Mated to alpha triplets at all-boys school Chapter 91
Kaiden pov
Ever since the damn incident in the lunch hall, I’ve been trying to find a way to get back at those assholes and their silly little friend.
Who do they think they are to humiliate me like that and get away with it?
Of course, that’s not the only problem I have with the triple freaks. Their damn pack is growing stronger, which in a sense, is one of the reasons my father sent me here. Not only do I have to find my useless mate, but also, I must train and look out for perfect warriors to join our army.
If we keep losing like we lost to that pack of assholes, our power will slowly fade into oblivion and no pack will follow our lead. I absolutely refuse to take over the throne just to become the king of nothing after my father has had the time of his life at the top of the food chain.
On top of all of the issues I already have, Gio keeps disappearing somewhere and refuses to tell me what he has been up to. Sadly, since my father is still technically his “boss”, Gio has to answer to him, not me.
Actually, speaking of the devil, as soon as his odd behavior crosses my mind, the asshole himself enters the room and drops his insanely large body onto the sofa, letting out a loud sigh.
“About the damn time you show your face around here,” I grumble and run a hand through my hair, hoping the action might rid me of some of the tension that’s been building all over my scalp. Lately, since I’m overthinking so much, I’ve been having awful headaches.
“I wasn’t told that I must act like your babysitter at all times. The king gave me full freedom to explore and enjoy this little adventure as a long deserved vacation, and that’s exactly what I’m doing here,” Gio grumbles, eyes closed, an odd sense of ease surrounding him.
I arch and eyebrow and watch him. I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen this guy so relaxed and at peace. Almost like he has found a missing piece of himself and finally has become whole.
Weird.
Not that I care. Both of us have to focus on more important stuff, such as how to punish that little cripple that the triplets are obsessed with. If I want to strike them, I must do it where it hurts the most and it looks like that tiny twat is their weak spot.
I give myself another moment to watch Gio and decide against voicing my plans. He might be big and scary most of the time, but he’s also too right to be my accomplice with this one. I will never hear the end of his whining about how wrong it is to target the smaller, weaker wolves, and that’s some shit I can live without.
Instead, I clear my throat and bring up a topic that surely concerns him just as much as it does my father. “So, I’ve been thinking about something regarding my precious little mate lately.”
Finally, Gio opens his eyes and perks up, suddenly interested in what I have to say. He clears his throat and shifts in his seat, motioning for me to talk and adding, “go on, you have my attention now.”
I grin at him and lean back in my own seat. “I can always smell her. And I don’t mean just in passing, but seriously ALWAYS. I can’t stress this enough. Plus, there’s this one tiny detail I noticed about the scent.”
I leave the words hanging, just to torture the asshole a little. He deserves it for all the ignoring and disappearing he’s been tossing my way lately.
Both of his eyebrows shoot up, comically almost hitting his hairline. “What’s the detail, Kaiden? You have to tell me so we can figure out where she is. The sooner you find her, the sooner you can fix your mistake and I can-” he stops himself mid-sentence, shakes his head and clears his throat again. “Yeah, you can fix your mistake and take her home to make her the queen she deserves to be.”
There it is, the secret I knew he was hiding, and I almost pulled it out of him without trying. It’s fine, I’ll get to know what it is sooner rather than later.
“The scent, I can catch it more often around the damned triplets. Every time our paths cross, it’s becoming more obvious. I’m pretty sure they have something to do with her, or at least, they know where to find her.” I announce and keep the rest of the details out.
Gio is my father’s right hand man, not mine, so I won’t just tell him that there are many more things I’ve noticed about the missing mate.
For example, how I can perfectly recall her figure even after all the time she’s been gone. However, after we ran into each other during the party, I instantly noticed that it has changed, she looks way more stronger than she used to when she was in my pack. The height hasn’t changed, neither has the scent.
Truth be told, I highly suspect that the little guy I was making fun of in the lunch hall might be my missing mate, going undercover as a dude to throw me off and get away from me. Ha, if that could ever happen. Those tiny disgusting hands hold my title in their palms and I won’t let her take it away from me.
That’s why I purposely reduced the chances of running into them and started investigating her in the shadows. I kept my distance and made sure no one noticed me following her. At all times, at least one of the triplets is with her, which makes me suspect her even more - there’s no need for a constant bodyguard unless you have a massive secret to hide from everyone, right?
“Interesting,” Gio grumbles, pulling me out of my thoughts. “So, what are you planning now?”
Well, I have a great plan, one that involves a very close friend of hers, but it’s not like I will lay out all of my cards to Gio now, especially knowing he will instantly deliver the information to my father.
“Just watch and see what happens next, I’m in no rush,” I lie.
Gio opens his mouth, probably to protest, but he doesn’t get a chance since my phone goes off with an incoming message. Pulling it out of my pocket, I unlock the screen and tap on the messages icon, instantly feeling my face nearly split in half with how wide my grin is.
“Gotta go now, was nice talking to you,” I grumble, pushing myself off the seat and getting up.
Gio watches me walk to the door and leave the apartment while my eyes are laser focused on the screen. “Meet me in the woods behind the main building, I have some information to share. -Anno.”
