"Come with me, bring your nice ass over here and help me with these savages" I say to Ava.

I have to admit that she seems to be making an effort to at least pretend to help me. I don't know if it's to save her own skin or because the amulet is finally working, but she seems to be starting to listen to me.

"How? You heard it yourself. They're focused on getting the human Luna" she adds.

"You boast that I don't know anything and that I'm a rat and a fool. So why don't you share your wisdom with me?"

"Why don't you take care of convincing that stupid Luna herself that her people need to support me?" I say and see a hint of doubt in her face.

"And how am I supposed to do that?" she replies with her typical arrogance, and I grab her by the neck.

"You said yourself that they trust women, and that stupid Luna even more. They believe in that nonsense about the power of women. So, be my ambassador, negotiate with her. I'll get what I want, and you'll have a chance to prove that you're on my side. It's a win-win," I say, and she and I both know that she can't back out.

"All right, I'll do my best..."

"No, no... you'll get their support, or I'll tell your brothers that you've become a traitor."

When we meet Luna Simone again, I see her surprise when I take a step back and let the demoness lead the conversation.

"An interesting change, Alpha," she says with a smile.

I thought the demoness was a fool... but maybe I underestimated her. The demoness speaks with ease and seems to have negotiating skills, qualities I never thought a woman would have, though let's agree she's not a real woman.

"Luna, I think we didn´t spoke properly yesterday," she says and I growl. I don't like to hear that I did something wrong, but Luna's expression changes, and that's why I let it go.

And at the same time, what Alpha Randall says is true: a war is coming and everyone wants to be on the winning side. But right now I'm telling you that I met this Luna. "Is that true?" Luna Simone asks in surprise.

"It is true. We don't have much proof of her power, but she managed to prevent an attack on the castle. She also has two destined mates, two Alphas," Luna is impressed.

"Two Alphas... when have anyone ever heard of that?"

"Alpha Randall is fighting for her, and I guarantee you he will have the human and all the power. I know we have our differences with the free people, but I would recommend you to join our side," the demoness says, and Luna Simone thinks for a while.

After that, there were tactical questions and more details, but with every question Luna asked, I realized that we were winning.

"I think we have an agreement, Alpha. We will help you, and as a compensation, we will have these lands and all those surrounding the valley. We won't be under anyone's power, but we will cooperate" she says.

I'm not sure the demons will keep their promises. So I accept. Maybe they'll all die in the war.

"We will, Luna. But to show your loyalty, I ask you to give me 200 of your best warriors," I say. If she thought she could trick me, she'll have to think again.

"So be it, Alpha," she says, and I leave with a great victory. I see Luna saying goodbye to the demoness, and they seem to be on good terms.

I smile from ear to ear as we enter the forest and are introduced to the 200 warriors.

"What the hell is this?" I ask when I see that a good part of them are women.

"Our Luna accepted your offer of the best warriors... here are the best warriors," says the tall man who had accompanied us at the beginning.

"But they're women! They're stupid women!" I say angrily.

When we come back to our camp, I saw Balthazar talking to Ava, he grabs her arm and they argue.

"Is everything okay here?" I ask, and the vampire lets go of her immediately.

"Sorry, Alpha. We've been informed that one of the Whisperers has been kidnapped."

"Kidnapped? How is that possible?"

"I don't know, but I asked our supposed ally here if she had anything to do with it..."

"I've been here the whole time..." she replies.

"Right... besides, she's going to be staying with me in my tend for a while, right?" I say, taking her hand, and she really seems to want to get away from the vampire, because she comes with me.
