Werewolf
Sold by my Alpha, bought by my Mate Chapter 125: Deceiving the bond
Randall
"You must take it. It is the only way to increase the power we have given you," they said.
"I just want to wait a little longer, maybe until the battle. I'm sure I'll be fully prepared by then," I said, trying to dissuade them, but it was impossible.
"Alpha, if you really want to increase your abilities and even the connection to your mate, this is the only way..." the demons told me.
Strengthen my connection with her...
I saw her more and more clearly, as if she was, there waiting for me. I told them everything I saw, which sometimes wasn't much, though they seemed to find logic and advantage in the little I could say.
Because my connection was not with the future or with what was happening, my connection was entirely with her, solely using our corrupted bond. Mildred was like my compass, as soon as the demons used their power, it led me to her.
And the problem was that the closer I had her, the more I saw that I could really see her and not wonder what she would do or where she was... I wanted her more. But The Whisperer powers didn't come for free.
"You must take it, Alpha," they said, referring to the vampire blood.
I had already decided not to take it, pushing the decision as a last resort, but now I was between a rock and a hard place.
"We know you resisted, Alpha... Or is it that you're not as committed to the cause as we thought? You convinced many Alphas to take it... but you didn't..." the vampire told me.
I believed that if I took his blood, he would have some power over me. I couldn't explain it; the truth was that the whole idea disgusted me immensely.
"Of course not. You know how much I need her and what I'm willing to do for her," I said, complaining.
"Then there's no reason to refuse..." they said, and now I felt I had no other choice.
Apparently, Balthazar was one of the strongest and most lineage-rich vampires, perhaps only comparable to Jeremiah, though he hated being compared to him.
And when the liquid touched my lips, I understood what they were talking about. I felt comfortable; my senses were heightened even more than a werewolf's: my pupils dilated, everything in me regained its new senses as if I had been asleep before. I could see everything as it was, and now... better, it was completely different.
"You feel it... right?" the demon said, satisfied.
"Yes, I feel it..."
"Now we can work better..." they said, and one of them put his decrepit hands on my shoulders. Now I flew to them, becoming faster, more accurate, and more real each time.
I saw them in meetings, everyone seemed attentive. It was true, they had discovered her powers.
"What do you see?" they asked.
“They are going to the castle… soon. They have more allies. And they are preparing for war”
I gave a few random details; the truth was, I couldn't concentrate on anything but her, the shape of her face, the color of her sweet lips, the tone of her voice.
And I could almost swear I could smell her scent, it was fantastic. But as quickly as this wonderful sensation had arrived, it was gone.
"What happened?" I said as they moved away from me.
"She's resisting. If we're not careful, she'll find out," they said. But of course they already had the information they needed. I wanted more from her.
"I need to see her again!"
"We can't expose ourselves,"
"I need her!" but there was no way, I was desperate. As soon I was alone and saw who could and should help me.
"Demoness... I need your help," I said, clutching her to me.
I had been so wrapped up in seeing Mildred again that I had even forgotten about her and Jessica. Unfortunately, they were two powerful addictions: vampire blood and my mate.
"I can't help you with that," Ava said, as if she knew what I was going to ask.
"Yes, you can, and you will!" I said, pulling her into my tent.
"My brothers are right, she might notice," she said, but I knew it was just another excuse not to help me.
"You should help me, demoness. Are you on their side or mine?" I said and she sighed.
"If Mildred finds out, my brothers will take more desperate measures. You don't want to see them like that. It's better that she feels safe..."
"I don't give a damn! You'll owe me, or I'll gut your little boyfriend right in front of you. You know who... the beta" I said. Yes... I knew her weakness. She cared about him. She was screwed.
"I don't care..."
"Yes, you do..." I said, stroking her hair, and she pushed me away. I squeezed the talisman in my hands, almost to the point of bleeding.
"You will... you will do as I say and be thankful it's not something else taht I asked you... I own you demoness" I said, obsessed, and I saw her struggle with herself until she fell to her knees.
"That's better," I said, and soon I had Mildred back in front of me.
She was so beautiful; my wolf kept howling that we should have realized how beautiful she was when we met her, that she could be in our arms right now instead of with him in another pack.
Suddenly, I lost the connection and found Ava on the ground, exhausted. I grab her by the neck.
"Again!"
"Again!" I said over and over until she was drained.
I watched my little dove in an aisle, waiting for him. She didn't have to say anything; I knew from her gestures and expressions that something had happened between them and that she was suffering from seeing him again. The thought discouraged me. I followed her everywhere until she went to her room alone.
I saw her coming out of the bathroom in her underwear, and just seeing her turned me on. She looked delicious, and my eyes feasted on her even though I was far away.
“We can get closer...I can almost feel her...touch her” my wolf says.
