noticed she had passed out, which made my anger grow.
She was hurt, and that did not please me. But it was because the van had flipped over. I continued to fight with the rogues. Finally, they quit attacking. When I looked over to where Sarah was, she was not there. Where did she go? I let out a loud growl, and everyone around me became instantly quiet.
" Where is the queen?" I asked.
" Has anyone seen the queen?" I asked again.
To my horror, nobody knew where she was. Caleb was looking for her in the woods, thinking she may have woken up and gone to the woods to hide. The nannies still had the pups, but they were in a different vehicle. But where was Sarah? I could feel the panic creeping up in me. I started frantically going from van to van, looking for her. Then, a breeze blew her scent into my nose. It was faint. She had been taken.
I immediately ran in the direction where I saw the rogue's runoff. But it was no use because they were long gone now. We quickly returned to the vehicles and went straight to the White River Clan. After arriving at the clan, Caleb and I entered his office.
" We need to find Sarah," I stated.
" Yes, Your Majesty," Caleb responded.
" Where do we start looking," he asked.
" In the direction the rogues went," I responded.
We then discussed a plan to send a hundred warriors in each direction. Everyone had their cell phones, and they had to call immediately if there was any word. I went with the ground that went in the direction her scent was lingering. It was getting fainter by the minute.
" Where is mate?" Nash spoke up.
" Must find our mate," he said again.
" We are looking for her," I responded.
Nash was panicking just like I was. Her scent was growing fainter by the minute. We finally came to a thicket and lost her scent. I let out an anguished cry. I shifted to Nash and started sniffing around, searching for her scent. It was very faint. But it led to a waterfall and then just disappeared. Nash let out an anguished howl, and everyone around cowered down and started to back up. I then shifted back to human form. I was not going to go anywhere. I would find her if that was the last thing I ever did.
I was naked. Someone handed me some clothes, and I got dressed. I then built a fire. When someone came near me, I would growl at them, and they would back off. Caleb finally showed up and had no news of where she was. I heard a rustling behind me, and it was Sheba. She shifted back to human form. She tried to approach me, and again, I growled at her. This time, I swung at her. She dodged it and then backed up. Again someone brought Brittany some clothes and she then got dressed.
Caleb sat on a rock by the water and stared at me. I sat on the cold ground for a long time. I was frozen. I could not move or think. I wanted to find my mate. The sun was rising, and I was staring at the rock he had been sitting on. Brittany was there, and so was Caleb. I had motioned for them to leave, but they did not. I was not going to get into an argument with them. Brittany had started a fire. I was cold, but I did not care.
Caleb had caught some fish and was cooking it. I was not hungry. I was not going to eat again until I found Sarah. Tears started to run down my cheeks. What if she's dead? Surely not, because I would have felt the mate bond cut. That told me she was alive. What if that monster had her? Whatever his name is. I will call Donald and have him come here. I have some questions for him about that monster. I was going to get any information I could get to save Sarah.
I continued to sit where I was and had Caleb give me his phone. Since mine got destroyed in the fight we had earlier with the rogues. I called Donald and told him to come here at once.
" Caleb, get me a map," I demanded.
