I was very happy to share good news with my mate when suddenly I was faced with such chaos.

What hurt me the most was that she doubted me, that she doubted my love and devotion, that she thought I was with other women. I knew I was much better than Randall, but that wasn't enough for me.

If it wasn't clear that I loved her and would give my life for her...then the problem wasn't her. I just hadn't done enough to show her all my love.

I was speechless to see her so frightened and doubtful, her clothes torn to shreds on the floor, and I wanted to do the impossible, to bring down the moon if necessary, to make her believe me. For better or worse, these girls were talking, and we had caught them in the act.

"So? I wanted you to tell me exactly who put this idea into your head," I said as the women trembled. Another time I would have been merciful, but now I was filled with anger.

"Alpha... we were so sorry, it was a mistake..." they said, throwing themselves to the ground, kneeling, feeling my aura.

"Tell me now! Who did this damage to my room?" I shouted.

"We didn't know, Alpha... we only knew that a girl told us that you had rolled the information that you desperately needed a mate... before returning to your pack..."

"You all thought to introduce yourselves without doing proper research...," I said in annoyance.

"We are so sorry! We swore this woman had good information, she seemed to know him... and we..."

"Who is this woman?" I said, bending down to face one of them, who was shaking.

They were young, some of them had administrative duties and others had more of a service role in the castle. I knew that all of Her Majesty's staff were very important, but I wasn't going to stand for this.

"She was young... From a different pack..."

"What was her name?"

"I think Jessica... Joselin..."

"She didn't tell us her name right... we didn't know her well," another said, trying to help.

"I need you to bring her to me as soon as you see her. And the next time I hear you say those cruel things, I'll speak to the king and have you thrown out and you'll never find another pack in your life," I said, and they were shaking.

"Alpha... I was sure they weren't guilty," Duncan said and I looked at him angrily. He was probably right, but I couldn't help it.

"Ladies, please avoid a repeat of this if you don't want to face unpleasant consequences, spread the word that this is unacceptable," my Beta said in a calm voice.

"And let everyone know that I already had a mate... the girl you had been talking so bad about, my Luna," I said, pulling Millie into my arms.

"We were so sorry, Alpha and Luna..." they said as my mate looked at them with embarrassment.

"I don't think it was their fault either..." she said softly as I stroked her hair.

"I'll forget all about it if you help me by getting this woman...and I want the room picked up immediately," I said, and they would rush out to fix everything so it would be done in minutes.

When I walked into my room, Millie was standing in the doorway, not knowing what to do.

"I think I'd leave you two alone.... I'd do some research," Duncan said and left, closing the door behind him. I thought she was going to insist that she didn't believe me, but she came up to me, very shaken.

"I...I'm sorry...I didn't mean to mistrust you," she said as I knelt before her and took her hands.

"There was nothing to forgive. I was concerned that you distrusted me...not because the evidence was particularly strong, but because of what you believed.... Tell me what was wrong?" I asked her, and she looked nervous and on the verge of tears.

"It's just that they were right...you were a magnificent Alpha, not only attractive...but good, gentle, intelligent, powerful..." she said, and it seemed like all that was bad.

"I only cared about what you thought..." I told her, caressing her face.

"I'm just a human with nothing special, orphaned, alone, rejected, hated by my pack..." she said and my heart broke.

The problem was not what she thought of me, but what she thought of herself.

"I didn't see any of that, I saw an amazing, strong, brave woman who faced many problems and solved them and survived. A beautiful woman who took my breath away the first moment I saw her, a woman for whom I would fight an Alpha and a thousand more warriors, just because you laid your eyes on me. I was the one who should have shown you how important you were to me, and for that I asked for your forgiveness," I told her, and she cried at my words.

"You proved it, it's just that..."

"Mate... what Duncan said is true. I had been waiting for you for years, I knew I would have a wonderful mate... although I must say my expectations were far exceeded. I had killed just because someone spoke ill of you, even without knowing you. You were perfect...please never doubt it," I told her now, hugging her, and she hugged me back, stroking my hair.

"You were too good to be true..." she said, and I turned to look at her.

"That's exactly what I thought of you," I said, picking her up and sitting on the bed with her on top of me.

"I missed you so much," she said, caressing my face and I gave her soft kisses.

"And I missed you. I came with excellent news before all this happened...I had spent days discussing it and struggling to make it happen."

"What was that?"

"That I was going to keep my promise...we were going to my pack. The place where I was sure you were always meant to be," I told her and she looked happy already. I kissed her even harder while squeezing her against my body.

The kiss got more and more intense, and I started to get horny almost immediately, she was driving me crazy.

"See what you're provoking in me, my little mate...that's how you have me...completely at your feet," I told her, stroking her ass against my crotch, and she let out a gasp.

"And now my shirts, your pajamas are torn. It looks like you're going to have to sleep in very little clothing tonight..."
