The Inescapable Celibate Heir Chapter 202: Sports Cars
Maggie watched the footage on the security monitor, her lips trembling as she pointed at Paul. "Seriously, Paul? Do you still have feelings for her?"
Paul grabbed her hand, tears in his eyes. "No, Maggie. I was drunk and thought she was you. If I hadn't mixed her up with you, I wouldn't have touched her. Please, believe me!"
Sophie scoffed, "Maggie is half a head shorter than Willow. How could you mix them up? Are you losing it at twenty-something, Paul?"
Even Victoria couldn't help but laugh.
Feeling utterly humiliated, Maggie slapped Paul and ran off in tears.
Both sides of Paul's face were now swollen and red, making him look particularly ridiculous. Everyone around him pointed and whispered, their eyes full of disdain and contempt.
Willow sneered, "Paul, your excuses change every minute. You're so good at making up stories, save it for the cops! I've already called them. You've harassed me and tried to ruin my reputation with lies. We have witnesses and evidence. I'm definitely pressing charges!"
Paul begged for mercy, but Willow ignored him completely. He then turned to Dena, "For the sake of me being Maggie's boyfriend, could you please help persuade Willow? You're a respected figure in the dance community. If this gets out, it won't look good for you either."
Dena shook off Paul's hand coldly, "You hurt my daughter's feelings. I won't let her be with you anymore."
Paul was not only lecherous and unfaithful but also foolish. He could never make Willow happy.
Maggie's birthday party couldn't continue, and her guests soon left.
Willow and Sophie stayed at the hotel to celebrate, and Gerald joined them for a drink, even gifting Willow a new dress as an apology.
Willow raised her glass to toast him, "Thank you, Mr. Nguyen. Without you, we wouldn't have seen the security footage so smoothly."
Gerald took a sip of champagne and said calmly, "It was our hotel's fault for not taking care of our guests properly. I hope you can forgive us. Let me cover tonight's party expenses."
Sophie and Victoria exchanged a glance, both eyes full of gossip: it seemed Gerald had a crush on Willow.
Sophie smiled, "Mr. Nguyen, you're too generous!"
Willow politely declined, "No need, Mr. Nguyen. You've already compensated me with the dress. The fault lies with Paul, not you. You shouldn't have to spend so much."
After some back-and-forth, Willow agreed to a 30% discount on tonight's expenses, which was a reasonable compromise.
Victoria remembered she needed to call Nick back. "Nick, there was a bit of an incident earlier. I was going to ask for your help, but it's already resolved."
Nick replied, "Looks like we missed the action. We're heading to the Grand Hotel now, hoping to catch some excitement."
Victoria asked, "You guys? Are the four of you hanging out again?"
Nick said, "Yeah, we were at Dreamlandia. When I saw your call, even Ethan was eager to see the drama."
It was getting late, so Victoria said goodbye to Willow and Sophie and left the hotel.
As she reached the curb, a silver Rolls-Royce Phantom screeched to a halt beside her, followed by red, dark purple, and light blue sports cars, each worth at least a million dollars.
Victoria paused her attempt to call her driver; she recognized the person in the first car—it was Ethan.
He usually drove understated cars, and this was the first time she saw him in a convertible, which surprised her.
It turned out that Ethan also had moments of youthful exuberance and enjoyed flashy, exciting sports cars.
However, Nick's bright red sports car was the most attention-grabbing.
Ethan leaned on the car door and asked, "Is the party over? Are you heading back?"
Victoria nodded, "Yeah, I was planning to go back and play some games with you guys. The tournament is starting soon."
Nick took off his exaggerated sunglasses and waved at Victoria, "Victoria, want to take a spin with us?"
Eric added, "Aren't you tired of gaming every day? Just relax for once."
Victoria thought for a moment and said, "Sure. But where are you taking me? The city has speed limits. Ethan can't end up on the news for breaking the law."
Ethan's family was strict, and he held himself to high standards, never leading others into trouble.
"Autumn Mountain!" Nick shouted.
Autumn Mountain was an undeveloped area in Sunhaven, known for its winding roads and steep slopes, a haven for car enthusiasts.
Victoria had heard of it but never been there. In her previous life, she couldn't even afford a car, let alone go racing.
She learned about it while working as a stunt double, when the special effects director mentioned it during a car chase scene filmed with green screens.
He had said, "If we could shoot this at Autumn Mountain, it would be amazing, but it's too dangerous and the budget doesn't allow it."
Victoria was intrigued and smiled, nodding as she walked towards Nick's car.
But Nick turned the wheel and drove off, "Victoria, ride with Ethan. He's the safest driver."
"Don't worry, just get in," Ethan said with a faint smile, pressing a button that slowly opened the passenger door like wings.
Victoria had no choice but to return to Ethan's car and sit in the passenger seat.
