The next day comes far too soon. I don’t want to wake up, but just like the invitation says, I must do it. There are some things in life I can’t avoid even if I really want to.

By the time I stagger out of my room, the triplets are running around like their asses are on fire. All of them dressed in fancy, overpriced and clearly custom made suits only for them.

Do I hate the fact that those clothes look like they fit like gloves? Yes and no.

Yes, because just looking at them makes my mouth water and I’m pretty sure the drool that escapes reaches the floor.

No because I sure do enjoy the frantic eye candies storming past me.

“Geez, you look like shit. Late night?” Elias scoffs once he notices me, but pays me no more attention than that.

He isn’t just irritated today, it’s clear he’s angry with me and I kind of understand that. I was acting like an ass yesterday while all he wanted was to make sure I’m okay.

And yet, while I want to apologize for how I acted, he doesn’t give me a chance to do so, turns his back to me and leaves the main area of the apartment.

Ethan, however, is a completely different scenario. Ever the positive light of the party, he approaches me with caution, looking so worried, I feel bad for looking like ‘shit’. The last thing I want to do is to worry these three.

“Ash? Are you okay? Should we call the doc to make sure you can attend that stupid party? If you’re not feeling up to it, I will skip too, consequences be damned. Your health comes first, everything else can suck my dick.” Just to emphasize his statement, Ethan cups his junk and squeezes it.

I seriously have no idea since when I’ve become such a pervert, but I struggle to find the strength to look away. Even more so when Everett joins and supports Ethan’s statement by mimicking his brother’s action and adding, “yeah, they can suck mine too.”

Somehow, I manage to shake my head and break out of the haze those two create. “No,” I whisper, my voice raspy, making me sound pained enough for even Elias to steal a glance my way. “I’m fine, just tired, is all. And besides, the party our beloved prince is throwing isn’t something we can choose to attend or skip. The invitation says everyone has to attend, no exceptions.”

All of their faces fall, which at least makes me smile a little. Looks like I’m not the only one who isn’t looking forward to faking happiness today.

“Alright, if that’s what you think is the right thing, I support you,” Ethan beams, steps closer and slaps his hand on my shoulder, making me wince in pain. “Sorry about that, I didn’t think about how strong I really am. Anyway, are you going to get dressed anytime soon? We’re supposed to leave soon, that’s why we’re running around like crazy ants.”

I glance around to see if Elias is still around. I’m not sure why my eyes keep seeking him out, maybe because after yesterday’s fiasco, I’m worried he might spill the beans..

But, to my relief, once my gaze catches his, Elias seals his lips and silently pretends to zip them closed, so I smile at him.

I know he’s trying his best not to smile back, but I can see it - just barely, but he’s smiling back. Good. For the time being I’m still living with these three crazies, at least my secret is safe with Elias.

As my gaze returns back to Ethan, I flash a weak smile and shake my head. “Yeah, I noticed you guys are in a hurry. I need to check if there’s anything decent I could wear from what I got in my bag, it’s not like I predicted a fancy event, you know.”

Ethan’s smile widens and a spark of something appears in his eyes as he jumps up and down, clapping his hands. “Don’t worry, Ash, I took care of it for you. The school’s tailor has your measurements so I made sure she makes you a suit once I heard about this party.”

The relief that washes over me is impossible to put in words. I feel like I could melt into a puddle at Ethan’s feet, that’s how bloody grateful I am.

Before I can open my mouth to thank him for what he did, Ethan rushes away to his room and soon returns with a massive black bag in his hands. “Here. Go, take a shower and get ready. We’ll wait for you. Ain’t no way in hell we’re leaving without our bestie at our side.”

As I accept the bag, I glance at Elias and Everett, both just smirking in amusement as they watch the exchange. Since we’re already wasting precious time and trying to thank Ethan will take too long with how he usually is, I just nod and do as I’m told.

Locked in my bedroom, I drop the suit bag on the bed and strip before I head to the bathroom in my room. After the shower, I get dressed and nearly gasp at my reflection in the mirror. The suit is tailored to perfection, so much so that it shows off my waist and makes me look a little more feminine, but I don’t hate it. It’s like I look like a real man but with a little of that spice added.

Also, the color is dull enough for me to blend in with the crowd, which is something I’ll have to thank Rose for doing a little later.

Once I leave the room, Ethan grabs my hand and drags me away from his brothers, calling back at them to start moving if they don’t want to be late. Walking from the building to the main event hall, he keeps bubbling about something, happily laughing and winking at me once in a while.

“Here goes nothing,” I mutter to myself as we enter and are instantly met with a massive room full of people. Everyone seems to have fun, even more so since there are many women around us.

In a supposed to be boys only school, we have a crowd of women here. Well, I’ll be damned. To my displeasure, many of them try to approach me and flirt, even though I do my best to appear uninterested and reject them, the women return like bees.

“Go on, mingle with the people, I’m not holding you back,” I encourage Ethan to let me be.

Instead of listening to me, Ethan just grins and leans closer to whisper, “no way. To miss you looking all awkward and flushed while you send those girls away sulking? Ha, you wish.”

My initial reaction is anger, but soon after it’s replaced with an odd sense of relief. My hand instinctively reaches out and grabs Ethan’s for support as I notice the devil himself walking towards us, flashing me his signature evil grin...
