Since he wasn't heading to work today, he opted for a more laid-back look with a white T-shirt and light gray pants. He looked years younger, like a fresh-faced college student who stood out on campus.

I couldn't help but think of the saying: "After all these years, he still looks like a young man." Back in college, he was the heartthrob everyone admired.

The first time I saw him was at the gate of my family's villa. He was dressed similarly then, carrying a backpack. Just one look, and he exuded a rare elegance, paired with his handsome face. I was a bit dazed at the time. I wondered if I blushed back then.

"How far is it from here?" Christopher suddenly turned to me and asked calmly.

Even though his gaze was as composed as ever, I was a bit flustered, probably because I had been lost in thought. His sudden attention made me feel guilty, and I instinctively avoided his eyes.

I quickly pulled out my phone and checked the navigation, a bit flustered. "Not far, about ten minutes. I usually buy dog food for my Golden Retriever from this store. Don't worry, they're reputable, with good quality and a wide variety. Do you have a specific type of dog food in mind?"

Talking about something I was familiar with made me feel more confident. I wasn't exactly eloquent, but I spoke with assurance.

Christopher replied, "I don't know much about dog food. Do you have any recommendations?"

I mentioned two types, but Christopher looked confused.

Honestly, for a dog lover, it might seem a bit irresponsible. But as I thought about it, he was not that kind of person. After all, despite how disappointing I could be, he had always taken care of me because of his promise to my parents. It showed he was actually very responsible.

Maybe he was just too busy. For someone like him, spending money or hiring help might be more cost-effective, so he usually left these things to Tiana.

"My dog eats the first type I mentioned, but we can also ask the pet store staff for recommendations, especially for Biscuit's breed." I thought that was a good idea.

Christopher nodded. "Sure."

Soon, the driver followed the navigation and we arrived at the pet store.

Christopher and I walked in, one after the other. We found a staff member who patiently introduced us to different types of dog food and gave us some tips and recommendations based on our needs.

Despite his imposing presence, Christopher was very polite and listened attentively without any sign of impatience.

One could tell a lot about a man by how he treated a regular service worker, especially when he was in a high position. This showed that Christopher was a good person.

"Even though you two are new to this, it's clear you care a lot about your dog. Kind-hearted people deserve happiness. I wish you both a happy and loving life together."

I blushed, misunderstood again. I wondered what people saw in me that made them think I was a match for someone like Christopher.

I hoped he didn't think I had asked the staff to say that, given that I mentioned I often came here and was somewhat familiar with them.

"Thanks for the kind words, but we're not..."

Before I could finish, Christopher, seemingly not having heard or not caring, reminded me, "Weren't we here to pick out dog food? Let's go take a look."

His words shifted my focus. I nodded. "Alright, let's go!"

The staff kindly pointed us in the right direction, and Christopher headed that way. I quickly followed.

To ensure Biscuit wouldn't run out of food, especially since Christopher was often too busy to come by, I grabbed a cart.

Listening to the staff's recommendations, I was tempted to try several options. Every time I picked up a bag of dog food, I eagerly asked Christopher, "How about this one? Should we try it for Biscuit?"

"Sure." Christopher didn't say much, but his attitude while shopping made it easy for a girl to feel happy and involved without dampening her enthusiasm.

Sometimes I wondered what kind of woman Christopher liked. She must be very lucky.

I vaguely heard the murmurs around us.

But the cart got bumped, and I twisted my ankle, about to fall.

I smelled that familiar scent and looked up, meeting his deep, concerned eyes.

"Are you okay? Did you get hurt?" Christopher's voice was low and filled with concern.

I shook my head, quickly standing up and stepping out of his arms. "I'm fine, thank you!"
