Werewolf
Sold by my Alpha, bought by my Mate Chapter 23: Tension and fun
Ava
"Ava... Are you all right? You've been absent,"
How could I explain everything that had happened?
"Yes, Your Majesty. It's just that there seem to be more problems than we imagined," I told him.
"Don't even tell me. I need you even more on all of this. Something strange is going on. I feel it deep inside me," he said.
Stupid Randall and all his ancestors. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't help it when he told Asher's wolf to go crazy.
I had to admit that I actually felt sorry for him. He had literally lost his mind and had attacked his best friends, who I knew he wouldn't harm under any other circumstances.
He was a stubborn Alpha, obstinate, and I knew we didn't get along. But he had been loyal to his people, I had no doubt of that, and I also knew that he supported my king.
What the hell was I going to do? I knew that Randall had scored a few points in his favor, even though I trusted Little thing not to believe any of it.
I had caused harm and had tried to make amends when I led her to the conversation, where I imagined the little vampire had begun to use his big brain to realize that all of this was really weird.
And finally, I had been happy to see her approach her mate and stay with him. Now I had to think of other ways to get rid of this idiot... before my king realized that I didn't have his bracelet. And that I was the one who had caused all this.
I felt movement near me and smiled.
"Looks like things didn't turn out the way you expected, Rat... dall," I said to Randall, who looked at me with hatred.
"That was the first blow, she soon will realize what he really is: a monster, a savage, a murderer. Sooner or later, she would fall into my hands, it was inevitable, especially with the help of someone so powerful," he said.
"We'll see about that. You still had time, rat... to return what's mine, and maybe, just maybe, I wouldn't tear you to pieces."
"Forget it, bitch... I fought hard and sacrificed too much..." he said, showing the bracelet in his hand, and I growled with anger. Then I saw him call the guards and they took Little thing away from Asher.
"No, no! Let me go! Leave him alone!" she cried when she saw that they were now chaining her mate.
"Don't touch her!" Asher yelled as Randall rejoiced.
This was getting out of hand.
I had to figure out a way to get rid of this sucker once and for all. Maybe I should have researched my king's enemies more thoroughly, and then had someone else do me the favor of killing Randall.
Leaving... didn't seem to be an option; my king wanted me with him. And it would be dangerous to leave. But what if I became the danger?
I tried to distance myself, but every step I took away from the territory, I felt the pull of the talisman. My other master, the bastard, was not as benevolent as the king, for whom I had never been a slave.
Maximus... had found me in my time of need and helped me. He wasn't an easy man, but over time we had come to know each other well and had helped each other.
At that point, I wasn't following his orders, but I would do whatever it took to help him.
But I had to find a solution, especially since I was starting to feel very tense... and then I would go wild.
Well, well... if it isn't the most beautiful demoness in the castle," said a familiar voice.
The Beta had been as persistent as he was irritating. He had been injured, and I must say I had felt a little sorry for him.
But since he had recovered, he had returned to his antics: chasing me, keeping an eye on me, making his bad jokes and compliments, and generally following me around like a lapdog.
"Puppy, I'm the only demoness here. You should rest...your Alpha gave you quite a beating," I told him, looking at him with his usual big smile. He was very irritating and at the same time... adorable like a dog.
"A beating? Nahh! You haven't seen me at my best... that would be like a training session I have with him. I'm a great warrior, I don't give up easily," he said proudly.
"And I thought I could get rid of you for longer," I told him. I had to admit that I liked our little game. He chased me, and I kept him in line.
"I actually wanted to thank you..." he said.
"Is that so?" Now that I looked at him more closely, I had to say that he was attractive, the damn thing, light eyes, dark hair. He was a young and handsome little wolf.
"Yes... you saved me and... I wanted to know if you would like to have dinner with me," he seemed a little nervous.
Yes, I had protected him, not a usual move on my side.
"We have dinner all the time," I replied.
"I meant a dinner just the two of us... I could prepare something special for you... you know, for helping me... getting my uncontrollable Alpha off my back." I couldn't help but smile. He was so innocent.
"You think you can handle a demon? Did you know that men have died just thinking about going out with me?"
"I'm willing to take that risk," he said, very firmly.
I saw his juicy, pouting lips and heard his heart beating fast. Everything about him was fresh, sincere, so human that I couldn't help myself.
I pinned him against a wall and cornered him, pushing him with my body. His expression was one of surprise, but he didn't struggle.
And I kissed him.
His lips were surprisingly soft and quite skilled; he hugged me, holding my back and stroking my hair. He didn't take advantage of this closeness but behaved like a man in love. The idea seemed as ridiculous as it was tender.
I roamed his mouth, enjoying its softness and taste more and more; his tongue welcomed me, playing with mine, while I pressed my body against his, feeling how quickly he reacted.
I pulled away from him, biting his lip gently as he gasped in excitement.
"Wow, that was... wow,"
I saw his pupils dilating and his hands almost trembling. He was really excited about all of this... and strangely enough, so was I.
And what was even more incredible... I felt my tension and the heaviness in my heart ease. Yes... this little wolf would help me.
"Interesting..." I pulled away. I saw him licking his lips, his eyes not going all over my body like Randall's, but fixing on my eyes.
"Is that a yes to dinner? Because if it is, it's the best fucking yes I've ever gotten in my entire life," I exclaimed enthusiastically.
"We'll see... but rest assured, I'll be choosing the menu," I told him.
I thought I had found a new distraction.
