My wolf had made a life plan that included only two things: to protect, love, and care for our mate. And second, to take Randall down.

Just knowing that he had touched her and demanded what she should wear and treated her like crap...filled me with hate.

Millie looked shaky, and I didn't like that she trusted the demon so much. But she had fought back, she had courage, and she had been smart.

"She was a real Luna...now let's finish this scumbag off," Cormac said, and I went after Randall even though they were holding me down.

"You fucking bastard, I was going to chop you up and make you eat all your parts!" I yelled at him.

Randall was still wounded, he seemed to have escaped from the doctor, no doubt he wanted to reach Millie, but I wasn't going to let him abuse her again.

I kicked him, and he fell to the ground, and when he got up and pretended to hit me, I punched him in the stomach. He fell to his knees and cried.

"I look forward to the day when I could kill you with my bare hands... and I swore I would have not only her... but your fucking vicious pack," I whispered and he roared.

"Did she tell you how I touched her? How I spanked her nice ass? She had a pretty ass for such a skinny girl... or did she tell you how she liked to feel the size of my...?" he said, but I didn't let him finish when I kicked him in the face, hoping to break a few of his teeth.

"Alpha Asher!"

"Moon goddess!" the doctor said as the warriors pulled me apart. I watched as they took him away, and he spat up blood.

"It was supposed to spit out his organs, asshole!" Cormac screamed.

I swore I wanted to destroy him, and I couldn't blame it all on my wolf anymore.

"Alpha... you promised us that you would control your wolf..." Constantine said very seriously.

The king controlled everything, but Constantine was in charge of the details and making sure his orders were carried out. He was a reliable and very serious man.

"I know, but ... my mate."

"I can understand that, Alpha... but you know there's a bigger problem here. It wasn't just Randall, what do you think would happen if men like him ruled all of us?" he said, just thinking about it made my heart race.

"It would be... hell," Jeremiah said.

"I promised to help His Majesty and I will..." I said, and they nodded.

"Anyway... I have thought of a sanction for Alpha Randall, one that befits you. You'll be with your mate for the next three days and three nights. I hope you can take advantage of it," finally, good news.

I started to make a plan with my beta. I couldn't sleep because I was so happy.

When I saw her at breakfast, she looked calmer, especially since Randall was not there. She was eating better, and I hoped she was getting healthier.

Jeremiah explained the situation to her, and she looked at me with fear, but at least she was not trying to run away.

Ava came to me for a moment while my mate went to collect his belongings.

"Alpha... I don't like Randall, of course, especially since he wants to overthrow my king. But I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of yours either. Sure, you are a better choice than that jerk, but... Little Thing is special. She's small but strong. Treat her well… or I will make you bleed in more ways than you think," she said in a clear threat, and Cormac roared.

"I don't like your tone, or you... but someone who cares about Millie is someone good," I said, and she smiled.

My precious mate was waiting for me with a leather backpack. This time I didn't reach out to her or try to make contact, and she stayed a few steps away from me.

I could hear how fast her heart was beating and also how she took deep breaths... I think she liked my scent.

"I want to show you something. I don't want you to be trapped in my room, so I thought you might like to see the castle," I told her.

I told her a little bit about everything, about the armor and what era each thing came from; I noticed that she already seemed very entertained looking at the paintings and artwork.

"She's amazing..." said Cormac like a little puppy in love.

Millie looked very excited when we got to the gardens and saw the fountains and flowers. It was the first time I had seen her smile and it was so fantastic!

We just stood still as we walked, and I could feel her getting closer and closer to me. The bond worked, thanks to the Goddess.

"There's something else I wanted to show you... it's a gift, but only if you want it," I told her, and she seemed to get nervous; she must have been thinking about Randall's stupid gift. Damn asshole.

But when she saw a painting easel in a corner of the garden, with a canvas and various paints and brushes... she froze.

"Do you like it? I saw your paintings, very nice ones about the woods, and I thought... maybe you would like...," I said, and she looked transfixed.

She seemed lost in emotion, and I saw a small tear in her eye. I slowly approached her, trying not to frighten her, and brushed it away from her face with a gentle movement. Her eyes were big and sparkling, and her beauty overwhelmed me.

Her skin was soft and wonderful, and for a while, I stood close to her, watching as she detailed her gift and began to paint the garden.

I didn't think I'd ever been so happy in my entire life.

When we went to sleep, I was happy to see that she had chosen one of my t-shirts and a jogging suit that I bought her. Suddenly, I saw her writing in her notebook and she showed it to me.

"Thanks for the gift," I smiled like an idiot.

"Is there anything else you want to do? I'll do it," I told her, and she looked happy, but tried to hide it. She wrote something down and handed it back to me.

"You want to take self-defense classes with Ava?" I was stunned.

I thought she was going to ask me something else. Of course, I didn't like it; I didn't want to see her hurt or in pain.

"It's okay... only if I can participate," I told her, and she agreed.

I watched her sleep and thought that tomorrow I would be much closer to her, and my wolf was delighted just at the thought. Two days left with her.

She looked restless, as if she were having intense dreams. And... I didn't want to dream about her, because I had her here.

My mate, at last.
