The Inescapable Celibate Heir Chapter 92: Walking the Dog

Lila grumbled, "Who'd believe Mira could afford those pricey shoes? It's normal to be suspicious, you can't blame Ella."

Ella pretended to glare at her. "Alright, enough. Mira, I messed up. How about I make it up to you with a fancy dinner, and we just forget this whole thing, okay?"

Mira rolled her eyes, looking at her with disdain. "Who wants your dinner? I believe in payback. Either you apologize to me in front of the whole school, or you clean the bathrooms!"

Seeing Mira's firm stance, Ella whispered with Jasmine for a moment, and they finally decided to clean the bathrooms.

From then on, Jasmine disliked Victoria even more. Victoria was the top student in their major and the most attractive.

Jasmine knew Victoria would be her biggest rival, which was why she helped Ella target Victoria. Who knew they'd end up punished with bathroom duty?

Natalia asked curiously, "Aren't you guys curious where Victoria got the money? Didn't Ella say her parents cut her off? She seems to be living well and even gave Mira such an expensive gift, thirty thousand dollars! I'm so jealous," she said, sneaking a glance at Ella.

The gifts Ella had given her didn't add up to the price of those shoes. Mira was really lucky!

Lila pouted, "Who else could it be? It must be Eric. I heard he's very generous with women. Even without being his girlfriend, he'd still give expensive gifts. That kind of money is nothing to him. Victoria got into the Snooker Club because of his help. Everyone's wondering when he'll dump her."

Jasmine asked, "You mean the Charming Four from the Computer Science department?"

Ella reminded her, "Yes, him. He's good friends with Roy."

Jasmine nodded, staying silent. She and Tony had returned to the Murphy family to compete with Roy for the inheritance.

Since Victoria was close to him, she was naturally an enemy. They needed to teach Victoria a lesson and show Roy their strength.

Ella covered her nose, laughing. It seemed Jasmine understood her intention—to make her hate Victoria and target her. That way, Ella could benefit.

On Saturday, Ethan came to pick up Victoria to walk the dogs. He only brought Meteor, so the back seat was spacious enough for Meteor to lie at his feet.

Flora had grown taller than Victoria's knees and weighed several dozen pounds. Victoria could lift it but couldn't carry it in a bag, so she put a collar on Flora.

As soon as the door opened, Flora happily pounced on Meteor. It had been a month since they last met, but Flora still remembered Meteor.

Victoria exclaimed, "Flora seems to really like Meteor."

Ethan watched the two playfully wrestling and glanced at Victoria's bright smile, his lips curling slightly. "Yeah, pets take after their owners." Flora liking Meteor meant Victoria didn't mind him either.

Victoria sat next to him, staring at him curiously. "But Goldie is silly and cute, not much like you."

Ethan's eyebrow twitched, and he cleared his throat, not answering. He pretended to watch the pets play seriously, feeding Meteor a piece of jerky.

They sat quietly in the car, the pets playing, creating a harmonious atmosphere.

Soon, they arrived at a large park. It was still early, and many elderly people were exercising. They walked side by side, holding the leashes.

Meteor was elegant and handsome, with fluffy fur; Flora was agile, with shiny fur, quickly attracting the attention of many elderly people.

An old man with a white beard followed them for a while, admiring Meteor and frowning at Flora.

Finally, he couldn't help but ask Victoria, "Miss, your cat doesn't look like a cat. Why are you walking it? What breed is it? I've never seen one like it."

Victoria looked up and was surprised to recognize the old man as the famous screenwriter, Leon Schmidt.

The leash in her hand tightened, causing Flora to let out a yelp. Victoria quickly rubbed Flora's head to soothe it, "It's okay, Flora, don't be scared."

Leon was renowned for his fantasy series, and almost every one of his shows was a hit!

Victoria had grown up watching his fantasy dramas and admired him greatly, always hoping to star in one of his shows.

Unfortunately, in her previous life, she never got the chance. Leon was getting older and would announce his retirement in a few years, while Victoria was still a nameless stunt double.

She wondered if she would have the opportunity to work with him in this life.

Suppressing her excitement, Victoria calmly said, "It's a mix of a Bengal cat and a domestic cat, so it looks quite unique."

Leon stroked his beard, nodding as he looked at Flora. "No wonder it looks so majestic. It must have inherited the Bengal cat's traits."

Victoria smiled without answering. Flora could grow even bigger; it was only two months old.

But she didn't want to scare Leon by revealing Flora was a leopard. Once Flora grew larger, she wouldn't be able to bring it to public places so casually.

Leon kept his eyes on Flora, looking envious. Victoria asked curiously, "Do you like cats? Why don't you have one?"

Leon shook his head. "My wife is allergic to cat fur, so no matter how much I love them, I can't have one."

Not only was he a talented screenwriter, but he also loved his wife deeply. Victoria's admiration for him grew, and she said kindly, "If you like, you can pet its back. Flora's had all her shots."

Leon excitedly reached out, gently stroking Flora's exceptionally smooth fur.

His expression was one of joy and contentment, like a child who had just received a long-desired candy.
