Mated to alpha triplets at all-boys school Chapter 247
Elias pov
The kitchen is quiet, the kind of quiet that feels unnatural. Usually, someone’s here - Everett is raiding the fridge for protein shakes, or Ethan is making a mess he’ll never clean up. But this morning, it’s just me.
I lean against the counter, staring blankly at the coffee maker as it hums to life. The soft hum of it fills the air, but my mind is somewhere else, still tangled in the weird dream from last night. Ash.
Her face is burned into my memory, the way she looked at me, the way she touched my hand like it was the most natural thing in the world. The way she said, “You’re mine,” like it was an absolute truth.
A shiver runs down my spine just thinking about it.
And then there was Everett. And Ethan. I scrub a hand over my face, letting out a low groan. That part makes no sense. Why the hell would my brothers show up in my dream about Ash?
The coffee maker beeps, pulling me back to reality. I grab a mug and pour the dark liquid in slowly. The smell is comforting. Maybe it’s just stress. We’ve got enough on our plates without adding dreams into the mix. The fact that Ash is gone is messing with my head more than I want to admit.
I take a sip of coffee, letting the warmth spread through me, but it does little to untangle the mess in my brain. The sound of footsteps breaks the quiet, and I glance over my shoulder to see Everett shuffling into the kitchen. His hair is a mess, and he’s wearing that ratty old hoodie he won’t let anyone throw out. He looks half-asleep, which is unusual for him.
“Morning,” I say, raising my mug in mock greeting.
He grunts something that might be a response and heads straight for the fridge. “I had the weirdest dream ever,” he mutters, grabbing a bottle of water and twisting the cap off.
My hand freezes mid-sip, the words hit me like a truck. “Yeah?” I ask carefully, trying to keep my tone casual. “What kind of dream?”
Everett leans against the counter, taking a long swig of water before answering. “It was about Ash,” he says, frowning slightly. “We were in this park, and she was just… there, waiting for me. She said something about how she’d been waiting for me. It was weird.”
My chest tightens, but I force myself to stay calm. “What else?”
He tilts his head, squinting like he’s trying to piece it together. “She said I was hers. Or something like that. And then…” He pauses, his frown deepening. “You and Ethan showed up.”
I nearly choke on my coffee. “What?”
“Yeah,” he sighs. “You two just showed up out of nowhere, and she was all calm about it, like it was normal. She said we were all connected or something.”
The words send a chill down my spine. “You’re serious?”
“Dead serious,” he insists, giving me a weird look. “Why? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”
I set my mug down, my mind racing. “Because I had a dream too. About Ash.”
Everett’s eyes widen. “No way.”
“Way,” I say, crossing my arms in front of my chest. “She said I was hers too. And you and Ethan showed up in mine.”
We stare at each other for a long moment. “What the hell does it mean?” Everett finally asks, his voice low.
“I don’t know,” I admit, running a hand through my hair. “But it doesn’t feel like just a dream. It feels important.”
Before either of us can say more, Ethan bursts into the kitchen, looking as disheveled as Everett. His hoodie is inside-out, and there’s a faint red mark on his forehead, like he fell asleep on something hard.
“Coffee,” Ethan grumbles, heading straight for the coffee maker. “I need coffee after the royal fuckery of a dream I had last night.”
Everett and I exchange a look. “Let me guess,” I say, watching as Ethan pours himself a mug and downs half of it in one gulp. “It was about Ash.”
Ethan freezes, his mug halfway to his mouth. Slowly, he turns to look at us, his eyes narrowing. “How the hell do you know that?”
“Because we both had dreams about her too,” Everett explains.
Ethan blinks, then sets his mug down with a loud thunk. “Okay, hold up. You’re telling me we all had dreams about Ash? The same night?”
“Looks like it,” I say, leaning back against the counter.
Ethan’s lips twitch like he’s about to make a joke, but then his expression turns serious - a rarity for him. “Okay, mine was weird as hell. I was standing on a cliff, looking awesome, obviously, and there was this huge crowd cheering for me. But then Ash showed up, and she said she’d been waiting for me. She said I was hers.”
“Let me guess,” Everett says dryly. “We showed up too.”
Ethan points at him. “Bingo. You two came strolling in like you owned the place, and Ash was all, ‘They’re supposed to be here.’ Like it was normal or something.”
My stomach twists, the pieces of the puzzle clicking into place, but the picture they form makes no sense.
“What the hell is going on?” Ethan asks, running a hand through his hair. “Why are we all dreaming about Ash? And why the hell are we in each other’s dreams?”
“I don’t know,” I admit, my voice quiet. “But it’s not a coincidence. It can’t be.”
Everett nods, his brows furrowed. “It feels bigger than us. Like there’s something we’re not seeing.”
Ethan snorts, but there’s no humor in it. “Yeah, well, whatever it is, it’s messing with my head. I woke up feeling like-” He stops, his jaw tightening.
“Like what?” I press.
“Like I don’t want anyone else near her,” he says, his voice low. “Like she’s mine.”
The words hang in the air, suffocating us. I glance at Everett, and he looks just as shaken as I feel. Because I get it. I woke up with the same feeling.
“She said we’re connected,” Everett says, breaking the silence. “All of us. What if that’s true?”
Ethan scoffs, but it’s half-hearted. “Connected? What does that even mean? Like, we’re all supposed to share her or something? I don’t share, assholes.”
The thought makes my stomach churn, but I don’t have an answer. None of us do. All I know is that something’s happening, something we don’t understand. And Ash is at the center of it.
“What do we do?” Everett asks, his voice barely above a whisper.
I shake my head, my chest tightening with the weight of it all. “I don’t know,” I admit. “But we need to find her and figure it out. Fast.”
