The Inescapable Celibate Heir Chapter 86: The Agreement
After the late-night gathering, Ethan offered to drive Victoria home.
As they approached The Hamilton Mansion, Ethan suddenly spoke up, "I helped you out today."
Victoria had her car window down, letting the breeze dissipate the faint smell of alcohol on her face. She had promised Samuel not to drink, but she got carried away chatting with Sophie and forgot.
Hearing Ethan's words, she turned to look at him and tilted her head, asking, "How about I treat you to dinner sometime?"
Ethan kept his eyes on the road, turning his head slightly, "Just the two of us?"
Victoria bit her lip gently and murmured, "You just said a few words for me." It was normal for friends to have dinner together, but alone felt a bit too intimate.
Ethan suggested, "How about joining me for a walk with my dogs? Bring Flora along too. I promised to help you train it before."
Victoria sighed in relief and smiled, "Sure, Flora's grown a bit and has so much energy. It's been causing chaos at home. Flora definitely needs to burn off some energy."
So, they agreed to meet up at the park over the weekend to walk Ethan's dogs and Flora.
At the entrance of The Hamilton Mansion, as soon as Victoria stepped out of the car, Flora, a leopard the height of an adult's knee, pounced on her.
Victoria leaned back, catching Flora's paws with a laugh, "Flora! You're getting heavier."
Isaiah smiled from behind, "As soon as Flora heard you were coming back, it insisted on coming to the door to greet you." He then turned to Ethan and bowed, "Mr. Smith, thank you for bringing Ms. Hamilton home."
Ethan nodded slightly, "Please give my regards to Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton."
Victoria held Flora's paw and waved to Ethan, "Thanks, bye."
"Get some rest," Ethan said with a faint smile. He watched Victoria's silhouette until she went inside and the door closed before he turned back to his car.
The next day, Victoria went to class as usual. When the bell rang, the teacher walked in with two unfamiliar faces.
The guy was tall with long legs, his short chestnut hair styled to look effortlessly tousled, each curl meticulously designed. He lazily lifted his eyes, scanning the room with a smirk.
The girl had long chestnut hair in loose waves, wearing a coffee-colored uniform skirt. Her features were delicate, with a small, upturned nose and fluttering eyelashes as she observed the class.
The teacher tapped the podium, "Let me introduce our new students."
"Tony Murphy, nice to meet you all."
"I'm Jasmine Murphy, and he's my twin brother. People say we don't look alike, but it's true! He was born 30 seconds before me, so he's my big brother, which is so unfair!"
Jasmine's playful introduction made many classmates laugh. She continued, "Tony might be quiet, but he's really easy to get along with."
Hearing the word "twins," Victoria and Mira exchanged glances. They both recalled a recent conversation at Moonshadow Hall.
"So these are the illegitimate children of the Murphy family, the kids of Riverdale's most beautiful woman, Jessica! And they're really transferring to our major. Looks like there will be plenty of excitement ahead." Mira grinned mischievously at Victoria.
Victoria, however, focused on Jasmine for a moment before nodding slowly. She didn't remember Tony, but Jasmine was familiar. Roy hadn't mentioned their names last time, or she would have remembered.
Jasmine was Ella's good friend, and they had entered the entertainment industry together, often promoting their deep friendship.
In her previous life, Victoria had often wondered why Ella, with her family background, had so much influence in the entertainment industry. The Scott family was wealthy but not that wealthy, only influential in Silvervale.
Knowing Jasmine's background now, it made sense. The Murphy family's influence was a level above the Scott family, being a nationally renowned jewelry business.
Plus, Jessica was a seasoned veteran in the entertainment industry with extensive connections. If Jasmine wanted to, it would be easy for her to blacklist an unknown young girl to help her friend.
It turned out that Ella wasn't Victoria's only enemy; Jasmine played a significant role too. No wonder Ella had always tried to please Jasmine. As soon as Jasmine transferred, Ella was overly attentive.
Jasmine had a nasty nature. Victoria had once seen Jasmine pour a cup of hot water on a girl's hand just because the girl accidentally bumped into her.
Victoria was stunned, and even more so when Jasmine immediately pretended it was an accident, covering her mouth in shock and showing concern for the girl, making it hard for the girl to complain. No one else saw Jasmine's initial expression change, only the silent Victoria did. It seemed Jessica's acting skills had rubbed off on her.
In the entertainment industry, there were often rumors about Jasmine's arrogance and mistreatment of staff.
But she was sweet-talking to popular stars, directors, and producers, making them smile. So whenever such news broke, there were always people defending her, and it quickly died down, not affecting her career.
Plus, she had some acting skills, securing her a place among young actors with a good reputation. It was quite impressive.
Unfortunately, in her previous life, Victoria didn't know Roy or Tony's development, or she could have helped Roy deal with Jasmine and Tony.
But considering Jasmine's success in the entertainment industry, they must have received significant support from the Murphy family.
Ella was now beaming, looking at Jasmine warmly and waving enthusiastically. Jasmine's mother, Jessica, had strong connections in the entertainment industry, and Ella was determined to befriend her!
She remembered that Victoria's biggest rival was Jasmine. Both were of similar age, with exquisite features, poised and talented in acting.
With Jessica's help, Jasmine debuted as the lead in major productions, directly competing with Victoria. The media loved comparing the two. If Jasmine disliked Victoria, she would be Ella's ally.
The teacher was asking Jasmine and Tony where they wanted to sit. Jasmine's gaze fell on Victoria in the back row.
This girl was exceptionally beautiful, but she and another girl were sitting alone in the back, with a whole row separating them from the rest of the class, as if a clear line isolated them.
