The Inescapable Celibate Heir Chapter 67: Entrance Turmoil
After winning the competition and returning home, the whole family celebrated together.
Under the night, the Hamilton family set off fireworks on the front lawn.
Even David, whose hair was slightly graying, joined in the fun. As he watched the blue sparks cascade into the sky, his deep voice resonated with delight. "Are these new kinds of fireworks? No wonder young folks love them; they're truly something special."
Diana covered her mouth, laughing, and brushed some debris off his shoulder. "You're getting older, yet you play like a kid. You say it's to celebrate Victoria, but you and Samuel are having the most fun."
Samuel laughed loudly, "Dad and I are Victoria's knights, setting off fireworks to welcome her!"
As he turned to speak, the direction of his fireworks shifted.
Victoria jumped to avoid the sparks, laughing happily, "Samuel, with your aim, you're not welcoming me; you're trying to destroy me!"
Marigold, sitting off to the side, called out, "Be careful, those things are dangerous."
The family laughed and played for a long time. When they were almost done, Victoria suddenly remembered to ask, "Mom, I heard your new show 'Voice of Magic' is premiering soon. Are there any tickets available?"
Diana smiled at Victoria, tucking a stray lock of hair behind her ear. "The first performance is next weekend. If you want to go, of course, there are tickets. How many do you need?"
"I want to invite some friends. I'll ask them in a bit." Victoria had promised to invite Mira, and she also thought of her good friends Ethan and the others.
"Alright, it looks like my precious daughter has made many friends. I'll get you the best VIP tickets."
"You're the best, Mom!" Victoria cheered, hugging Diana tightly. This made David, who had just put down the fireworks, jealous.
He looked at Victoria and Diana with mock resentment, "Sweetheart, what about me? Where do I stand?"
"I love you all, you're all number one!"
After receiving Victoria's message, Ethan and the others quickly replied that they wanted to go, so Victoria ended up taking six tickets.
After the competition, it was said that the cheerleading captain, Vivian, went to confront Eric about being kicked off the bus. But Eric ignored her. So the dance team was even angrier and more hostile towards the snooker club.
When they saw Victoria and Mira on the street, they immediately put on sour faces and muttered insults.
Mira was furious, frowning as she spoke to Victoria, "It was Dennis who kicked them off the bus and Eric who ignored her. Why are they targeting me? Just because I don't have a background?"
Victoria handed her a coffee, her tone calm and even smiling, "Don't get angry; anger causes wrinkles."
Mira asked, "Victoria, how can you smile? Your mindset is so positive!"
A positive mindset? That was honed from being insulted so much in her past life.
In her previous life in the entertainment industry, she was frequently smeared by Ella, who manipulated public opinion against her. She was often the target of scorn, even having rotten vegetables thrown at her on set.
If she didn't have a good mindset, she would have been driven mad. She had to learn to let things go.
Victoria advised her, "Mira, most of us will end up in the entertainment industry. There will be even more people judging us. Just focus on our work and don't pay too much attention to their malice and insults."
Mira was shocked, looking at Victoria, "Victoria, if I didn't know you, I'd think you've been in the entertainment industry for years."
Victoria gave a gentle smile, indeed having learned this after spending several years in the entertainment industry.
On the day of the "Voice of Magic" performance, the entrance to Moonshadow Hall was packed.
The show was set to start at 7:30 PM, and Mira arrived early, checking the time and looking around.
Ella arrived with the cheerleading squad and spotted Mira at the entrance.
Vivian deliberately walked up to Mira and bumped into her hard. With a contemptuous smile, she said, "Sorry, didn't see you there. Aren't you Victoria's friend from the snooker club? What are you doing here? Do you even have a ticket?"
She said this on purpose, noticing the anxious look on Mira's face and the lack of a ticket in her hand.
Mira clutched her sore shoulder, glaring at her, "What does it matter to you if I have a ticket or not?"
The members of the dance club laughed, and Vivian said smugly, "Ella has the means and money to buy us high-priced resale tickets. We don't even have to wait in line. Unlike you, still waiting outside!"
Ella enjoyed watching them bully Mira, but without Victoria around, she wasn't as interested and just watched quietly.
At that moment, Victoria got out of Nick's car and immediately saw Ella and her group surrounding Mira. She quickly ran over, "What are you doing?"
Ella put on a smile, "Victoria, we're just concerned about how your friend will get in without a ticket."
Victoria pulled Mira away, not wanting to engage with Ella.
Vivian put her hands on her hips, glaring at her, "How can you be so rude? Ella was being polite, and here you are, so uncouth! Well, wait in line then! Ella, show them our VIP tickets!"
Just then, Ella saw a new message on her phone, her smile faltering. She quickly pretended nothing was wrong, "I'm still in contact with the staff. They said they'll bring the tickets over soon."
In reality, the theater staff had told her there was an issue with the tickets, and she was negotiating to make sure she got them today. Otherwise, she'd be embarrassed in front of so many people.
Seeing Ella hesitate, Vivian immediately realized the tickets weren't in hand yet. She leaned in and whispered, "Is there a problem? Is this staff member trustworthy?"
Victoria's phone rang. It was the staff bringing her tickets. Soon, a man in a theater uniform came out of the VIP entrance, holding a stack of tickets and looking around.
Vivian shook Ella's arm, urgently asking, "Is that him? Are those our tickets?"
Ella looked troubled, glancing at her phone, "I don't know, maybe."
The man walked towards them, and Vivian confidently stepped forward, "We're friends of Ella. You must be here to give us our tickets."
She reached out to take the VIP tickets, but the man pulled back cautiously, "These tickets are for Ms. Hamilton and her friends. Are you Ms. Hamilton?"
Vivian's face fell, and she stepped aside.
Mira happily raised Victoria's arm, "Victoria's right here!"
