Everett pov

The door opens, Beta steps aside, and Elias walks in first, almost breaking the character as the foamed up saliva spills out of his mouth. Truth be told, I almost lose my character too. It's just too funny, the looks on the Elders faces is like a chief's kiss.

Just seeing them like this, exchanging worried glances among each other and stealing some uncertain ones our way takes the cake. I swear, they look like they're about to shit their panties.

One of the Elders takes a cautious step towards us and Beta instantly speaks up. “Forgot about the water, fuckface, but at least I brought some company for entertainment.” Elias, without a warning, grabs a chair nearest to him and sends it flying at the wall with a loud, powerful growl, nearly hitting one of the Elders in the head. “See, great company, indeed,” Beta laughs and slaps Elias’ shoulder, silently praising him for the show he's putting on.

I catch on some whispers from the Elders, most about how they were right when they said the Alphas kids were crazy and probably suffered from rabies. For the record, we don't. I mean, we don't have rabies. Crazy part, however, I can't make any claims I can't stand by.

“Alpha and Luna will join you shortly. I need to go and fetch a special surprise for you guys, so don't miss me too much,” Beta speaks over everyone, gives me a curt nod and leaves.

Just to fuck with the guys, Elias and I start walking around them. On multiple occasions I nearly double over laughing as Elias gets into the ultimate role of a madman by sniffing some of the Elders and pulling faces as reactions.

I spit the foamy saliva on the floor and point at one of the Elders. “Mom comes here and you tell her you did this. Got it?”

The man raises his hands in surrender, pales and instantly nods in agreement. Mom would forgive us for doing many things, such as breaking furniture or some bones, but spitting on the floor is an inexcusable crime that brings awful consequences with a lot of suffering. She doesn't like bodily fluids anywhere in her home.

I kind of get her. When we were way younger, like any shifter boy, we wanted to piss all over the place to mark our territory like dogs. The cleaning up that woman did, shit, she never let us live that experience down. Every time we did something wrong, she reminded us how our rebellious stage started with pissing all over the house. Ah, memories, sweet memories.

“I told you entering this territory would be the biggest mistake we have ever made!” One of the Elders whisper-hisses at another one.

The one receiving all the heat looks like his heart is about to leap out of his mouth. His whole body shakes, for fuck’s sake, the poor guy might be experiencing a heart attack.

But then, to my utter surprise, he manages to hide the fear and confusion, and initially, glares daggers at his friend before whispering, “it is crucial we deal with the situation as peacefully as possible. We didn't come here to stir trouble or act higher than others. We're here to seek peace and sensible ideas to deal with the situation we have on our hands.”

While the Elders are busy quietly arguing, I look at Elias. He has the same look on his face as I do, which means he too caught on the hint. The reason why Elders are this damn insistent on fixing everything peacefully is that most likely, they can't afford a war. Not even one day of it, especially against our parents.

Just when one of the men looks like he's about to blow up, his face turns red and eyes become crazed, the door bursts open and we all look at the newcomer.

Shit, this is glorious. Beta has Ethan on a goddamn leash and to make it better, he actually put a muzzle over my brother's mouth. “One wrong move and I’m removing the muzzle. Whatever body parts Ethan chooses to bite off, that's what you're risking if you do as much as make one wrong sound.”

“I'm gonna take dicks this time. Fuck the fingers, I'm taking something that means the world to you guys,” Ethan grins.

If I wouldn't know my brother the way I do, shit, I would be terrified of him as well. I'd literally never try to do as much as keep my soul from escaping my body, let alone argue.

Just to add more emphasis on his plans, Ethan opens and closes his mouth, forcing his teeth to grind together with a loud sound. It literally sends shivers through my entire body in painful jolts. I can seriously imagine how his teeth break bones in half.

At his action, the whole bunch of Elders take a step back, placing their hands over their hearts like some ladies who clutch their pearls. If they don’t calm the fuck down, they’ll probably remain on these lands forever with the mass heart attacks.

“We came here for a peaceful discussion, Beta. There is no need to threaten or attack us. From where I stand, I haven’t seen even one of our actions reflect a possible threat.” One of the Elders stutters, looking like he’s about to bolt out of here and leave his friends behind.

“The boys, our precious future Alphas, are here to ensure their parents are safe. You’d be surprised how truly protective sons can be over their mother. Neither of them are worried about their father, the boys know Alpha is more than capable of snapping your necks. Their mother, however, yes they want to protect her. Especially if the whole council of Elders drops on her head like sudden snowfall and demands to see her in private. Think, just fucking think before you answer because help me Goddess, you’ll need her blessing if one wrong word leaves your mouths.”
