Cecil showed up with a bunch of club members just as things were getting tense between the two.

Eric had called him over to order first so they could dig in as soon as everyone got there.

Cecil spotted Ella right away. Last time he took her to the infirmary, she woke up all sweet and soft-spoken, making him think she was into him.

"Ella, what are you doing here?"

Ella turned and saw Cecil, letting out a sigh of relief.

Even though she wasn't too fond of him, Cecil was useful right now. She ran over, grabbed his sleeve, and acted all cute.

"I suddenly craved some barbecue, but the owner said the place was booked. I really want to eat."

She stuck out her tongue, licked her lips, and gave him a flirty look.

The young guys, full of energy, almost drooled at the sight of her in a spaghetti strap dress, showing off her collarbone and long legs.

Cecil looked around and asked, "Where are your friends?"

Ella bit her lip shyly, "I came alone."

Cecil, trying to be the hero, said, "No problem, our snooker club booked the place. You can sit with me and just say I invited you."

Even though Eric was the one paying, Cecil acted like he was the one covering the bill.

Ella hesitated and took a step back, "Is it really okay? I'm not a member of your club. Won't people gossip?"

"No problem, I got enough pull to make it happen."

Cecil was a senior member of the snooker club, known for his drinking skills and ability to liven up the place. Eric often had him handle some daily stuff.

After saying that, he tried to touch her hand.

Ella dodged smoothly, just smiling shyly.

Victoria and Mira showed up together. Mira had dressed up for the occasion, wearing a suspender skirt and light makeup, looking like a lively young girl.

At the entrance, seeing that half the people had already arrived and the place was buzzing, Mira nervously grabbed Victoria.

"Are we a bit late? It's all my fault for taking so long to pick an outfit."

Victoria gently touched her hair and said softly, "It's okay, we're not late. You look beautiful today, everyone will like you."

"Victoria, you're so nice!"

Mira always felt a bit insecure. Nexus College had so many outstanding people, and the performing arts department was full of beauties. She had a cute round face, which wasn't the current trend, and always felt like an ugly duckling.

The two went to the front desk to sign in and immediately saw a table surrounded by a bunch of boys who were laughing loudly.

Mira looked over curiously and asked, "What's going on over there?"

Isadora, a newcomer not great at socializing, sat alone at a nearby table. Seeing the two of them, she looked relieved.

"You don't know? A girl named Ella came, she's not even in our snooker club but insisted on joining the party. She's pretty and talkative, attracting all the boys."

Isadora had arrived early. Even though she was the new member of the snooker club, none of the senior members paid her any attention, all flocking to Ella. She sat there awkwardly, pretending to play on her phone while listening to the laughter from the next table.

Mira and Victoria sat down next to her. The three of them were new members and had common topics to discuss.

While pouring water for the three of them, Mira complained, "So shameless, huh? Her face healed so quickly? Victoria, you should have hit her harder that day."

Victoria also noticed Ella's half-exposed face. Ella was clinking glasses with the senior boys at the table, smiling brightly.

"Without real ability, all the scheming is useless."

Isadora snorted. She knew she had no clout in the club. Even if she pointed out that Ella wasn't a member, the senior boys would just brush her off, so she had to keep her dissatisfaction to herself.

Just then, Elise burst in, shouting, "I'm so thirsty."

She made a beeline for Victoria's table, grabbed the glass of water in front of Victoria, and asked, "You haven't drunk from this, right?"

After Victoria nodded, Elise gulped down half the cup of water.

Mira asked, "Elise, what's up?"

Elise waved her hand, "Don't ask, it's too much to explain right now."

Even though her schedule was packed through the weekend, she couldn't turn down Eric's invite. Out of respect, she hurried over.

After catching her breath, Elise noticed the particularly lively table next to them and curiously asked about it.

Isadora quickly complained, emphasizing that Ella wasn't a club member but was acting all high and mighty.

Elise slammed the table and shouted, "Who brought Ella here? Is she a new member?"

The scene quieted down immediately.

The crowd dispersed, revealing Ella and Cecil sitting together.

Cecil's smile froze, and he lowered his voice, "Elise, mind your own business. I invited her."

"Cecil, don't think that just because Eric lets you run errands, you have a lot of power. Did you tell him about bringing outsiders?"

"I didn't, but Eric would respect me on this," Cecil replied confidently.

Ella saw Victoria looking at her mockingly and felt a bit embarrassed, lowering her head to avoid eye contact.

She originally wanted to keep a low profile and wait for Dennis to arrive before making her presence known. But these snooker club members, many of whom came from wealthy families, praised her, and she couldn't help but show off.

At this moment, Ethan and his group arrived at the door.

Elise immediately asked, "Eric, can we bring guests to today's welcome party?"

Eric was taken aback, then saw Ella. He remembered Ella losing to Victoria and playing some tricks, so they should be hostile to each other.

Cecil quickly pleaded, "Eric, Ella is my friend. We ran into each other and came to eat together. It would be too harsh to kick her out."

Normally, Eric wouldn't mind if members invited a few guests to join them for a meal.

Unfortunately, he glanced at Victoria, who was pouting disdainfully. When she saw him looking, she turned her head away.

Eric straightened up and said seriously, "It's not appropriate to invite outsiders. Please politely ask her to leave."

Cecil wanted to argue, but Eric's gaze suddenly became oppressive.

He didn't dare offend Eric and could only look at Ella awkwardly, "Ella, I'm sorry, I..."

Before he could finish, Ella covered her face and ran out crying.

How humiliating! Cecil, with his incompetence and pretentiousness, made her get kicked out in front of so many people!

Ella ran out with her head down and bumped into someone.

The man supported her and asked concernedly, "Sorry, are you okay?"

Ella looked up and saw Dennis. She blushed, believing he had come to save her.

"Dennis, I..." Ella wanted him to help her stay. If Dennis asked, everyone would agree.

Dennis recognized her and frowned, "What are you doing here? Today is the snooker club's..."

Before he could finish, Ella understood and quickly ran away without a word.

Mira, who had been watching, couldn't help but burst into laughter, "Victoria, look at her, fleeing in embarrassment."

Victoria also smiled and greeted Ethan and his group.

Naturally, they sat at a table together.
