Asher harassed me, the vampire kept an eye on me, I knew he had warriors after me... I also knew there were some inconsistencies in my story, nothing was perfect.

But with all that, it seemed to me that my act had been masterful. I had done my job masterfully. Well, it hadn't been my idea, nor was it my plan.

I had to admit that although I had been in a coma for days, my whole body ached while I was semi-conscious, and I still didn't understand exactly what had happened... what the Whisperers and my allies had planned... had worked, perfectly.

I was dimly aware that my mate had been with me all along. And when I heard a rumbling outside, screams, cries of attack and desperation... it was as if something inside me activated and I jumped to my feet.

"It's time Alpha, you have to go get what we asked for..." I heard them whisper to me.

"But how am I supposed to do that? They'll be after me..." I answered automatically. But as soon as I opened the door to the infirmary, I realized.... I really had a clear path.

There was a bestial onslaught of possessed-looking vampires and violent rogues tearing the warriors apart as more and more soldiers arrived.

The battalion my allies had sent was like a great red tide, filling every passageway with blood and despair, collapsing the castle, leaving no area clean and untouched.

But it seemed to me that they didn't even see me, I walked carefully, cautious that no one saw or recognized me, and so I arrived at the demoness' room.

The door was closed, but the lock could not contain my power, and there it was, all alone for me, I only had to pass the other door to get to the king's chambers.

I felt the power of the demons inside me, as if they had given me something, a part of their power that was sleeping and now fully awake. And in a matter of seconds, I found myself on the other side.

The rooms were vast and lavish, I found his desk when I heard that the king was being carried to his other chambers.

I looked and found maps and data, I did not understand anything I saw, but whispers told me to take one thing and another, and I recorded everything I observed in my mind.

The bed was messy, and I could see traces of blood on the sheets, also various potions and substances around.

"Spells? Witches? No doubt something happened to the king, something he wanted to keep very, very secret."

"Leave some of your blood..." the voices told me and I cut my hand with a letter opener I found on the desk and when a drop landed on the wood it was immediately absorbed, and I felt it spread throughout the room.

"This will keep us here for a while. That's it, Alpha, time to go," they whispered to me.

I wiped my hand and took some of the blood and put it all over my clothes. And even when Asher tried to blame… he didn't have proofs. So… I was safe.

"It was very valuable, Alpha... this information will help us win the war," the whisperers said as I talked to them on the balcony at midnight.

"What is it? What does it mean? What does the king have?" I asked.

"You will know soon enough.... We will have a meeting in a few days. You've done your part, Alpha... now it's time to take the plan," they said, and I watched as they placed Ava's talisman in my hand.

It was true, I had lost it, I guess they knew I would be out for several days and that Ava could easily take it from me.

I had done well, and they knew it...now they would understand my value, I thought as I lay down. They will help me get my mate to accept me...I am so close to getting everything I want.

Suddenly the door burst open and I saw the demoness, completely enraged.

"You..." she said with hatred.

"Demoness... What are you doing in my room, will you finally fall for my charms? Maybe I could accept you tonight..." I said, getting up from the bed and inviting her into my bed.

"How dare you, are you really that desperate or have you completely lost your mind to do all this?"

"What do you mean?" I asked innocently.

"You...this is your doing...you did all this to distract us and get into my room." I walked over to her, very confidently, and stood very close to her.

"Demoness...if you wanted me... you just have to say it" I told her, and she started to attack me.

I quickly stopped her, putting her back against my chest, holding her hands, which had two knives in them, and I took advantage and put my hand across her stomach, going down to her belly, pressing her against me.

"You're a... you fucking bastard. If you do anything to my master..."

"Shh shh, Avalon... what are you going to do? You can't attack me, remember? I still have your talisman. I know you were looking for it while I was asleep, but... it's still in my possession. You better get used to it..." I whispered in her ear and ran my tongue over her neck, she wiggled in my arms.

"I'll find a way to prove what you did..." she pushed me away and let go.

"You really think I staged that attack? From my stretcher? You flatter me..." I said smiling, and she looked at me with anger.

"You're getting yourself into trouble that you won't get out of, at least not alive. And I swear I will find a way to finish you first... .... " she threatened me.

"No, I'll do it first. Now... either you undress and do everything your master asks you to do... ... or get the hell out of my room," I told her and she flew out.

It's a shame, my mate was with Asher for a while I was supposed to be fully recovered, and I missed her... I needed some warmth in my bed.

I dreamed of the days when my little dove would be with me until the end of our time. As my queen, my goddess.

Suddenly, there was another knock at my door and I thought it was Ava that would accept my invitation, but I saw with surprise that it was one of the Omegas.

"You have a message, Alpha..."

"I'm waiting for you outside in the gardens, mate..." the message said, and I didn't think twice and ran out.

"Mate? Little dove? Where are you?" I asked excitedly, searching for her scent. But I was surprised to see someone else.

"Ivan? What the hell are you doing here?" my Beta here... it didn't make sense.

"Alpha... We got a message that you were injured and..."

"You have no reason to be here, you have to leave, you're complicating all our plans..." I interrupted.

"Alpha, I just wanted to bring you help..." he said as I saw another person appear.

"Jenny? What the hell?" I said nervously as she jumped into my arms.

"My Alpha...we're finally going to be together. I couldn't stop thinking about you," she said, crying.
