The Lost Princess Of The Lycans Chapter 44: What Is Going On

King Rays POV

Sarah left my office. I couldn't make out her reaction. She was wuiet. I thought she was upset at the fact that I had put my own brother to death. I was in my office going over the plans for the mating ceremony when there was a pain in my chest.

" It's our mate," Nash states.

" What do you mean?" I asked.

" She has left," Nash states.

" What do you mean she left?" I asked.

" She left," Nash stated.

I was in shock that she would leave. She didn't seem distressed when she left my office. So why would she leave? I took the stairs from the back-up to my floor. I looked in her room, my room, the library and the kitchen. Nash was screaming in my head.

" Must find our mate," he stated.

" What have you done?" he asked.

I didn't do anything, I think. I ran into the office to grab the maps of the area. She's around here. She couldnt have gotten far. I mind-link Caleb Brittany and Mike. They are my strongest trackers. We raced out of the front door. We shift into our wolves. Nash stuck his nose up in the air. He picks up her scent. We follow it, we get to a tree and there's a puddle of her blood. She is injured.

That girl gets hurt more than I have ever in my life. If we find her, I'm going to give her a piece of my mind. We followed her scent to an abandoned building. We stopped just inside the tree line. I can see the king of the alpha's car. What is he doing here? Why does he have my mate? We crept closer. I can hear them interrogating her.

We all get up on our hind legs and look into rhe window. She is tied to a chair.

" What are we waiting for?" Nash asked.

" We are making sure there are only four of them," I stated.

" We need to get her out of there," Ranger states.

"I agree." I state.

" On my count." Nash says.

Just as we were about to bust in, the king of alpha's stabbed her in the leg. She cried out in pain. She then closes her eyes and when she opens them they are a deep emerald. What the hell? Why are her eyes that color? She is trying to shift. But with the knife in her leg she cannot. I could not believe what I was seeing. We all know the legend of the Wolf witch. But nobody knew it was true.

I will deal with that later. Right now I am going to save Sarah. I ram the door, and it flies across the room. We ran in. I knocked the king down. He was surprised. He probably thought that I wouldn't find them for a while. Brittany's wolf has a man pinned to the floor. Ranger has another man pinned against the wall. The other two have the other man held at bay.

" I want to interrogate everyone," I stated.

I quickly shift back into human form. I could see that Sarah needed medical attention. She is injured and passed out. I quickly ran out of the building and ran straight to the hospital. Dr. Bernard is waiting for us. I mind-linked him on the way. He quickly takes her and goes into a room. After an hour, he came out.

" She has lost a lot of blood," he stated.

" But luckily she was in the process of healing," he stated.

" She has a nasty bump on the head and an obvious injury, a knife mark on her leg," he stated.

" She will be fine in a couple of hours," he stated.

I thanked the doctor and headed to the waiting room. Brittany mind-linked me.

"The prisoners are in the dungeon," she stated.

" Good" I respond.

" What about the king? If we hold him there will be a war?" she stated.

" I know." I respond.

I wanted to talk to Sarah and find out why she ran away. What was bothering her she couldn't tell me. I was running through everything in my head. When the nurse came out she informed me that she was waking up. I went into her room. Brittany was already in the room with her. Brittany and I started talking. My voice was raised. I know she can tell I'm upset.

" If you want to leave, I won't stop you, but I'm not going to reject you," I stated.

" We have everyone in the dungeon," I stated.

" Ray, I didn't run away because I didn't want to be here." she stated.

" I ran away because of the head king," she stated.

Why would she run away because of him? Was she scared of him? What is going on? I really need to get to the bottom of this.

"There are things that you don't know that I need to tell you," she stated.

" Ohh." I stated.

If he hurt her before she came here, then there would be hell to pay. He was the king. It was his job to protect his subjects.

" Yes," she stated.

" But I don't want to do it here," she stated.

"That's fine, we will do it at the palace," I stated.

" I would like all your head people there when I tell you," she stated.

" Why?" he asked.

"Because then everyone will know and all of you can decide what to do," I stated.

The nurse came in with her discharge papers. I grabbed the duffle bag that was found in the woods. It was the one I gave her when she first came home from the hospital. I reached in and pulled out some undergarments for her. Then I pulled out something I didn't expect. She had taken the picture off my wall in the library. That told me that she still loved me.

I helped her get dressed. After she got dressed and was ready to go, I picked her up. There was no way that I was going to let her go. We were headed to the palace when there was a white light. The van shut off by itself.

" Caleb, what's going on?" Ray asked.

" I don't know, but there is a woman standing in front of the van," Caleb stated.

I got out of the van and approached the woman.

" Can I help you?" I asked.

" My name is Izzy your majesty," the woman stated.

" I need to tell you something about your bride." she stated.

" There are alot of things about my bride that I need answers to. Will you come with us to my palace?" I asked.

I go back to the van.

" She is going to come with us," I stated.

" Ok" she state.

To all our surprise, a wolf comes out of the forest, and she climbs on top of it. We reach the palace and Zack greets us.

"Sir, will you please shift," Ray asked.

The wolf does as requested. I looked at Sarah and I could tell she recognized him.

" Sarah, do you know him?" I asked.

" Yes," she replied.

We all went to the room at the end of the hall on the main floor.

" Sarah, what is it that you needed us all here to say?" I asked.

She then explained she knew them and had helped the witch. Izzy then explained what happened that night. What did she mean, the Wolf witch? I have heard of hybrids, put not the legend. She then explains that it only happens every million years or so that a witch can cast a protection spell on a wolf and that spell merges with their dna. It doesn't happen very often.

Sarah then explains why she ran away.
