Werewolf
Sold by my Alpha, bought by my Mate Chapter 145: The superior hybrids

"Damn it! Jeremiah is lost in there and I can't see a thing. It literally looks like a white cloak that even light can't penetrate."
"The enemy is attacking all the doors in the castle, Alpha," Alpha Nate tells me. "Alpha Dimitri has already gone to another door, and too many things are happening. No matter what we do, it won't be enough."
"Well, we have no choice but to get to work," I say. Constantine is protecting the king, and I trusted that Duncan was by my side.
"I will go to where the explosion happened," I say.
"I will go with you, Alpha, and so will my warriors," says Alpha Shum.
"I will go with Jeremiah to the fog. Come with me, Moonstone Warriors," my friend Nathaniel says, and he leaves with his group. I watch from the balcony as they enter the fog and disappear as if it were a solid wall.
"Let's go," I say to my warriors and Shum. We head for the door where we heard the first sounds and explosions. When we reach the west wing, it is complete chaos.
"Control the fire! Don't let them through!" I hear the warriors yelling frantically.
What I saw was that the wall protecting the castle had almost completely collapsed. There was debris and bricks everywhere, and in front of it, a frenzied group of hybrids were fighting with all their might to get in.
"Alphas, thank goodness you've arrived!" the king's warriors said as we moved forward and crossed the opening to reach where they were attacking.
"Stay back! Evacuate the west wing!" Shum shouted as Cormac took control.
My wolf felt liberated at last. The war had been whispering in our ears for so long; the need to protect what was ours, the safety of our mate, the need for vengeance and justice ruled us.
The hybrids seemed as uncontrollable and violent as ever. But as soon as they saw us arrive, I thought I saw fear in their eyes, as if they knew the game was up and a truly determined opponent had arrived to finish them off.
"Get him!" they shouted at me, and I landed directly on several of them, dodging the creatures' teeth. The demons had created hordes and hordes of hybrids; they were very ill-organized, but there were many, with more on the way.
Suddenly, I found myself facing even stronger and larger hybrids, huge ones. Behind me, I could hear my men and Alpha Shum's fighting with all their might, while my wolf assessed the new opponent before us.
"There's something strange here, those men…" Cormac told me, and I felt it too.
"Fire at them now!" the warriors behind me shouted, and I saw fire arrows fall directly on the hybrids.
We had already tested this in the previous attack during the eclipse, and several of them were already running around like human torches, burning.
"These are no ordinary wolves," Cormac told me, and when the first of these giant hybrids lunged at me, I confirmed his words. The hybrid dodged my bites, and as it shoved me, I fell rolling to the ground.
"They're betas, gammas, warriors... and even some alphas," I thought in amazement. The one in front of me who had hit me smiled with a bloody grin.
“Can not be…” Cormac whisper.
What the hell were the demons doing? No doubt, they had been playing at being some kind of gods. They had dared to play with species more and more. I turned back into a human and talked to them.
"You really have no shame; you have given yourself completely to the demons and their perverted desires, bastards!" I said to the men, and they laughed.
They were incredibly strong, with well-developed muscles, protruding veins, and extremely sharp teeth, they were beasts.
"Is this from the Alpha who has given body and soul to the one who claims to be the King of the Wolves, even though that wolf has done nothing for us? Really? You are pathetic Alpha…" the hybrid replied, lunging at me as I tried to dodge his blows.
"At least he is one of us and will not turn against his kind. Instead, you know very well that the demons are capable of betraying you," I replied to the men as they growled.
"The demons have promised us lands and mates, much more than the king ever offered," another replied, and I realized they had been completely bought off.
"There are some who are alphas," Alpha Shum appeared behind me with a fire torch, and I saw the hybrids' eyes glow.
"The castle and the king will be ours, and we will finally have everything we have been denied," the men replied as they came at us.
In my human form, I struck and fought with them as I watched my friend Alpha fight skillfully. Suddenly I felt a strong blow that knocked me down, and I hit a tree, my head ringing.
The hybrid who had once been an Alpha approached me victoriously.
"You are traitors, a disgrace to Alphas," I shouted, while the man seemed completely satisfied.
"This is what happens when we drink a lot of vampire blood. At first, I didn't like it and found it shameful, but the strength and power I have is like nothing I've ever felt before, and just for that it's worth it," the man said, undoubtedly feeling invincible.
"Yes, but you sacrificed your wolf for it, and it is a loss too heavy, as you will see," I say, and Cormac assumes control, and we go straight for the man's neck.
Yes, they have vampire blood, but a wolf's teeth are deadly, and as I feel my bites tear through his skin and muscles, the man screams and cries.
"Tell your men to leave, right now!" I say, placing a foot on his chest as the hybrid clutches his neck with his hands, trying to control the wound.
"I will never...I can…" he says, choking on his own blood. And just when I think it's the end, other strong hybrids appear and have taken Alpha Shum.
"Stop... or the Alpha dies..." they said.
No!
"Don't do it, Asher..." Shum tells me, but I know I have no choice, I can not sacrifice him.
As I feel them kick me and fall heavily to the ground, I feel a cold voice, an icy air and a voice whispering to me, as unpleasant as if thousands of insects were crawling over me.
"A weak and merciful Alpha... that will be your weakness and your death, Alpha."
"Go to the castle!" I hear voices and a horde of hybrids advancing violently.
