The Inescapable Celibate Heir Chapter 97: Everyone from the Snooker Club Has Arrived

Dennis's voice was calm and steady, "What's everyone doing here?"

The dance club members started talking over each other, complaining to him.

From their fragmented words, he pieced together the situation. Seeing the red mark on Ella's face, he frowned, "Everyone, quiet down. I'll handle this fairly. Ella, is what they said true?"

Ella covered her face, her eyes brimming with tears as she looked at him, feeling wronged, "Dennis, I think Victoria might have misunderstood me, which is why she treated me so rudely. But I really didn't mean any harm."

Dennis turned to Victoria, "Victoria, what's your side of the story?"

Victoria raised an eyebrow at him, her gaze mocking, "Dennis, are you putting me on trial? I was just fishing peacefully, and they came over making a racket, scaring away my fish."

Mira, equally upset, chimed in, "Victoria didn't do it on purpose. They insisted on taking our spot! It's our first time fishing too, how could we control our rods so precisely?"

Dennis nodded, "I see." He then turned to Ella and her group, "It seems like an accident. But what about taking their spot? Do you admit to that?"

Jasmine glared at Victoria, defiant, "Dennis! You can't just take their word for it! I think Victoria did it on purpose. You can't be biased! And about the spot, if we're all here for a fishing competition, it should be fair. We can't let some people hog the best spots. We should take turns!"

"Yeah, why should she get the best spot? She's being too domineering!" the other dance club members echoed.

Elise threw down her fishing rod and retorted loudly, "What do you mean by best spot? There are more fish here because Victoria lured them. You guys don't know how to fish and just want to steal the fish we attracted. That's robbery!"

Vivian laughed sarcastically, "If you know how to lure fish, then you can catch plenty in another spot. It shouldn't matter if you give this spot to us. We're all schoolmates, don't be so stingy."

Dennis looked at Jasmine and then at Victoria, thinking for a moment before saying, "Both sides have valid points. There's no rule against changing spots."

He paused, then continued, "But since this is a charity event, let's not argue. The earlier incident shows that being too close can be dangerous. So, you can fish around Victoria's group, but don't get too close to avoid accidents."

Jasmine was still unhappy, pouting and muttering, "Why not just make them leave? And she should apologize to Ella."

She was about to ask Dennis when a commotion at the entrance revealed Ethan and his group arriving.

Ethan immediately spotted Victoria in the crowd and walked straight over, with Eric and the rest of the snooker club following.

The group of tall, imposing guys made quite an entrance. Ethan ignored everyone else, looking only at Victoria, "Did they mess with you?"

Victoria pouted, "They tried, but they didn't get far."

Seeing Eric, Lily also approached, and the dance club members looked to her for help.

Lily glanced at the tearful Ella and said firmly, "My people aren't pushovers either, Ethan. Don't think I'm scared of you!"

Ethan gave her a cold look and ignored her.

Eric smiled, "Aren't we here to fish? Why is everyone gathered here? Are we planning a brawl? It's not right for us guys to bully the girls."

Seeing the snooker club's numbers, Ella moved behind Lily, tugging on her sleeve and whispering, "Lily, I'm fine. Let's just fish. Don't let this delay things."

Lily gave her a gentle look, "You're so understanding, unlike some people."

She shot a pointed look at Victoria before turning to Eric, "Let's have a proper competition in fishing, then."

Eric shrugged, "I won't go easy just because you're girls. After all, I'm here to help the girls from our club."

He meant Elise, but Lily thought he was referring to Victoria. Eric had always been chivalrous, often tolerating Lily's antics.

But things changed with Victoria around. This realization made Lily glare at Victoria before walking away.

Victoria, confused by the glare, was speechless.

So, the two groups started fishing side by side.

The dance club members were more focused than before, even getting remote guidance from a fishing influencer, and managed to catch a few fish.

But the snooker club had more experienced fishers, catching significantly more and larger fish.

The dance club members grew anxious. They had thought it would be easy to win against just Victoria and her friends.

But with the sudden influx of snooker club members, they were falling behind!

They decided to send a few members to disrupt Victoria's group. Whenever someone was about to catch a fish, they would shout loudly or throw things into the water, scaring the fish away.

The first time could be seen as an accident, but after the third time, Elise realized they were doing it on purpose.

She threw down her rod, having little patience for fishing anyway, and led some snooker club guys to disrupt the dance club, ensuring they couldn't catch any fish.

Lily, furious after losing a fish, called the student council to demand points be deducted from Elise.

Although Elise's family wasn't as wealthy as the Martin family, she wasn't afraid. She argued confidently, and the girls from the dance club also retorted sharply.

Dennis, overwhelmed by their bickering, finally decided to draw a boundary between the two clubs, prohibiting either side from crossing it to completely avoid further interference.
