Mated to alpha triplets at all-boys school Chapter 129
Gio pov
My firsts slam against his face, I can't seem to stop even if I try to. But nobody can blame me. This is what he deserves. This is what Kaiden has earned for his stupidity. Nobody asked him to act out of place and make decisions that might put the whole pack in jeopardy.
When Kaiden starts begging for mercy, I don't stop. Instead, I keep plummeting my fists into his jaw. It was bound to happen that this spoiled, rotten kid would learn his lesson one way or another. And from today forward, no matter the consequences, I don't mind becoming his lesson.
“Gio, stop please. I'm begging you stop,” Kaiden’s broken pleas echo against the walls.
When Kaiden realizes that begging won't help, he starts threatening me. First, he brings up his father, reminds me of the power the king holds, but since that doesn't faze me, Kaiden starts screaming that he's going to throw me out of the pack.
Most of his words are a jumbled mess, but there are a few I catch on. The funniest of the threats is one about me losing my position, the same position I just asked to be excused of.
Goddess, if only Kaiden knew how grateful I would be, if he managed to go through with those threats. I could drop everything, forget about life as I had it, and go after my mate. What the prince thinks is the biggest punishment in my books, it is nothing but a blessing.
I send another punch aimed right at his nose. Blood splatters all over Kaiden’s face and the pained scream leaves his lips. “You think it’s funny to play God? Think it's funny to make decisions that will send the whole pack into sure death? You really think that sending the hunters was a good idea?” I scream the questions.
Kaiden looks lost, as if he doesn't understand the gravity of his actions. As if, growing up, Kaiden didn't get to listen to the horror stories about hunters and their doings. He's acting like this is no big deal. Like he's actually thinking that the hunters will locate his mate and bring her back.
What he doesn't understand is that none of those men are okay with Kaiden’s plan. They have their own ideas, their own plans. Most likely, they will capture Ash and the bears, take them to a secure location, and most likely sell them on the black market.
I've seen that happen one many too times. The hunters have an insane amount of wolfsbane and none of them care if they use too much. For the bears, it wouldn’t be an issue, but with Ash... Well, they can kill the girl.
Kaiden manages to kick me off him. He looks like a crazed animal, ready to attack as if he has to fight for his life. Funny, really, the boy has no idea how it really would be. In fact, he has no idea how the real world works. Kaiden wouldn’t survive out there on his own even for a day.
“What's your problem, Gio? Can't deal with the fact that I don't need you to deal with my issues? Can't get over your little, fragile ego? You're a disgrace. A laughable mutt, wiggling his tail, eager to serve his master. Newsflash, asshole, I don't need you. I don't need your advice, I don't need your help, and more than anything, I don't need your filthy hands on me.” Kaden screams at the top of his lungs.
I point an accusatory finger at him. “Boy, you have no idea what you have done.”
Kaiden laughs. “Do I look like someone who cares? I needed the issue to be taken care of, I sent someone to do my dirty work, and in no time, it'll all be over. In my books, I call this a win.” He dusts imaginary dust off his shoulder, looking as smug as ever.
I have to grit my teeth to hold in every vile thing I want to toss at him. It's not only my fist I want to use as an attack. Someone has to get this boy to listen. And there's someone unfortunately is me, given that his father couldn't give a damn.
As I part my lips, ready to give this boy a verbal beating of a lifetime, Kaiden sends me a knowing glance and flashes me our mischievous grin.
It's not long until the door to the office bursts open and at least a dozen guards surround us. I glance over my shoulder, and to my horror, the king enters the office. “I don't recall ordering you to find my son and beat him to a pulp, Gio. I don't recall ever telling you that you are allowed to put your hands on him.”
The situation isn't pretty, but I'm sure if I'm given as much as a minute of his time, I could explain everything, and the king would be on my side. However, there's no such luck for me. Instead of demanding explanations and trying to understand the situation, the king flicks his wrist and growls at his guards. “Take Gio to the cells and warn everyone that he is not allowed to have any food or water for three days straight.”
My eyes widen. For years, I've considered the king of my closest friend, my best friend in fact, but it seems that he has no issue with taking the knife from my hand and stabbing me in the back.
I'm shocked speechless. Quite frankly, I don't think he would listen to any explanation, even if I begged him to listen. At the end of the day, I am nothing but a follower, and Kaiden is his son, so of course he will listen to the brat.
Just to make the matter worse, before I'm taken away, the king spares me a disgusted glance and curls his lip. “I hope you remember the last conversation we had, Gio. The thing you asked me. Consider it off the table. Your wish will not be granted, not after what you did to my son.”
