Werewolf
Sold by my Alpha, bought by my Mate Chapter 43: A movie-like date
Asher
"Where were we going?" she asked excitedly.
She seemed happy to be back at the castle, glad to see Ava and Jeremiah again. I was sure it was because she felt safe there. I also wanted to believe it was because she would be with me for the next few days.
"I promised you a human date, and we were going to have one," I answered with a smile as we drove out of the king's territory on a lonely road that seemed to lead nowhere.
"Is it a formal place? I know some of the wolves, especially the alphas, came out of the territory and gathered, and they used to be very well dressed. I just don't want to look out of place," she asked a little nervously.
I quickly ran my eyes over her body, especially her bare arms and the legs sticking out of her dress.
I had been staring at her from the moment she appeared in her dress. It was one of the ones I had bought for her and it was my favorite; it looked like hers as well.
It was sleeveless with a skirt that came a little below the knee in a pink shade. The dress had a little bow in the back and little straps that rested on her shoulders.
Mentally, I imagined how to remove them, how they slid down her arms, and how to undress her as quickly as possible.
"Ohhh believe me, my mate... you would have looked perfect anywhere. You look especially beautiful today..." I said, almost purring.
"But I know you're asking all these questions to get an idea of where we're going... it was a surprise though," I said. We drove along contentedly until we came to a small town.
"Welcome to Belle Springs, a quiet human town that hid many secrets," I said, opening the door for her and helping her down. We entered a small, cozy restaurant and were greeted by a man.
"Dear Alpha Asher, how nice to have you here," he said.
"Thank you, Mr. Jack. I wanted to introduce you to my mate," I replied, he was very excited and gave us a nice table facing the forest.
"Is he human?" she asked, surprised when we were already seated and had ordered.
"That's right... this town was attacked by enemy packs during the last war. They learned everything about our world and helped us. The Luna from the nearby pack... she's human," I said, taking her hand and her eyes lit up.
"This is amazing...," she said, looking everywhere where there were wolves and humans.
"I know you've had a rough couple of days, getting back to your pack couldn't have been easy at all, and I hope we never had to go back," I said, kissing her knuckles and watching her blush. I loved it.
"It was even harder than I thought..." she replied without elaborating.
"Then stay here with me, right now, you and I on our human date. From what I've seen in the movies, I'd be nervous about making a very good impression on you right now," I said, and she looked surprised.
"Have you seen human romance movies?" she asked.
"I had to do some research..." I confessed.
"And are you nervous?" she asked, and I took each of her fingers and gave them a gentle kiss.
"My dearest Millie... I was always nervous when I was with you. Even when I thought about you," I replied, and she let out a gasp.
"I am nervous too..." she confessed, and I was fascinated that she told me these things.
"Then I think we're on the right track...," I replied.
"So what would be the next step?" she asked, and I sighed.
"There's no big consensus on that, but in general, we would talk about our lives and what we liked," I answered.
She and I talked about so many things; she told me more about her life in the pack, and I wanted to know everything. Suddenly, I stood up and held out my hand to her, inviting her to dance.
"Shall we dance?" I asked.
"Really?"
"Of course, it's an important part of a human date," I answered, taking her hand, and within seconds, we were in the middle of the restaurant.
I put my hand on her waist and took her other small hand in mine; she was much smaller than me, but all in all, we managed it. Dancing had never been something that appealed to me, but I had to admit that it felt fantastic.
"You know, I don't really know how to dance; I never had that kind of social activity in the pack... I didn't even watch many movies. The ones I was able to know about were because I watched them secretly in the pack house. But they found me watching and kicked me out... I never went back," she confessed sadly, and I pulled her closer.
"I'm so sorry you had to go through that, my mate. Really, Red Moon is a pack that doesn't deserve you. Besides... too many strange things happen," I admitted, but she surprised me with another confession.
"Asher... I think strange things are happening too," she told me.
She spoke of Randall talking alone in the dark, of what Luna Brenda told her; we talked again about the earring we found in her room... I felt her opening up to me more and more.
I stayed thoughtful and hugged her, and we continued to the slow music, my hand caressing her back while she put her hands on my chest, and we stayed like that hugging.
"Thank you for telling me, Millie... we are keeping an eye on everything," I confirmed.
I got the impression that she hadn't told me everything, but it was a good hint, just like I hadn't told her everything I knew.
"What does this prophecy mean?" she asked quizzically.
"I don't quite understand it either. Apparently, Red Moon believes that it is destined to become a really powerful pack with the help of the moon, or her Luna. But like all prophecies... it's not easy to understand," I confessed and took the opportunity to give her some twists that had nothing to do with music, but she smiled at my bold moves.
We ended the evening with a delicious dessert, and I took her by the hand into the woods to watch the full moon.
When I felt that she was shivering, I embraced her with my body, savoring the scent on her neck. I had the strangely feeling that everything would be all right.
When we returned to the castle, I left her in Ava's room. She had been sleeping there since yesterday while we had our meetings, and apparently, the demoness wanted to be with her for a while.
I felt a pang in my heart as I had dreamed of holding her in my arms tonight. I had imagined how her soft skin felt against mine; I had wanted to kiss her in intimacy; I had wanted to confess to her alone all that she made me feel.
With everything that had happened at Red Moon... I had realized that the present was what we had. And I didn't want to let another day pass without telling her everything I felt for her.
