The Inescapable Celibate Heir Chapter 166: Is the Target Not Samuel?

Tony sighed and gave Jasmine a reassuring pat on the shoulder. "Jasmine, if this is what you want, I won't stand in your way. Just hope you don't end up regretting it."

Jasmine's eyes were determined. "Tony, I know exactly what I'm doing. Samuel is way better than those old guys."

She had checked the world's billionaire list, and most of the wealthy men were old enough to be her father, not to mention how unattractive they were.

Samuel was young, handsome, and unmarried, making him the best choice.

Tony left reluctantly, and Jasmine turned her attention back to roasting the turkey.

She couldn't put the aphrodisiac in the turkey; she would wait until nightfall to give it to Samuel separately.

Watching the storm rage outside, Jasmine felt a thrill of excitement.

In the gaming room, Victoria was a bit distracted while playing.

She thought about the last life Jasmine must have come to the island for vacation and encountered the island collapse.

But clearly, she wasn't injured and later made her debut successfully. So, Samuel must have saved her last time too.

Samuel was ten years older than her, and Victoria found it hard to believe he would fall for such a girl. Jasmine must have used some dirty tricks to get Samuel's support.

Victoria was so deep in thought that she was about to be killed by her opponent in the game. Ethan appeared just in time, blocking the final blow and healing her.

Their seats were close, and Ethan waved a hand in front of Victoria's face. "What's on your mind? You've been out of it all afternoon."

Victoria, seeing the enemy right in front of her, frantically operated the keyboard and finally killed the opponent.

She sighed in relief and replied, "Sorry, I just thought of something."

Ethan said, "Thinking about the Murphy siblings? They suddenly visited today and found an excuse to stay. It can't just be to deliver a turkey."

Victoria looked at him in surprise. She could guess Jasmine's intentions because she had been reborn and knew Jasmine's character.

But Ethan had no connection with Jasmine, so how could he guess so quickly? It seemed Ethan had a keen eye.

Seeing Victoria's expression, Ethan knew he had guessed right. He chuckled and continued, "With Samuel's status, if I were them, I'd seize the chance to make a good impression."

"If I were a girl, the easiest way would be to seduce him at night. If I could manage to have a sexual relationship with Samuel, even if I couldn't marry into the Hamilton family, I'd surely reap some benefits."

Victoria blinked and looked at Ethan's expressionless face. "I didn't expect you to look so upright but have such a devious mind."

Ethan replied, "People like us don't need to harm others actively, but we can't be naive either."

People in high positions always had many eyes on them, trying to bring them down. So Ethan had learned to read people from a young age.

Victoria asked, "Since you guessed it, will you tell Samuel?"

Ethan shook his head. "It's just my guess, and besides, what does it have to do with me?"

Victoria pouted. "You're right."

Ethan wasn't a warm-hearted person. Even if he seemed to have a good relationship with Samuel, he felt it wasn't his business.

Or maybe men thought it wasn't a big deal to have a relationship with a woman who threw herself at them?

But Jasmine trying to scheme against Samuel was something Victoria wouldn't agree with.

If Samuel's judgment was that poor, she wouldn't interfere. But now that Jasmine was trying to scheme against her own brother, Victoria wouldn't stand by.

The turkey was done, but Jasmine didn't go upstairs to call them. She waited downstairs until dinner time.

Everyone came down one by one and saw the Murphy siblings still there. Samuel was a bit surprised. "Sorry, I was so busy I forgot. Did Ms. Murphy's turkey turn out well?"

Jasmine stood up and said, "Mr. Hamilton, I saw you were busy, so I didn't want to disturb you. I didn't expect to wait until it got dark."

Victoria, sitting at the dining table, gave her a disdainful look. "Didn't want to disturb, or just looking for an excuse to stay for dinner?"

Jasmine's face turned slightly red as she was exposed. "Victoria, I haven't offended you. Why are you so rude to me?"

"Besides, Mr. Hamilton is the host here. If he doesn't welcome us, we can leave now. Even if I get struck by lightning in the storm, it doesn't matter."

As she said this, a flash of lightning lit up the sky outside, and the thunder seemed to explode right next to them, scaring Jasmine into stepping back and falling into a chair.

Victoria smiled. "You weren't invited by Samuel in the first place. No one here welcomes you."

Samuel shook his head at Victoria, barely suppressing a smile. "Victoria, that's enough. It's late, and the storm is dangerous. You should stay. There are empty guest rooms on the first floor."

He had promised David to ensure Jasmine and Tony's safety, so he had to take responsibility.

He couldn't bring them here and then let them have an accident on his island. That would be troublesome.

Jasmine, who had been fuming at Victoria, was now smiling happily. She looked up sweetly at Samuel.

"Thank you, Mr. Hamilton! I roasted the turkey well this time. Let me bring it out for everyone to try."

Nick was about to mock her for possibly undercooking it again, but after taking a bite, he raised his eyebrows in surprise. It tasted pretty good.

Samuel also took a bite and gave Jasmine an approving look, meeting her expectant eyes.

He smiled and nodded at her, and Jasmine, blushing, looked down at her plate, playing the role of a lovestruck girl perfectly.

Victoria saw this and angrily cut a large piece of steak, stuffing it into her mouth.

Samuel usually seemed so sharp, but he couldn't see through her act? He wasn't as perceptive as Ethan!

After dinner, Victoria suggested taking a break for the night. They couldn't play games every day.

She pretended to go to her room early but actually kept an eye on Jasmine from behind the railing.

Jasmine seemed to know Victoria was watching her and stayed obediently in the living room, watching TV.

It wasn't until a servant came out of the study with a coffee set, seemingly heading to the kitchen to make coffee, that Jasmine made a move.

Jasmine quickly signaled Tony, pointing upstairs.

Tony looked up and saw Victoria. He smiled warmly and walked toward her.

"Victoria, we met at the chess house last time, but I was injured and couldn't play a game with you. How about a game of chess now?"

Victoria had no interest in playing chess with him. She turned coldly and said, "I don't know you well, and I'm not interested."

But Tony seemed oblivious to her attitude, persistently trying to befriend her.

Victoria began to wonder if she had guessed wrong. Was their target not Samuel but her?

She frowned at Tony, thinking of a way to get rid of him, not noticing that Jasmine had already left the living room.
