The Inescapable Celibate Heir Chapter 150: Seeking Help

At this moment, Samuel's yacht was much closer to Jasmine than the shore.

Jasmine suddenly realized this was a great opportunity. She started laughing, even out loud.

The driver, who was starting the speedboat, saw her not making the call but instead laughing. He shivered in fear—what on earth was this woman up to?

Jasmine's mood brightened instantly. She laughed and said to him, "Hey, why are we heading to the shore? Turn around and head towards that big yacht. We can ask them for help."

The driver looked back and estimated the distance. It seemed like they had enough fuel to reach the yacht. But why would they help a stranger?

And it wasn't a life-or-death situation; they could just head to the shore and wait for help from the island. What was Jasmine thinking?

Seeing him hesitate, Jasmine urged, "Come on, it's about to rain, and I don't want to get soaked."

The driver sighed and had no choice but to follow her instructions, turning the boat around and heading towards the yacht at full speed.

Meanwhile, on the yacht's deck, Victoria and the others noticed the changing weather.

Victoria looked around at the darkening sky and the choppy sea, remarking, "The waves look pretty scary, Samuel. Should we head inside?"

Samuel nodded, "Yeah, it looks like it's going to rain soon. Everyone, let's pack up and move everything inside."

The group quickly moved the barbecue equipment into the cabin.

Through the yacht's round portholes, they watched the rapidly changing weather and the surging waves outside while continuing their barbecue, eating, drinking, and having fun.

Nick even set up a sound system and cranked up the music, filling the cabin with lively rock music.

Everyone was having a great time, dancing to the music, including the bartender and waitstaff.

The captain was in the control room, responsibly scanning the surroundings with binoculars.

Suddenly, he noticed a small speedboat heading their way. It was so small that he hadn't seen it earlier.

He found it quite surprising that someone would be out on a speedboat as it was getting dark. But it wasn't his concern, so he quickly put it out of his mind.

As Jasmine's speedboat got closer to the yacht, she started shouting, "Help! Can someone help me?"

She even urged the driver to shout with her, but the loud music from the yacht drowned out their cries for help.

Jasmine kept shouting, but there was no response. As they got closer, she could hear the music from the yacht.

She clenched her phone in frustration. Weren't they just having a barbecue? Why did they suddenly turn up the music so loud?

Thinking about Victoria enjoying herself in the warm cabin with music, drinks, and food while she shivered on this lousy speedboat made Jasmine's throat ache with anger.

She paused to catch her breath, then, seeing the speedboat slowing down, impatiently said, "Why did you stop? Get closer, or they won't hear us!"

Just then, a large raindrop landed on Jasmine's eyelashes, ruining the perfectly curled lashes coated with five layers of mascara.

The sudden downpour made it impossible for her to keep her eyes open. She frantically covered her face with her hands, screaming, "Ahhh! My makeup can't get ruined!"

She had planned to use this opportunity to seek help from Samuel, hoping he would see her in a pitiful state, not drenched and disheveled.

The driver said apologetically, "I'm sorry, Ms. Murphy, we're out of fuel. The engine's dead."

Jasmine, now hiding her head under the seat, looked up in shock, "What did you say? Then shout louder so they notice us! Or swim over there and get them to send someone to pick me up!"

The driver was stunned for a moment. Swim over? Jasmine had no idea how impractical that was.

The yacht was huge, and it was getting dark; they wouldn't notice someone swimming in the water.

The driver didn't bother arguing with her and instead turned the speedboat's front lights to the brightest setting, flashing them repeatedly to signal for help.

In the dark, the changing lights were more likely to catch the yacht's attention.

Meanwhile, on the island, Tony noticed the sudden darkness and strong winds outside.

He quickly closed the study window and asked a servant, "Is Jasmine still by the sea? Get her back here immediately."

The servant replied anxiously, "Someone reported that Ms. Murphy took a speedboat out to sea just before the rain started."

Tony slammed his book shut and looked sternly at the servant, "Didn't you try to stop her? It's getting dark; why would she go out to sea?"

The servant explained, "We tried to stop her, but she insisted on checking out that big yacht."

Tony hurried outside, using binoculars to scan the sea while asking, "Are there any experienced speedboat drivers on the island? Get them out there to find Jasmine and bring her back safely."

The servant hesitated; Tim, the most experienced driver, had already taken Jasmine out. The others weren't as skilled.

But Tony's orders had to be followed, so she went to find someone.

Three speedboat drivers stood before Tony, all looking uneasy.

One of them said, "Tim took Ms. Murphy out. He's the best among us. If he can't make it back, there's no point in us going."

Another added, "They must be heading back after seeing the weather change. If there's any danger, Ms. Murphy will call you."

Tony was initially furious that they weren't following his orders. If Jessica were here, would they defy her commands like this?

But he realized they had a point. Jasmine had her phone; if there was an emergency, she would call for help.

Still, Tony wanted to assert his authority on the island, so he said sternly, "Who's in charge here, you or me? I don't want excuses. Get out there now and find Jasmine."

Reluctantly, the three men accepted the order and slowly headed towards the yacht, cautious not to venture too far from the shore in the strong winds.

Finally, someone on the "Dawn Cruise Ship" noticed the flashing lights below. "Hey, look, is someone signaling for help over there?"

The captain took the binoculars and quickly understood the distress signal from the speedboat.

In maritime navigation, light signals can convey different messages. Ships can communicate without words, using light signals to warn of icebergs or currents ahead.

The captain rushed to the main hall to report the situation to Samuel.
