Werewolf
Sold by my Alpha, bought by my Mate Chapter 95: The King's Special Place
Mildred
"You really moved all my things in here," I said, smiling as I found all my belongings neatly arranged in his room.
"That's right, because from now on we'll be together forever" he said, and the thought made me smile.
He had, as was his custom, my paintings all over the room, and anyone who came in would think he was a man who thought he was very important, since he was in all the paintings. The thought made me laugh.
"There seems to be a Luna who is obsessed with his Alpha," he say, hugging me from behind.
"My Alpha is a very good model," I reply, listening to him purr.
"Well, I'm sure I can find new and very creative ways for you to paint me," I listen to my heart race.
"I guess you like what I tell you, mate," he say, moving his hand down to my chest, stroking where my heart was, running his fingers gently.
It was getting harder and harder to be together without begging him to mark me. I knew the night was coming when we would mate, and while I felt immense desire, I also felt a little fear.
"But we'll leave that for now, because as I promised you, I have to take you to a special place," and we leave the castle, he was carrying a backpack and I a basket with some snacks.
"Is this safe?" I asked him, a little nervous.
"Absolutely yes. In fact, it's one of the safest areas in all of His Majesty's territory," he tells me as I watched the guards fall back as we made our way up a mountain and into a cave.
"What's in here?"
"You will see, but first I must let Cormac take control. Only a wolf can get through, and you will, because you're my mate," he said, going behind some rocks to change. Cormac reappeared, clothes clenched in his mouth.
"Cormac," I said, glad to see him, and the wolf came toward me, a little nervous. I remembered the first and only time I had seen him; he had been out of control, but now he looked great.
"You are such a beautiful wolf," he seemed to cheer up, as if I had somehow forgiven him.
I stroked his ears, his fur, and was delighted at how beautiful and strong he was.
We continued on our way while he turned around from time to time to see if I was okay. I saw stalactites on the ceiling and thought that this place must be very, very old.
Finally, the cave opened up to reveal a landscape I had never imagined.
"Goddess…"
Below us was a valley, small but majestic. Birds were flying around in front of us, while I also saw butterflies, and I found flowers of all colors around the trees.
It really looked like Eden and as if spring was here forever.
We made our way through the lush and large vegetation, the huge leaves with fantastic flowers. Asher appeared in his human form and carried me, spinning me around this beautiful place.
"What miracle is this?" I asked him, delighted.
"It's a very special place. In the castle they call it 'His Majesty's Paradise'. They say it was created long ago when His Majesty was younger. Some say that a part of His Majesty's power is concentrated here. That's why I told you it was the safest place of all," he explained.
"Doesn't he ever come here?" I asked, looking at the fruit as he brought me a strawberry that looked red and very juicy.
"Very little, apparently. Jeremiah told me this place was once meant for His Majesty's mate..."
"But he doesn't have one" Sometimes it seemed to me that part of his sadness came from not having a mate to share his long life with.
"That's why he's not coming anymore. But I wanted to bring you here because in my pack the Luna and alpha usually meet in the forest before the ceremony to talk about the future and things to come" he was saying, and I was starting to get nervous.
"I'm convinced, mate, that you're going to do it perfectly. You're a true Luna. I knew it from the instant you cared about others, and how you treated Duncan, and how you were so warmly received at River Ash."
"You really mean that?"
"Of course I do. You're the Luna we've all been waiting for," he says, and his words gave me so much confidence.
"There's something I wanted to talk to you about too, mate," he adds and pull one of my paintings out of his bag. It was one of the first I painted, of him.
"This one... it's from a long time ago. I think it's been a long time... I loved you. When you gave me the painting materials and I started to feel free again,"
"I don't think I have the words to tell you how happy you make me when I see these paintings after the eclipse. You moved something in me, mate, something I don't know how to describe," he says, and suddenly pull out another painting that I didn't remember seeing, or even making.
In it is him, crying, but he is extremely happy, and in his arms is a little boy. The child is beautiful, and you don't have to be a genius to know that it is his, for it has his eyes and also his hair, and I feel a lump in my throat.
"I know it's not going to be now, and that we even still have many questions about your gift, my mate. But if this is true, if this is going to happen...goddess Millie…" he said deeply moved, and I didn't know what to say.
"What if I can't give you a real Alpha?", I asked suddenly, very nervous, and he looks at me amazed.
"If the goddess Luna does want it, we'll have a little one, and whatever it is, he's going to be the heir to my pack. Simply because it's going to be ours. No matter what he looks like, he's going to be loved and cherished. My mate, there's nothing that comes from you that I can't love" he confesses to me.
The subject leaves me troubled, though I don't know why. I guess it's part of coming from a place where no one believes you can do any good, where everyone thought I was worthless.
We walk around this wonderful place and I marvel at looking at all the new things and feeling like this is going to be one of the best memories of my life.
"You know, you could be a famous and recognized painter," he says suddenly as I sat on his lap, and we looked at the place from the highest point.
