Werewolf
Sold by my Alpha, bought by my Mate Chapter 164: Last day of fear
Jeremiah
"I've never seen anything like this before..." I said as I approached Asher and Mildred. He was now fully in his human form. He seemed a bit lost, as if he couldn't believe what had happened.
"Neither could I..." he replied.
"And I mean in many ways... you really are an incomparable couple. A human Luna with powers... who made a wolf very powerful," I told them, and they looked at me in surprise.
"The prophecy..." she said.
"You are the one who had to choose, you are really the one who would make a very powerful Alpha, and it seems to me that we haven't seen all that each of you can do yet," I told her.
"I just want to be with you..." she whispered to Asher and he hugged her as if he couldn't believe she was at his side.
"Randall..." I asked.
"He left... I made him understand all the damage he had caused, and his suffering was real. I believed that his death would not help in any way. He had to stay here to see what had happened, the damage he'd done, and also to close this cycle of madness and violence between the packs. Red Moon deserves a better fate, we all do," she said with conviction.
"You were very wise, Luna..." I confessed.
"I'm glad this is over," Asher said as several warriors approached him.
"Big Alpha..." they said and bowed to Asher, who seemed surprised.
"Please, gentlemen... we all did our part here. I just had an outstanding debt with my enemy," Asher said, trying not to give much importance to the matter, but to me, it was inevitable.
An invincible Alpha, I thought. A big Alpha.
"I don't know what this is all about. I thought it was because I saw her in danger, but I don't really understand what happened," he confessed.
"I think the young lady did much, much more than help the king defeat the demons: she unleashed all of her power, built a bridge between the two worlds, a true dreamer. And with that, I believe... you also built a bridge between your wolf and yourself," I explained, and everyone seemed confused.
"We will have time to see," I said, holding both their hands.
"We have to take care of you, my love..." he said as we suddenly heard approaching footsteps.
"Be careful!" I shouted.
For a while it seemed as if there were battalions surrounding the castle, so many things were happening that I felt something was slipping away from me, and unfortunately that seemed to be it.
But I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was Alpha Dimitri approaching, followed by several Alphas and warriors.
"Alphas..." I said, surprised.
"Friends, we have brought help. When I saw that the demons were attacking everywhere, I went with my warriors to find our allies, who were already on their way. When we returned, we wiped out several vampires, rogues and hybrids. We did a considerable amount of cleaning up. All areas of the castle have been secured. We have already spoken with Alpha Nathaniel and Alpha Shum, the enemy is completely destroyed," said Alpha Dimitri.
"Also... we found something else on the way," the Alpha said, signaling for another Alpha to appear.
"Alpha Julius..." I said, seeing that there were trucks with hundreds of warriors with tools, food and water behind them. They had really come to help, but I was even more surprised when a woman, a Luna, appeared among the Alphas.
"Gentlemen... Luna..." the woman said, making a small bow to Luna Mildred.
"Luna Simone..." she said as if she knew them, and they both smiled.
"We have come for you," the woman said.
"You helped us, you keep the roads open" Asher said, greeting them.
"I kept my word, Alpha, and you kept yours... and now you will bring peace and prosperity to all. The human Luna has the power to change the entire kingdom," said Luna Simone, and all her warriors bowed to Mildred and Asher.
"And we also did something else... we have a prisoner..." she adds, and I was impressed to see that it was one of the demons.
"He is the last one left. We killed them all, and even the one who was a prisoner was burned, apparently by the king" I explained.
The demon was agitated and seemed weakened. He had been completely captured, and the news that all his brothers had died weakened him even more.
"Come through here..." I said, pointing to all the doors and organizing where help was needed.
Suddenly, there was a great deal of movement at all the entrances to the castle, and I finally felt like I could breathe again.
"Ava..." I approached to find the king and found him with her.
"Little vampire..." she said happily.
"Your Majesty..." I said, taking a better look at him, though he was coughing and seemed a bit weak, he was fine. Ava did not leave his side.
"Thank you, my friend... you were magnificent to the end."
"I have to say I didn't do much. If it wasn't for Ava, Luna Mildred and Asher... I don't know what would have happened to us." I confess.
"Everybody did a good job. We have had losses, but the King has also united us," she said.
"That's very true..." I confirmed.
"We must travel the length and breadth of the kingdom to see if there are any new subversives. We must root out evil at its source. I should have left the castle and faced my enemies and those who would do us harm. If I had done what you told me, none of this would have happened," he said, his hand shaking. I took it.
"There will be time for that, and I will do it myself," I affirmed, and he smiled.
"Rest, master... new battles will come, and we need you strong," Ava said, caressing his face.
"You go with your wolf... I know you have seen him several times and that he is not well. Don't waste your time with me, dear... he needs you too," the king said, making me smile. He was never more generous than with her and his closest.
Duncan was on the verge of death, but I had given him my blood, and though it wouldn't keep him alive forever, it gave him a chance for his wolf to act.
I knew the relationship between him and the demoness was strange, but no doubt something attracted her enough to keep her thinking about him.
"I will..." she said, saying goodbye and leaving.
"A new kingdom will come, my friend... you will help me. And Asher too... maybe he really is the greatest alpha... I heard what he did. Maybe he is stronger than anyone," Maximus said, as if he was rethinking his whole life.
But I knew what the Alpha wanted, and I also knew that the King's destiny was simply to rule.
"You will do it, and we will all support you. Now follow Ava's advice, a new time will come to strengthen the realm, and you and I will see it become a reality," I said.
Nathaniel gave orders throughout the castle, tending to the wounded and preparing to bury the dead.
The castle had fallen, but today was the last day of fear.
Tomorrow will be a new day.
