Mated to alpha triplets at all-boys school Chapter 52
Ashley pov
The Professor’s voice keeps echoing in my mind, calling out the somewhat fake name that has become my identity for the time being.
As it does, memories of pain and betrayal fill my entire being, overwhelming me worse than ever before. I still can vividly remember the moment Kaiden announced that I wasn’t worthy of him.
In his eyes, surely, I’m still worse than dirt under his shoes, and while I claim I’m over the hurt he has caused, some of it still lingers to hit me in the moments I least expect.
No matter what, even if the pain fades, I know the memories will still last.
Anno senses my sudden change of mood and tries to soothe me with his presence by squeezing my hand and whispering, “don’t worry, I’m on the list for the same reasons - we have good grades and that asshat needs smart people around him. Without dorks like us, I doubt he could finish high school, let alone an Elite Academy. I’m here every step of the way, bad and good days. I got you.”
His words reassure me, even make me smile. And while I’m insanely grateful to have him, what makes the situation even better is the remark of the Professor before he leaves the room.
“I know many of you aren’t happy about this sudden development, you don’t need to hide it from me. However, let me remind you something - here, in this Academy, even the prince can not enjoy all the privileges. Of course, we shall change a thing or two to accommodate him, but if he wants to enter Elite Academy like ours, he has to rely on his own abilities. No matter how good the class we create for him, if the boy starts slacking, he won’t remain here for long.”
And with that being said, the Professor flashes us a smile and leaves.
His words make me sigh in relief. At least for a while, I surely won’t have to face Kaiden, if I took the Professor’s words correctly.
It seems that they are preparing for his arrival, doing everything in their power, but until he goes through the tests we already passed, he won’t be here. Fingers crossed he fails.
“Come on,” Anno squeezes my hand again. “You heard what the Professor said, everything isn’t as cold and gloomy as we initially assumed. Let’s focus on the positive stuff and get to the magic class. You enjoy those, don’t you?”
Finally, a genuine smile spreads across my lips. Anno is right, magic classes are the best - they’re always so fun and exciting, I tend to lose track of time whenever we’re learning new stuff.
At least there is something I can feel truly excited about.
What sweetens the deal is that soon after entering the class, I realize the triplets aren’t here. No more staring, taunting looks or uncomfortable situations!
After we take our seat, the Professor stands in front of the class and grins. “Students, today, I have something fun and exciting planned for you. Today, we will learn how to enter the fantasy world. Who’s excited?”
I can’t help but grin. Not because of the subject of the class, but the pure joy the Professor is radiating, even his little clapping of hands makes me stupidly happy.
“Okay, first I need everyone to sit down separately. You’ll need all the space you can get, just in case you decide to wave your hands around like baby birds,” the Professor giggles and tells everyone which seat to take.
When we’re all settled, he starts explaining the process. “Now, close your eyes and focus on your happy place. Whatever you build in your mind, just focus on it and take deep breaths. The more at ease you are, the easier it is to enter the fantasy. Silence, let’s try together.”

I can’t believe it at first, but suddenly, I stand in a quiet garden in the middle of the woods. The place looks man-made, but as wild as it comes in the most untouched areas.
I’m surrounded with nothing but trees and beautiful, blossoming plants and fresh air. The sunlight on my body feels like a soft, careful caress which is why I notice that I’m not wearing the regular school clothing.
Instead of it, I’m actually showing more skin, while not a dress, but something more feminine - a simple pair of shorts and a top.
This world gives me a sense of tranquility and peace, those things I seek the most in the days I’m having.
However, the euphoric mood is ruined when I hear Everett’s voice, coming from the depths of the woods, full of anger and raw tension.
He calls my name with such rage, I barely hold off the temptation to run away and hide somewhere he would never find me. Even the attempts to break out of this fantasy are unsuccessful.
So, I’m just left standing here, waiting for the storm to approach me.
I hold my breath when I notice Everett emerge from the woods. My eyes widen in horror as I realize how truly pissed off he is. Everett stalks towards me looking downright murderous, not a bit of nice thoughts in his mind.
When he stops in front of me, I suck in a sharp breath right when Everett grabs a hold of my upper arms and shakes me so violently, all thoughts leave my mind for good.
As if it’s not enough that I feel so damn uneasy with having Everett break into my fantasy land, his sudden attack also shocks me beyond all means.
“I’ve been looking for you all over the place. Why the hell are you hiding from me? Why are you hiding from us, huh? What did we ever do to make you push us away like this? Answer me!” He screams in my face. “Answer me, Ash!”
My bottom lip trembles, but I manage to swallow the cry of pain that threatens to escape me when Everett tightens his grip on me, so much so that his nails nearly pierce my skin.
I try to open my mouth and force out even one word, but since none come, I push my lips together and give up.
This seems to enrage Everett because his hold on me becomes downright torturous and more anger radiates off him. “I know you’re keeping secrets from me, Ash. It’s about time you man up and tell me what you are hiding. Why are you keeping those fucking secrets? Tell me!”
