They were right, these wolves were really wild. It seemed like they lived in the forest, and from the moment we approached what was supposed to be their territory, we were greeted unfriendly.

They not necessarily very big, but fierce, and for some strange reason they gave me a bad feeling, they didn't even turn into humans to talk to us.

"They have been living like this for centuries, away from the king. He couldn't handle them himself. If you can get them on our side, it could be a significant step forward," Balthazar told me.

"Stop," a man appeared from behind a tree.

He was dressed in dark colors and shirtless. I tried to keep my patience. I wasn't used to people telling me exactly what to do, let alone these wild and weak wolves.

"You can't pass, at least not all of you, this place is sacred," one said, and I noticed that they weren't very talkative, or at least they seemed to be saving too many words.

"What do you mean?"

"The vampire cannot pass, nor can those who have vampire blood," the man said.

Balthazar raised his arms in surrender and stepped back. I saw the demoness retreat as well, but the man motioned for her to stay.

"She can... these Alphas cannot. The woman can pass, too," they said, pointing at Jessica.

I had brought her as a sort of peace offering, since everyone knew that women did little and were not considered a threat.

I didn't understand how this wolf knew which alphas had taken vampire blood, but he had identified them correctly. I hadn't done it yet, honestly avoiding it as much as I could, even though I spoke of its benefits. I guess Ava's words had affected me deeply, and I didn't want the demons to have so much power over me.

We passed through the forest, which looked more and more like a jungle. The plants were getting bigger and the trees gigantic. We would be forever lost without this man guide.

As we passed, more and more wolves appeared. They had a special energy, as if they were truly powerful. I began to think that these were the allies we needed, and I was even more surprised when we reached a kind of training camp and there were hundreds of wolves.

"Having so many wolves at our disposal could be our success," said one of the Alphas who was with me. I believed it, too.

"Why has this wolf come?" said a huge man and I greeted him with respect.

"Alpha... I have come to speak with you, to make a proposal..." I said, and the man made a face.

"Then you will have to speak to her," he said, and I was surprised to see an older woman in simple clothes walking towards us.

As she walks, the wolves bowed respectfully, and I was surprised to see the demoness bow slightly to her.

"Luna Simone," the huge man said as he bowed and took her hand.

A Luna rules? That must be a joke, everyone knows that moons can't rule, they only serve to give us puppies, to have heirs, I thought, and the woman looked at me.

"I was told you wanted to talk to me, and I think I know what it's about," she said, motioning for us to go to a more private place. It was a room where you could see the sky.

I remained silent, not knowing what to say, as this was not what I had expected.

"I suppose you don't want to talk to a Luna," she said, as if she knew what I was thinking.

"Don't get me wrong, it's just that I'm used to talking to Alphas," I said, and I could see Ava's smile, as if she was enjoying all of this, seeing me humiliate myself so much.

"In packs, the one who is most capable should rule, and in this case, it is me," said the woman who seemed weak to me.

If I hadn't seen the number of wolves they had and their provisions, I would have turned around without thinking twice.

"You want my support for what is to come," she said, and I was beginning to think that this woman was a witch.

"We wish to change the order of things. We know that you, the free wolves, do not agree with the king who has abandoned and pressured us, dictating foolish rules that only benefit him and his Alpha friends. We want to free wolves from Maximus" I said, and she listened intently.

"We call on all strong wolves to create not a new kingdom, but a new empire," my Alpha friend said, and I smiled, for all these were things that would undoubtedly attract any wolf, but the free wolves seemed to want other things.

"We live in peace, we don't need wars. But we know that there is a prophecy," she said, and I couldn't hide my astonished face when I saw that she knew about the prophecy.

"The wolves of the kingdom are not the only ones who know about the prophecy, Alpha. It is something legendary, and I understand it has to do with Red Moon, your pack. That's why I let you enter my pack"

"That's right, it has to do with me and my Luna" I said, and I moved Jessica with force, who didn't look very sure, and the Luna watched her for a while.

"The lady is a wolf and has an important role in the coming war, but she is not the Luna we are waiting for," the woman said, and I got angry.

"And what the hell do you know? Have you been hiding here, waiting for the prophecy of my pack? I represent Red Moon! I am the one you are waiting for..." I said, snarling, and the Luna seemed unmoved.

"Red Moon is your pack, but what we are waiting for the prophecy," she said, and I couldn't hide my anger.

These ignorant wolves!

"You can stay here with us until tomorrow. The forest is a dangerous place," the woman said as if to end the conversation. She didn't even give me a chance to explain my plan.

"Tomorrow, Luna Simone will talk to you more about this matter," the huge man said as we left.

"We need them…I believe here are thousands of wolves, warriors," the other Alphas told me, and I could feel it too. There was something truly magical and ancient here.

"If we can convince them, I'm sure the rest of the packs that are still doubting will be with us."

"It's because they are in tune with nature. They are wild, as you say, but they are also wiser," the demoness told me, and everything made me even more angry.

"I don't understand why they let you pass..."

"Because they trust women more than men, which is logical," she said, and I approached her and grabbed her by the neck.

"Well, you're going to help me find their weakness, and we're going to use it to get them on our side, whether they like it or not."
