Werewolf
Sold by my Alpha, bought by my Mate Chapter 116: Most memorable
Asher
"Somehow we already knew. We knew that they would go against all the Alphas," I said.
"Not only that, but other creatures will try to go after all the powerful people and, of course, as a final goal to further secure their place: Your Majesty," Jeremiah said. Maximus sighs.
"What I didn't see coming is that this oddly sounds like some sort of revenge against Hell. It seems these creatures have nothing to lose," the king said.
"If they were banished from Hell, as Ava suggested, they will come with everything, playing on the weaknesses of every wolf, vampire, and rogue, promising them whatever they want and taking whatever they can in the end," the vampire said.
"All-powerful beings... that also means... Millie" I asked, frightened.
"Anyone who wants to win this war, needs her. They know that as long as she is on our side... we will get a glimpse of their plans, and they must have realized by now that her brother is missing," the king said, and I trembled.
It wasn't enough that Randall wanted her, but one of the most dangerous creatures on earth had her as a target. Suddenly, I felt the king's hand on my shoulder, and he looked at me gravely.
"We won't let anything happen to her. From now on... she will have my same protection status," he said, and everyone was surprised. It wasn't usual.
"Her protection will be top priority; she can give orders and the castle will obey," Constantine reported. Incredible.
"Thank you, Your Majesty..." I said, not knowing what else to say.
When we finished the meeting, we went to the room with Millie's paintings. She was there, still painting, and I hugged her.
"I don't understand what Randall has to do with any of this, why he is so important for these demons" my beta said, and it was an excellent question. Jeremiah replied.
"I dare say that even though Asher is the mate of Miss, the one who really decides who will be the powerful Alpha of the prophecy... it's you Luna. Maybe they think they can change fate and that if they empower Randall and have Luna Mildred, they can win the war," he explained, and I growled.
"They won't succeed," my Beta told me.
"I won't change my mind..." Millie says and I kiss her.
Jeremiah studied my mate's paintings with great devotion, as if he were an expert.
"Miss... you are truly talented, not only for being able to see the future... but your works are exquisite," Jeremiah said, looking at the latest piece. In it, I am in the forest, with wolves behind me, and it seems that I am preparing for a fight.
"You flatter me, Jeremiah," she said, smiling.
"I told her she could dedicate to paint, to have a successful career," I said and she blushed.
"Indeed... look at the details, they are wonderful. They are so well done that I think I recognize some of the wolves."
"Really?" she asked in amazement.
"Yes, the free wolves... those behind the trees, and I think they are also looking for you, Luna. And these... are the ones they used to call themselves The Renegades..." he said, looking at a piece next to her, there were some men, very pale.
"Who are they?" my mate asked.
"They are wolves without souls, my love... because they do not believe in mates or in the designs of the Goddess," I said, and she was surprised.
"I am sorry to say that big Alpha is right... when a wolf from this pack finds his or her mate... he o she rejects them immediately. Some just take another mate to go against the grain," Jeremiah said, and I felt a chill.
"Then... they don't respond to Your Majesty," she said.
"No, that is why they are the most likely allies of our enemies" Jeremiah explains.
Over the next few days, there will be countless preparations, mainly to gather allies and also to gain new ones, there will be luxurious dinners, and we will see many new and familiar faces.
Unfortunately, the plans to go to my pack with my mate were already gone, and if there was a chance for her to be safe and well, it was under the King's supervision.
She is much better, but I still watched over her the whole time. She had meetings with the king where they talked, but they didn't have any more of those painful sessions.
Soon there were meetings at the castle with our most precious allies. There were alphas, but also vampires from the major clans who had been invited by the king and persuaded by Jeremiah. And I did not like to see that everyone was very attentive to my mate.
"So she's the human Luna everyone's talking about," a vampire suddenly said as my Luna appeared in the castle hall. She was wearing a simple pearl-colored dress, and I growled at the sight of her.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Ajax; some would say my clan is the most important," he said, taking my mate's hand, and I growled.
"I'm Luna Millie of River Ash," she said, and the man smiled as he looked at me.
"So it's true, you found your fated Luna," the man said. He had wavy auburn hair and a captivating smile. I had known him for years, and every time I saw him, I disliked him more.
"That's right. And you know how awe wolves are with our mates," I said, taking her by the waist, and the vampire laughed.
"I know very well. You Luna... are so charming. They say you alone, can start a war," the vampire said.
"We're here to prevent a war, sir, not start one," she replies and now I smile like an idiot.
The evening passed; the rumor that she had powers had already spread. As much as we avoided it, no one knew exactly what it was, only that Randall was capable of anything for her, that she was valuable.
"Even some say Randall already has his Luna," someone said, and others talked about Randall's reckless advances. I didn't like any of it. By the end of this first meeting, I'm exhausted and annoyed in our room.
"You're in a bad mood," she says.
"I know we're together, Millie, but I don't think you can understand how my wolf feels when he sees those men watching you, wanting you for themselves, wondering about you."
"No, I really don't know, I've never attracted a man..." I can't believe it.
"That must be a mistake," I tell her, but she shakes her head.
"Then they're all blind. Thanks to the Goddess," she laughs.
"Maybe I go unnoticed, I'm not memorable," she says, putting her hands on my neck.
"I can assure you that's not true. You captivate everyone," I tell her, and she gives me a mischievous look.
"Even my mate forgot a promise I made to him..." she says, blushing, and I feel a quiver in my chest.
"I didn't forget, my mate. You told me I could have you any way I wanted. And I've given you time to recover, but don't think for a moment that I'm going to let that go..." I whisper hoarsely.
I start kissing her and take off her beautiful dress, her shoes and rip off her underwear.
"You don't know how long I've been waiting for this,"
I run my hands all over her body, and as I kiss her neck... while she confesses something I never thought I'd hear.
"I dreamed about... what you would do to me..."
