The Inescapable Celibate Heir Chapter 13: Ella Reaps What She Sows

6 min 113.9K views

Ella put on her best puppy-dog eyes and begged, grabbing a cup of coffee from the table. "Please, have some coffee!"

The stage manager reached out and took it. "Alright, since you're being so nice about it, I'll give you five minutes."

Ella went back to Victoria and noticed the coffee on her table had already been sipped. She felt a wave of relief.

Ella thought, 'So what if the program is the same? Victoria can't perform anyway. But first, I need to handle the stage manager.'

She smiled sweetly. "Victoria, can we switch the order of our performances? I'm a bit nervous and want to go first."

Victoria raised an eyebrow. "Why should I?"

"Come on, our parents raised you for so many years, and I haven't really gotten much out of it. Just let me have this one," Ella said.

Seeing Ella's fake pitiful act, Victoria felt disgusted. "Fine, whatever."

"Victoria, you're the best!" Ella happily picked up her coffee and took a big gulp.

Something felt off. She thought, 'Why does it taste sweeter? Is it because I'm in such a good mood that even the coffee tastes better?'

She happily pulled the stage manager aside and whispered, "Victoria agreed to switch songs. She'll perform later, so there's plenty of time."

The last part was said louder for everyone to hear.

The stage manager gave Victoria a questioning look from afar, asking, "You cool with this?"

"Yeah." Victoria nodded.

It didn't matter to her whether she performed first or later.

Soon, the event kicked off. Some girls were chatting excitedly.

"Do you know? The speaker now, Dennis, is our student council president!"

"Of course, we know. He's tall, handsome, and super chill. Plus, the Gonzalez family is all about academics!"

"He's the perfect dream guy. Only someone as rich and beautiful as Ella could catch his eye!"

"No way, I don't even know him." Ella smiled.

She hadn't met him before, but she knew all about him.

She came to Nexus College to make connections, and the most important one was Dennis, the future best actor and a big name in the entertainment industry.

In Ella's previous life, Victoria clung to Dennis and had a smooth path in the entertainment industry!

In school, he was the student council president and could provide many perks. After becoming the best actor, he stayed clean and devoted to Victoria, giving her resources to rise. Now, all of these would belong to her, Ella!

Looking at the clueless Victoria, Ella smiled smugly.

Ella thought, 'Your song, your best actor boyfriend, they'll be all mine. Heaven's on my side! What's the point of knowing the score? You won't even get to perform, you fool.'

Soon, it was Ella's turn to go on stage, but she felt a slight pain in her lower abdomen.

"Next, let's welcome Ella from Performing Arts Class 2 to bring us a romantic Moonlight Sonata!" There was a buzz in the front, and Ella thought it was the audience excited for her performance. She ignored the discomfort in her stomach and stepped onto the stage.

She was thinking, 'No problem, it's just a few minutes. Maybe I drank too much iced coffee. I just need to pose. I can do it!'

Ella put on a perfect smile, wanting to leave a stunning impression on the audience.

But hardly anyone was looking at her, and no one seemed to care about her fancy dress.

Turned out, the Charming Four from the computer science department had just walked in, and the students were buzzing with excitement.

"Wow, it's the Charming Four! What are they doing here?"

"Yeah, they usually skip these events."

"Maybe Eric's got a new crush?"

"When will Eric change his taste and notice me, the ugly duckling?"

"Keep dreaming!"

Ella was momentarily taken aback, but then she thought, 'The more people appreciate my piano skills, the better. Watch me mesmerize you all!'

Ella sat on the piano bench, struck a pose, and hit the start recording button. Ethereal piano notes began to flow out.

The previously noisy hall fell silent.

Sitting in the front row, the famous director John nodded in satisfaction. "Mr. Cook, your freshmen this year are quite promising."

Nexus College's president, Ralph Cook, smiled proudly. "You're too kind, Mr. Moore. If they meet your standards, please consider our students."

Sitting in the second row, Dennis also looked at Ella seriously. Not bad, Ella, though a bit petty, might be inexperienced on stage and a bit stiff.

But the piano notes were natural and ethereal, with a rare pure and beautiful quality.

Ella had been watching Dennis and felt proud when she saw him notice her.

But her stomach suddenly twisted in pain.

A sudden noise interrupted the smooth melody as Ella accidentally pressed a key too hard.

The audience, immersed in the music, was startled.

John frowned and thought, 'What happened? A mistake? She is still young and lacks a solid foundation.'

Some music professionals noticed her fingering issues. "What's going on? She clearly pressed the wrong key, yet the correct note still sounded. Did I see it wrong?"

Uncertain, they decided to take a closer look. "What's happening? Her fingering is completely off!"

Ella's stomach pain intensified. She thought she could endure a few minutes for the song.

But the strong laxative wouldn't let her delay!

A soft fart echoed around, but to Ella, it sounded like thunder!

She thought, 'No way! I can't soil myself on stage! I'm wearing a white dress!'

She suddenly stood up and rushed off the stage, running to the restroom.

Everyone was shocked to see her running in her big dress, not caring about her image, even losing a shoe.

The audience was in an uproar.

"Why didn't the music stop?"

"Who's playing?"

The host quickly went on stage to remedy the situation and turned off the music. "Maybe Ella had an emergency. Let's enjoy the next performance..."

John said with a stern face, "Mr. Cook, you should pay more attention to the students' conduct."

Ralph wiped the sweat off his forehead. "She's a freshman. Our school does not support such deceit."

The audience was buzzing.

"What's going on? Was she pretending to play?"

"I knew it, she's not from the music department. How could a freshman play so well!"

"Don't say that, Ella isn't like that. Maybe she used her recording to avoid mistakes?" Some overly obsessed fans defended her.

"Her name is Ella, right? Your performing arts department is a disgrace!"

"You!"

"Did she run off stage because she couldn't hold it in?"

"Yeah, if not for that, we would have been fooled. Some guys in our class even said she's their new dream girl!"
